I will admit Matthew Tompkins did an expert job with voicing Yujiro. His voice has a natural Venom to it and very much like kind of a Shere Khan on steroids. I would have loved to hear him come back for season 3 but, Kirk Thornton I think given the arc takes place after the maximum tournament in which it seems like a lot of characters personalities have changed over the span of like a year does a really good job of portraying a character that knows he's the strongest but is a lot more comedic and boisterous.

Yujiro CAN be defeated by guns and an army, if the army is trained well enough. The implication is simply that Yujiro can overpower any number of people who are significantly weaker or less skilled than him, even if they have guns. The soldiers we saw Yujiro kill were just typical mooks, unskilled and trained only to shoot standard humans who also have guns. They were not able to react to Yujiro's movements. However when you look at the humans in the series who also possess superhuman strength/abilities, you begin to see the gap closing and that Yujiro actually has to TRY in order to beat them. Take Doppo for example, he was able to go 1 on 1 with Yujiro and even survive several blows from him. Yujiro had to go into his demon mode to beat Doppo. Just imagine if like 6 well-trained guys with guns went after Yujiro and caught him by surprise, he'd be toast. He cannot move faster than a bullet, he can only predict people's movements and dodge before the bullet actually fires. And If he is unaware of a threat, like with the sleeping dart snipers, he can be easily taken down. Remember, the entire reason he went up against enemies with guns is because he wanted a greater challenge, because he KNOWS bullets can kill him and thus he must rely on his skill at dodging and outsmarting the enemy. If the soldiers were unarmed, they'd literally be no threat to him. He could just tank all of their hits, they'd do nothing to him, which is boring. Remember Yujiro strives for conflict and challenge in addition to showing off his raw destructive power.

Figured I'd revisit after doing some research. On a traditional bow with upwards of 80lbs draw weight the arrow will leave the bow completely within 12 milliseconds and reach max velocity (274ft/s) in roughly 15-17 milliseconds. Yujiro covers the gap of five feet and stops the arrow before it can begin to move. He beat a time limit significantly less than 12 milliseconds.

So I just watched this for the first time recently. In the anime, he didn't say 200 pounds of force, he said 200 kilograms... which is about 440 pounds of draw weight. For comparison, strong practiced English longbowmen could manage about a quarter of that. But the real laugh here is not that Yujiro even had the reflexes to catch it; it's that he held the shaft so firmly that his grip kept the bow string remaining at or near that draw. What is happening here is far beyond the impossibility of the classic anime "blade block" that occurs when the character claps his hands on the sides of a sword. I love this show so much. Brief edit: I also just noticed that Kanamoto didn't even cover his forearm or lock his elbow to avoid the risk of degloving. That's some insane endurance topping his draw strength...
Oh yea, I wanted to say that display of the aura is real. I’ve seen it, the color may vary from the person’s inner energy and their intent. However, when you come up against a crazy strong fighter, you see and feel that immense aura. It is very real. I was shocked to find out they introduced this real life combat experience in the Anime. Most people are not spiritually/ aware, therefore they cannot see this aura. But rather, they will get a strange sensation/ feeling in the bottom of their gut. Telling them not to fight this person. The Predjuide of stupidity and Ego often overcome a man’s logic & common sense in a pivotal moment. Remember in the old Martial Arts movies, the underlings would always look at each other, pausing from the easiness they felt before attacking an extremely lethal fighter. Don’t be like them, cuz unlike the movies, your not guaranteed to walk away in a street fight.

From pulling 200lbs back on a bow is significantly outstanding. Being able to still hold that arrow back from the front, is by far an extreme feat of speed and strength. Yujiro is basically unkillable

for those of you who think he's slow, that's a 40 pound titanium arrow with a 200 pound draw. force times mass =acceleration so that's roughly 8,000 feet per second and he has to travel less than 10 feet to stop it before it reaches max velocity. this man is unreal

Somehow in my mind when I saw Yujiro hold that arrow in his hands and his friend said the arrow was "almost completely unbreakable," I thought that he would intentionally break that arrow with his hands just to prove it wasn't unbreakable considering Yujiro loved proving his strength so much.

Figured I'd revisit after doing some research. On a traditional bow with upwards of 80lbs draw weight the arrow will leave the bow completely within 12 milliseconds and reach max velocity (274ft/s) in roughly 15-17 milliseconds. Yujiro covers the gap of five feet and stops the arrow before it can begin to move. He beat a time limit significantly less than 12 milliseconds.
And that my friends is why having no internet lag is important.

So I just watched this for the first time recently. In the anime, he didn't say 200 pounds of force, he said 200 kilograms... which is about 440 pounds of draw weight. For comparison, strong practiced English longbowmen could manage about a quarter of that.
But the real laugh here is not that Yujiro even had the reflexes to catch it; it's that he held the shaft so firmly that his grip kept the bow string remaining at or near that draw. What is happening here is far beyond the impossibility of the classic anime "blade block" that occurs when the character claps his hands on the sides of a sword.
I love this show so much.
Brief edit: I also just noticed that Kanamoto didn't even cover his forearm or lock his elbow to avoid the risk of degloving. That's some insane endurance topping his draw strength...

Oh yea, I wanted to say that display of the aura is real. I’ve seen it, the color may vary from the person’s inner energy and their intent. However, when you come up against a crazy strong fighter, you see and feel that immense aura. It is very real. I was shocked to find out they introduced this real life combat experience in the Anime. Most people are not spiritually/ aware, therefore they cannot see this aura. But rather, they will get a strange sensation/ feeling in the bottom of their gut. Telling them not to fight this person. The Predjuide of stupidity and Ego often overcome a man’s logic & common sense in a pivotal moment. Remember in the old Martial Arts movies, the underlings would always look at each other, pausing from the easiness they felt before attacking an extremely lethal fighter. Don’t be like them, cuz unlike the movies, your not guaranteed to walk away in a street fight.
