I love it. Does everything that I need. Very impressed with bluetooth quality. I bought mine from crutchfield so they automatically include the bracket that allows the head unit to fit in the car.
thanks, appreciate it! installation went perfect. I'm very new to car audio, this being my first installation. But everything worked on first go which was nice. I have the shaker 500 as well and this head unit increased sound quality a lot. I'm not concerned about getting new speakers any more. My one suggestion is to get the Ford PAC Interface. Unless your really good with car audio, just get this. Made installation just plug and go after connecting all wires together.

our dvd video is not showing the pic only sounds? any suggestions?
basically when you put your parking brake on, it completes a wiring circuit. this is how the head unit knows your car is not moving and allows movies to play. a brake bypass works to bypass the circuit or something like that. that's why in some head units (kenwood), you can just ground the brake wire and it will work. unfortunately newer head units like the x2500, also uses motion sensors to detect movement. but the bypasses also account for this and makes it work.
for music you can use the same usb cable that came with your ipod. but if you want to do video or advanced app mode, you need pioneers official cable.
I don't have an ipod to test it but I read on crutchfield it does support this . For video, I believe you need the special cable though.

it is pretty good imo. I drive a mustang that is pretty loud so sometimes its hard for people to hear me but I say its pretty good.
yes you can change the setting from wireless to bluetooth
The headunit comes with a USB cable. So just plug it in and run the cable to an easy accessible place. If you can, think about where you would want the cable to be when you install it. Some people put it in glove compartment, center console, etc.
So what's the diff between the x1500 the x2500 and all the way to x5500?? Can someone explain me plz
I think we do. I just downloaded that app and the app mode didn't come up on the pioneer head unit.
Voice commands are present. But I think its gonna depend on the phone you have. I have a sgs3, so I my voice commands use S-voice. Examples(Call Dad, navigate to..., etc). Basically anything you can do within Svoice, will come through the car stereo(directions, read outs from Svoice). Advanced app mode is only available for iphone unfortunately. So no apps displayed from android phone onto screen. But any sound from apps will come through speakers(gps directions from google maps)

Sir, you just persuaded me to buy this.
its a great unit. very easily actually. you have to take the whole plastic center console piece out. so you just run the USB cable down underneath there next to the shifter. Then theres that piece(closest to driver side) in the center console compartment. Pop that piece out and run USB into center console. works perfect and is hidden. love it.
Yeah its navigation ready. Just requires the AVIC-U250 add-on navigation system.
Do I have to have a separate cable for my ipod or can I connect the one that came with the phone

I see in your setting the bluetooth reset and auto eq are not highlighted? Can you not use these options? Mine do not show up either.

So when you're listening to bluetooth I noticed it has the big BLUETOOTH text in the background the whole time and I was wondering if there's any way to turn that off?

I believe the sound you're talking about is the unit actually running. If that's the case, than nothing you can do about it. Or do you have a misconnection and your speakers are giving off a sound.
Does is have a rear view camera?
do i have to jailbreak my iphone to watch youtube, im only getting audio? Dvd works fine even while driving..just youtube wont play video..

How is the call sound quality using bluetooth? And yes a lot of people are happy they moved the usb back to the rear, I refused to buy one like that looked sloppy and would get in the way of me shifting.
You have to buy the navigation adapter. the x2500 doesn't come with navigation built in.
I forget what the wires were but if there is another prospective green wire that matches, hook it up.
Question! I have a six disc changer in my v. How does it works with that if I can't load all six without the load button being replace. Maxima 06?

Whats up man nice review. I have a 2008 mustang gt too and was wondering if there were any problems you ran into when installing? i know sometimes its a real pain. Also do you have the shaker 500 speakers or the shaker 1000 setup? i have 500 so i was hoping it still sounded good as im having problems with my stock 500 head unit and am replacing with this most likely. Once an iPhone is paired with the unit to play audio/receive calls, each time you start the car will the bluetooth audio resume automatically without needing to manually press play?

I bought my unit from crutchfield. with the purchase of the unit they included the bracket(rectangle) with it for free. Also everything else needed for installation. give them a look. probably can get it from amazon cheaper but make sure you get the right stuff.

How u connect you iPhone
I know you said you don't have an iphone, but why does it say you need to buy that cord when you can easily just put your usb connection? I just bought this unit and it works fine with my iphone usb; the only trouble i'm having is using the compatible apps with the unit. Do you know how I can access the apps on my unit? it's in the back. you can just run an aux cable to where ever you want. I like it better like that. no wires dangling from unit. I don't know much about the kenwood. but after looking at it on crutchfield, I'm not sure it has an aux port .

Nice video. I installed this unit in my Scion last friday and Im loving it too. My question is if you've been able to get it to display the album art? I burned some mp3's with album art and its not showing it. Am going to try with a flash drive.

Installed it in my Prius 2010 with 6x9's on front and Components in rear doors. and iv got to say you dont need a sub or amp the sound is pretty awesome.

Its very quick. I turn on my car and within 10 seconds its connected. I don't think they "download", but when your phone is connected, all your contacts show up and you can scroll through them all. You can also search by missed, dialed calls. Or type in the number on the number pad.
Yea i have seen that I emailed pioneer and they said android is not supported on this model... It confused me because that's the only reason I got this radio in the first place plus they have the android compatibility labeled on the box? Also on amazon I saw that cable for like $60 $100 is way to exspensive.. but I don't think there is a place on the back for HDMI I could be wrong though.. if it does have HDMI then all we would need is the MHL cable because our phones are MHL compatible

If ever wanted to add a USB to the headunit, how exactly do you plug it in since you already installed your head unit and the USB / aux ports is located in the rear? Sorry if this seems like a dumb question. I'm new to car audio.

Yeah should. Check on crutchfield, but it should. Don't forget you need the bracket for installation. depending where you ordered it from, that may or may not come with it.

Can you do voice commands, such as saying "call John"? If so, what other voice commands are available? What apps can you use; what are the limitations of those apps and which function the best?
Can you do any of the advance apps or do you need to have the official cable? I was going to use an old iphone that's not activated and get some offline maps for navigation but really didn't want to buy the expensive cable.
