Same thing happened with me. I was at my GATE coaching and was asking a friend for a doubt and then a boy sitting next to me starting pitching in helping us solve the question. He then started bragging that he is from DTU which is a very good college in Delhi meanwhile my friend who was from IIT delhi was smiling. He genuinely helped us solve the question. Right now he is a IES officer. My friend from IIT went to Japan after his btech. I am in IT and earning decent package.

Iitd dropout here, iits are overrated as fuck. Although qualifying jee is a feat for life, it’s just that.. it means you have perseverance, dedication and are at least smarter than the average student. Life tests you in ways you can’t just win through these few things. Being humble is another skill you must master. Same thing happened with me. I was at my GATE coaching and was asking a friend for a doubt and then a boy sitting next to me starting pitching in helping us solve the question. He then started bragging that he is from DTU which is a very good college in Delhi meanwhile my friend who was from IIT delhi was smiling. He genuinely helped us solve the question. Iitd dropout here, iits are overrated as fuck. Although qualifying jee is a feat for life, it’s just that.. it means you have perseverance, dedication and are at least smarter than the average student. Life tests you in ways you can’t just win through these few things. Being humble is another skill you must master. While this was really funny I hope as you guys grow up and mature you let go of these tendencies of bullying someone who’s of a lower perceived status than you.
