Israel got 2nd in the public vote. The silent majority has spoken.
Uk was revolting, its not a gay pride sex show
The percentage of homosexuals in Eurovision has significantly increased in recent years, and I think that in the future it will be very difficult to have a heterosexual winner..
You are revolting
It has become just that, a gay pride sex show......... a Satanic show......... same difference.

As a Spanish citizen, I am ashamed of the judges' votes in the competition. It was so political. Too bad. This is a music competition and the fact that they didn't give a single point to the Israeli singer says everything. I think it's time to do a different order in this competition to let everyone around the world vote. It is a fact that most ordinary people chose the Israeli song.
On the other hand, the Spanish people gave us 12 points!! thank you for that!! ❤🧡💛
If russia is banned, then Israël should be also. I understand the comments about the fact that the best singer and song should be chosen, but Israel should never have participated. you shouldn't give something like that a platform. and realize that if they won, the Eurovision Song Contest would have to take place there next year...
@@DR-sq4gxIsrael were the victims on Oct 7th not Palestine so shouldn't be disqualified.
They were the victims.
@EmmaSB How many civilians has the genocidal Israeli regime killed again? What percentage of them is children, again?
Get a grip. You're defending a genocidal regime.
A GENOCIDAL regime, let that sink in.
@@DR-sq4gx And Israel is not even in Europe.
The fact that Israel garnered so many points despite the lefty, Nazi and Islamic protests speaks volumes.
The silent EMPLOYED majority stands with Israel.
I'd rather say that both sides in that conflict have their radicals plus a group of non-rabid supporters.
But the large actually productive majority don't have much time to waste on the whole thing. That's the people who just like them a good song about somrthing they understand, and voted for Croatia instead of either side of hostilities.
Not really: pro israeli voters had an easy task - to support Israel. Pro Palestinian ones would have to divide their support between the other 24 candidates. So while undoubtedly Israel had plenty of support, it’s not such a big achievement. 🍉✨

@@DemosthenesKar Ha ha ha! Israel has always been the home of the Jewish people. People like you don't understand Israeli demographics at all. There are three main groups of Israeli Jews. There are those whose families have always lived in Israel, there are those who have origins in Europe and there are many who have origins in the Muslim world. Baghdad was once a majority-Jewish city, for example. The Iraqis expelled them. Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, etc. all once had significant Jewish populations. They were either expelled or put under so much pressure that they had little choice but to leave. Israel coped with this influx of diverse peoples and forged a thriving society. Hamastanis embraced failure, hatred and terror.
Yet Israel rocked it, coming in a close second in the public vote which tells a lot!!! And finished 5th despite receiving very few votes from the jury. In my opinion the EBU did not want Israel to win, despite their representative having the most powerful voice in the competition. But that’s expected, politics.

