I BOUGHT A BINDER OF VINTAGE POKEMON CARDS AT A GARAGE SALE

- I messaged someone on marketplace who advised she had two binders of Pokémon cards that she would be willing to sell. She told me they were her little sisters collection and she did not want them anymore. I bought each binder for $50 without knowing what was inside. There was a lot of fake cards inside the binder but I found TONS of real vintage. Not only did I make my money back from the cards, I found vintage holographic Charizards! Thanks for watching.

Imagine spending years collecting valuable Pokémon only for them to be sold at a garage sale for $50
IKR! I'm wondering what happened to the sister and whether she even knows it's being sold...😟I hope she's okay, because a woman who has a card collection like that must be pretty cool
I sold my entire base set collection at a local market shortly after I graduated high school for about $80 lol
@@bookermusic sorry bro :(
@@theburger_king Ah well. Shit happens haha
With all those gaps in between sheets, I’m sure she took/sold the valuable ones and kept the nostalgic/not too crazy priced ones.
To collect for that long, I don’t see that much stuff.
Wish I could find a steal like that, I keep getting “I know what I have” types of people😂
You gotta go deep into the country to find good deals like this lol...every American city Karen will overprice everything you find.
I’m shocked on these crazy good finds. Great video :)
I don’t think you could go wrong with paying $15 for a tote full of cards! Nice pick ups man!
Really???...still too expensive
@@MRMAGE3321 no its not
Dude even without the charizards it’s still worth we’ll over $200. I’m a collecter and I’m the 1st binder alone selling individually I would say he would still profit well.
@@jeffbennett2376 some of my friends are still saying is too expensive
A pack of current cards(30 cards) costs 15$
Love your vids bro keep em coming and keep up the awesome job❤️ straight love from Australia 🇦🇺
❤
Non holo Charizard from evolutions? There isn't a non holo Carizard in evolutions. With the base set artwork, theres only holo and a reverse holo. The only base set artwork non holo charizard is from legendary collection but those charizards dont have a legendary collection set symbol. If its a non holo charizard from evolutions, then those charizards are definitely fake
I noticed that too .
Your whole paragraph is ultimate geek. I love it 😅. I’m not into pokemen but I appreciate knowledge like that
Or they could be error card I seen charizard error cards like this before crazy money for error cards
They do exist. They were only in the evolutions theme deck.
Theme deck exclusive zard, they’re actually worth a bit since those are the non-holo variations that you can only get through those theme decks.
I can't imagine buying 2 Pokemon binders for $100 from some Karen that wouldn't be willing to send like 5 more pics lol. It sounds like it all worked out thought, so great job!!
The only base set artwork non holo charizard was in legendary collection and those dont have the set symbol, so those are fake but with the other few holos and base charizard you still come out on top!
Was looking for this comment. Also the non holo zard in the middle looked to be double stacked.
They did make a non holo charizard for evolutions. They were only in the theme deck.
@@bradscardsandcollectibles1596 no sir. There were only 2 theme decks for that set and neither have a Charizard in them. Bulbapedia will show you the deck list.
Could be errors
when he flipped to the pages with Charizard I almost shit myself with excitement that's my favorite Pokémon and my most favorite card to collect as a kid.
Coolest Facebook find I've seen in a while ! Cool video dude .
Dang bro congrats on the find i cant wait to get back to PA for flea markets and garage sales 🙌
I can't believe this doesn't have thousands of views! So good!
Congrats on the find! ive found a decent lot of good pokemon cards at a garage sale but pretty much all the good ones were damaged unfortunately. Hope to one day find cards as good as your find!
He hit the jackpot with the pokemon binders 😂
OMG THE FULL ART IS SO COOL 😮
9:20 "From the 90's". Beautiful, just what I like to hear 😂
Right she had to mention that to make it believe this was nit staged
It looks like they kept the best cards 😂 u can tell by how many cards are missing
If the good cards like holos are in good condition and you havent sold them yet you should get them PSA graded, like that Dark charizard as a 9 or 10 will sell for like $800 up to 3 or $4,000
It was not a 1st edition dark Zard so no it won’t.
@@timacker9528 exactly lol, not even worth grading really
@@timacker9528 and plus with psa it could come back as 6 and lot of waiting wasted
Idk how much benefit it'd be to grade most of those. Seems unlikely that most, if any, would get a great rating.
