Hello , I have a question, women 54 y.o, had urinary infection with urine culture ( S. Aureus) and the same time she has pain in the articulation ( foot and knee) so for the urinary infection she was treated with Ciprofloxacina and she become well and the symptoms of urinary infection have disappeared, but she has blood culture with (S. Aureus) and MSSA but also its sensitive to Augmentin ( Amoxicillina ac.clavu). So my question if she can be treated with amoxicillin ac.clavu like first line or she should be treated with cefazolina?

So incidentally found Staph aureus bacteriuria without preceding urologic instrumentation would be another indication for treatment of asymptomatic bacteriuria for 7-10 days? And with what - the drugs of choice for SAB that necessitate PICC line placement?