If we focus solely on the public vote in Eurovision, which I consider to be the genuine reflection of music lovers' preferences rather than the decisions influenced by political motives, a clearer picture emerges. Let's examine the data:
In the Eurovision 2024 public vote, the top 5 countries were:
Croatia - 337 points
Israel - 323 points
Ukraine - 307 points
Switzerland - 227 points (tied)
France - 227 points (tied)
To me, these numbers represent the authentic sentiments of the audience, with Israel ranking second and so forth down the list. The rest seems to be steeped in political maneuvering, which is regrettable. The discrepancy is glaring, particularly in the case of the Swiss singer, whose tally does not align with the public's preferences. This trend undermines the credibility of Eurovision as a music contest and emphasizes its transformation into a platform for political agendas. There appears to be no correlation between the quality of the songs and the points awarded, as countries seem more focused on leveraging votes for political gain.
If Eurovision wishes to maintain its relevance, it must relinquish the influence of these country-appointed judges and prioritize the voice of the people. Politics has no place in a competition meant to unite people through music. The repeated interference of political interests tarnishes the purity of the event, casting doubt on its future participation from talented artists, advertisers, and television networks. Despite these concerns, it's likely that vested interests will persist, driven by the allure of power and influence.
Moreover, the infiltration of political agendas is not the only issue plaguing Eurovision. It now serves as a platform for dissenters who exploit freedom of speech to propagate hate and division. Their actions, fueled by Iran and its proxies' money in various organizations, under the guise of protest, only serve to disrupt events aimed at fostering unity. It's ironic and unfortunate that such individuals, whom I would refer to as moderate Nazis, find space to spread their messages of hatred under the guise of freedom of expression. This undermines the very essence of Eurovision and threatens the collective enjoyment of people worldwide, especially those who advocate for peace and inclusivity.
Adding to the irony, the Eurovision, meant to foster peace between nations, now faces this challenge in light of recent events. The tragic history of over 1400 Israelis murdered, kidnapped, and raped during a peace festival underscores the urgent need for events like Eurovision, aimed at promoting harmony and understanding among countries. Yet, these atrocities continue to cast a dark shadow over such gatherings meant for celebration and camaraderie.
Are you suggesting that all those public votes for Israel were not a political choice by any means? Then why did Israel spread adds all over the world asking to vote for Israel's entry? That's a lot of free votes thanks to the diaspora. It has nothing to do with the song nor with the artist. And why did the Israelian jury award 12 points to Luxemburg? Because of the song or because she has Israelian origins? We all know the answer.
The jury comprises of more artistic people and they vote for more artistic things, though they balance the unfair position each contestant is during the competition. Before the jury 90% of all winners are from the last 8 performances (because they have the highest viewership and they are more recent when they are voting (most people vote at the end)) which was a clearly unfair trend. Before yesterdays performance there was no second place (Ukraine) ever reached the last 20 years top 10.
The people that are voting though they themselves are extremely political and that goes a long away due to the fact that each phone has 20 votes. A random greek might vote 3 times lets say, italy, ireland and france. A ukrainian refugee in germany will set aside 15 euro and vote ukraine with all 20 allowed times. The televote doesn't represent which countries had the broadest appeal but who got the most passionate fans.
European media in many countries also is very open about the crimes done to palestine the last 50 years, shows the destroyed hospitals, shows the fact that palestinians had the right of one third of the water israelis have, shows the active colonial settelements in west bank and land aquisitions. Being anti colonial is hardly a fringe opinion.

Correction, Greta is not a national Hero for Sweden. Only for the left woke side. Many Swedes cannot stand her.
The Swedish public gave Israel 12 points. I have been in Sweden many times and have lived in Malmö. Malmö is a bit of an embarrassment for Sweden. It has also been banned from hosting a number of international events because of the number of radicals living there who've disrupted events. If you look at the results of the public votes, the countries with the most problems with radical Islam (Sweden, France, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium etc.) are also the countries that gave Israel 12 points. The one Muslim-majority country in the contest, Albania, interestingly enough, also gave Israel 12 points.
Maybe condemn the genocide and war atrocities instead of copying over several paragraphs... 🤷
All those who bullied a 21 year old girl should be ashamed and those involved should be banned from taking part in next years contest.
When it's political you need a neutral country to win, and you cannot get any neutral than Switzerland.
100% Switzerland takes cash from anyone...

Not even their performer can pick a side (non binary….)

Israel itself should have chosen not to participate, out of respect for all the dead and wounded, both in it's own country and in Palestine. You simply don't participate in a festive festival.
Isreal thinks that she can join in with "the fun", and she participates anyway, and also expects that it will be a party when she is on stage. The 20 year old girl can't do anything about it anyway. But Israel should not have sent anyone this year, out of respect for all the victims.
Haven’t been watching this for years. Total waste of money.
Euroba good luck with your Arab friends. Enjoy

just becuse israel buys votes dos not mean her song was any good :I israel has sent better before...
Should be renamed The Eurovision "PONG" CONTEST!! 💩💩💩💩
Hurricane got 323 televote points, but measured in actual numbers of SMS, it was the most popular in Europe by far! ESC haven't published the numbers so far, but Eden Golan got top score from big countries. That means a lot. Congratulations, Israel!✌✌✌
The uk entry was perverted discusting and shameful on the uk. Won’t watch again

O loved how Eden left the polosh journalist speechless
Eurovision owes Eden an unreserved apology for it's shameful treatment of her - it is an utter disgrace that the judges bowed to the pro Palestinian mob that seems to have a free rein in Europe. It should, indeed must, be judged solely on the music not on politics/ mob rule/ pathetic wokeness. Makes a total mockery of Eurovision as a credible, fair contest.
Those who boo-ed throughout the Israel singers performance should be ashamed of themselves.
Israel should be ashamed and you should be ashamed for having this brain-dead take. 🤡
Genocide will never be okay.
free speach do still exist in the eu, the gov of israel should have bought more votes then
Treat everyone with equality, Diversity and inclusion..only when it suits one side...
Too be fair its NEVER been a song contest people have ALWAYS voted for their allies and their friends. The whole thing is utterly pointless and a total waste of money.

