Warning! Grown man crying. One of the best lyrics of all time. The meaning of this song. The emotion. The music. So thankful that there are so many others out there that actually get it. Its a Life Anthem. That song gives steve the strength. As well as me. This is your job now my pearl jam brothers..... its always been your job. Giving hope to the hopless. A human light. YES. such a delight to hear somebody say something I feel as well. Very rare that somebody “gets it”
This still gives me chills. I work at a hospital as a housekeeper. I usually work in the behavioral health building. A lot of people with anxiety and depression. This is one song I suggested to therapy for music therapy. I also suggested they watch "Gleason." A lot of patients have came up to me thanking me and crying.

Steve Gleason is an unbelievable human being. I wished I could meet him. Pearl Jam is the greatest band ever
This song was a uplifting one for me when I first heard it for my own minor issues. But when my father was diagnosed with kidney/melanoma cancer in 2014/15 it became a rallying cry for me. On his passing on June 3, 2015 I shared these lyrics as thoughts and praise for my father. Cause all we can do is move forward as live the life they wanted us to live. So we all can choose to feel as we are.

There were a lot of tears rolling down cheeks. Mine included. This show was chock full of emotion from both the band and the crowd!

I agree with Caleb, grown men do cry and I got news too it's healthy and it's most importantly human! I'm a veteran who gave 24 years out of my 61 because of people like Steve Gleason and pearl jam. I hate the division going on right now and it's all politically based! We need to stop letting politicians dictate how we feel.and we the people need to take the power back, this is our country not the corporate hacks who have their recieving agendas. It's our job to protect the ideals of this country for our children, their children etc! We may not always or seldom agree on issues but I think we can all agree we're blessed to live in a country that's strongest with it's diversity in full swing. Yep grown men cry including this Army Ranger who puts family, friends and country first! I'm a proud liberal but most importantly I'm a proud American! One love and one united States! The class of Pearl jam...I don't actually know who Steve Gleason is, but obviously Chicago does. That was an amazing tribute and moving intro...and pretty obvious McCready was fired up..
