An arcade package that is planned out and is setup less "traditional" and more incorporating Launchbox specific ideas, shortcuts, media on multiple interactive monitors, menu interactions, the discovery center, etc would be super cool and I'm sort of working towards that. I'm also looking for ways to take cool ideas from this setup to just share, like the sinden launch script in my other videos. I'll see how that goes!
Wow huge build! Great job! Looks really good. What is the theme and bigbox startup video? Man I’m really impressed with the review of your build. lol. It’s gonna take me a while watch it all. Thanks for the entertaining and informative video. Great job! Cheers!
There's quite a mix of themes! The main ones in use are forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/4041-vision/ for the main screens, which loads into forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/929-coverbox/ after selection. The startup video is forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/1990-tychos-arcade-startup-version-b/
Hello ! Man what is this !! Haven't seen any retro hhd more clean than this ! No dupes , incredible setup always with game cover photos and gameplay video to get an idea of what the game looks like, and the fact that it looks like it does when its 100tb plus , list of games its actually insane ! I cant imagine how long it took to do that . The choice of controllers and just everything about this is just perfect !! Man gzz really this is just wow !!! One thing i dint see is the complete number of games of each list but maybe it was shown on bottom left where your camera was ?? Also favourite list ? Where you can access games easier by adding/removing games from favourites ?? Also do you have discord ? Id like to join and also buy this hhd when you finally make it to sell !
Thank you, I appreciate your time and message!! Lol I haven't got around to creating my own favorites list but that seems to make sense to focus on next! I'm around on discord in the launchbox channel normally, but pretty quiet 😄
the menu of the controlers you pull upp is that built in i launchbox big box? i have many different controllers like you and want the menu like you have to chose the controller for the right consol use
Yup it sure is! Basically, in launchbox, under Tools - Emulators. Anything listed here has an "Associated section" so for example, add Retroarch emulator, associate it's Super Nintendo core (snes9x maybe) to the super Nintendo section. Now you have Retroarch Snes9x core showing in the Launch With area showing. Now you do this for every section with every emulator, fun times! Lol
Hi Mr. @Aces Can you publish your data folder of your Launchbox? Your 100TB archive is really magnificent. I want to make 1G1R USA romset for all systems. But some packs really crumbled. The data folder only contains only Games, Platform and Emulators data. It does not include a license or any personal information. Your system looks soo good.
Hi! Main theme is Vision at the start, each individual console has a different theme after at game list, most being coverbox and coverbox-fragments. When selecting a theme, you can apply it to main menu or sub menus to specify when it comes up, so you can mix em up!
wow great build and setup with possebility to start with different controlers for each game. i want one build like this. whats you price :P only one big build like this iv seen is retrobeat of 112tb
Thank you! I think Kris and his Retrobeast project are great; he has some really cool ideas! Seeing both of our approaches to a huge setup like this is fun to watch and compare. Hopefully it gives some perspectives and ideas to work into your own setup, in fact, time to go watch and see what Kriscoolmod has been up to lately!
Hmm! Well, I had experience using Hyperspin and autohotkey prior to this and general emulator knowledge for a few years. But from "What's a Launchbox?" to the point of the first video I uploaded was about 6-7 months of work. This was starting fresh nuking any previous romset and config I had, finding out what a sinden lightgun is etc, then basically watching all the great youtubers out there showing their own builds, taking ideas I enjoyed and working them into this!
I have brief experience with retrobat! I think it's a super unique and cool approach to an emulation system, but more for a lower powered machine or something dedicated to a system theme. It's also fantastic to start as it seems pretty easy and configured for you. For anything advanced, Launchbox and Retrobat are comparing apples to oranges. Launchbox takes much more time and effort, but will reward you with versatility and things you can do in my videos. I would 100% run retrobat on a handheld unit or a lower power Dell refurb though!

@@AcesArcade can you give me discord link ? :)
How do you make categories like console and handheld?
I believe default categories are created when opening launchbox, then if something isn't there, should be able to choose to add Category.

Tried building a setup but never anything like yours
How long did this setup/ build take you ? In total

Hi there do you have a download link? Would love to try it myself!
No download links, but I'd be glad to help with questions on your own configurations!
@@AcesArcadedo you sell or recommend someone that would sell.