Uk keep embarrassing themselves every single year
Hats off to the organisers. Most figures in authority cave to the mob these days. They haven't at great cost to themselves and their event.
But it always has been...... it was the same after the second Iraq war, the UK was given NIL and everyone cheered.... then after Brexit, the same..... and all the countries tend to vote for which ever countries are a neighbour or friendly to them... its not been about songs for a long time
Usually neighbouring countries are closer culturally so of course they are going to vote for them, especially if its close to folk music of the area. Ireland is also culturally only close to the uk, yet they came 6th with a song close to celtic paganism.
Has it ever occurred to you that the UK just sent in crappy songs? The UK song in 2022 was nice and came in 2nd.

despite the hatred at the arena.
Eden, you are the Queen!
More then 20 countries of professional jury gave 0 points to Israel, while more then 10 countries tv votes gave maximum points. It's clearly wrong, from 10 points jury can give to each country, more than 20 countries just boycotted Israel by not giving any points to Israel, its not professional Jury behavior It's called corrupt unfair voting, or atleast don't call this Jury Professional music experts, as it is clearly not a case.
her song was not good man! you have sent better before!
I am from Israel and I was shocked about everything that happened there, the way she been treated and no one cared the horrible crowd.. it was just disgusting to watch.
And of course the votes.. no country voted for us.... mmm.. i wonder why....no.. not politics.
i dont think you israelis should expect a happy welcome in the eu, unless it's in the conservatives citys or nations... most people dont like people that kill kids in the quanta your idf has done, stay home and safe
When it comes to my country (Ukraine), not only the jury but much of the public did not vote for Israel, which is such a shame because we do overwhelmingly stand with your country 🇮🇱 However, Ukrainians were upset that Eden had previously performed in occupied Crimea. And that was the only reason. I feel it’s horrible how she has been treated and i did vote for her. Sorry on behalf of Ukraine and much love 💕
The judge's a side, the people gave their voice and israel got the most votes from the voters
Second most public votes
This tells us that you people can't even read a list of results
Laughed my bollox off when that thing put up by the bbc to represent the UK got nil points in the public vote
Israel being 5th and ahead of Ireland is the biggest joke.
Didn't a company from Israel sponsor the venue?
After all effort and money invested by Israeli goverment, Israel end 2nd in Public vote behind one small Croatia 😂
It's the failure of politicians that we have politics in both sport and the arts. Don't blame decent folk for having a reaction.
Funny thing is: the queer community wanted Israel to loose really bad. The audience televoters decided to change that. I feel that this was a win for normalcy. Israel came out 5th, because normal people voted for a normal person, with a normal show and a normal song.
Ffs shut it down 👎

Ahh It was a wonderful and the the beautiful event, and wonderful to see the future of european creativity and children as bent as 12 bob note - it think thats the british saying 😅
It is political, and this was made clear two years ago when Ukraine won because of the sympathy vote. So last night I decided to go political myself and voted for Israel. The juries and the audience didn't seem to like her, but the viewing public voted for her song - or just for Israel to show support. Two fingers up to the loudmouths who think that everyone is on the side of hamas.
But the thing is, Ukrainian song 2ys ago was actually good, while this year Israel was an average bull.
true it has always been that way, voted for ukraine my self!
The most interesting detail I found in all of this is that the UK phone vote was apparently 12 points to Israel. There is no way that happened, not a chance. The song was good but didn't stand out and there were clearly bigger favourites. Couple that with the large Muslim population in our country, along with the fact Eurovision attracts a high concentration of LGBTQ+ viewers (neither of which would vote Israel in a million years), and you realise that our televotes were not legit.