As a collector I would sell some of the ones I didn't want get a little profit off of them and keep the rest of the ones I want in my binder pretty much none of those are going to be 7s or 8s let alone 9s or 10s they still have some decent value raw and are most likely going to be binder cards with some play on the back
I don’t know if it’s where you from or the info you have.. but here in the UK these cards sell for a lot more on EBay. We’re talking x2 the amount you mentioned for the Charizards. Even the non holo’s.. they really go for a lot of money. Even base set cards that are common, they have the vintage ring to them. They’ll go for close to two dollars each.. maybe the market over here has more demand or something. Or you were just underestimating what you have.. nice find 👍
Just seeing some of the old gen 1 Pokémon or not brings so many memories.
Lol can't lie dope vid, could be even crazier if you told them about the cards and helped them figure out how much they are worth and what they would get for them, the wholesomeness of that video would probably explode, like cute puppy or kitty videos🤣
My cousin worked at a landfill for several years and eventually he worked the excavators and dozers, and when that happened he really had some great stories including finding 2 dead bodies in 4 years! He had to get approved in all these environmental training classes and they were ordered to clear a section and excavate after removing a section over 100 square yards to remove hazardous waste that is no longer legal to store in the manner it was, but before they reached that level they had to clear the top and he was prohibited from ever touching or removing anything from this section specifically but he took his chances a few times including a big ridk when he opened a large container used to dispose of fire damaged waste which included water damaged but there was a Kmart that caught fire and as it turned out there was boxes and boxes of booster packs of pokemon cards and they were pouring out of the container as well as sports, Yu-Gi-Oh, Digimon, magic etc. This must have been the storage area and they just shoveled their damaged inventory but this specific stuff had no fire damage just water damage and he and 2 other dudes stuffed their "field bags" which is supposed to keep food and water and radio etc and he managed to get a ton of booster packs which had so many goodies in great condition, some bent but no water damage inside even had that lovely smell! I remember they were the original ones but not 1st edition, but like the original 100 or whatever. His coworker grabbed magic cards which my cousin wasn't familiar with snd apparently he got so many genuinely valuable ones. Unfortunately the haul was crushed and buried for another unknown eternity that day, so everything they could grab was all they could get.
ok
You can go to jail for fucking with an insurance job.
OMG @14:25 he had the og Holo Nidoking . I wanted this card since I was in 5 grade but when I seen those base vileplume and Charizard I had to walk away from from work desk 😂😂😂😂
I remember a couple years ago when pokemon blew up again because of pokemon go i went to my moms house like hey you remember my old pokemon cards from when i was a kid? Ye.. She gave those away to some kid because she thought i "Grew up" and wouldn't need them anymore 😂😂 Man i litteraly had 1000s of oldschool cards
Sorry man but at least it went to a kid an not a adult to sell them and get money
Oh my god the sale prices for a log full of cards is absolutely insane at a yard sale
My mum did this when I left home at 17 to work on the mines! Whilst I was away she had a garage sale and sold all my original base set Pokémon cards including a folder of just holos! I also collected yugioh card and had the orginal ones even the limited cards from movies and they were all sold for less than $50! To this day we still talk about and I want to cry as that was my childhood
Would never talk to my mum again
so sorry man :(
Moms are stupid
You have no idea what you’re looking at all you’re looking for is holographic’s, but I seen a non-holographic $4000 card in the first binder
I was wondering if when you post the price if you could make it larger . I tried zooming in but it’s very blurry for some reason. Thx
So many people assume the Evolutions are the same as base set or Jungle/Fossil but they were reprints. This happens alot at garage sales or Facebook marketplace
The pokemon cards aren't listed on your ebay at all, did they sell in the 3 days since posting? I REALLY wanted to see condition
It’s amazing how ppl don’t seem to understand what they own. Btw What kind of camera are you using and how do you keep it concealed? Just curious.
I was about to comment how that was a sad loss until you flipped the page. Good purchase
Love the content like always ❤
Hey bro what is the site you are using to check the prices, I have a lot of old cards from before 2010, lugia, Rayquaza palkia and a bunch of holo 1st Ed, and all those oldest Pokémon, I also have yugihos, in pristin condition, the 3 egyptian gods with the folder and a bunch more I’m looking forward to sell them
What camera or setup do you film with? Is your camera noticeable?
Nice video bro. Good hit on that dark charizard it's nice 👌
Seeing thise cards brings back so many memories when I was collecting back in the 90s!
This is the best way to get vintage Pokémon cards for cheap or go look for garage sales that will sell anything without really knowing what they just sold
i love your videos man keep going 👍🏻
Bro the 2nd binders is a reliefs nice finds.
Yo that was clutch bro. Subbed
Thank you for the nostalgia. Man I had all the originals and sold them for 300 bucks including charizard! I regret it all the time 😅 maybe one day I can find something like this :) for now I’ve been collecting hot wheels and started my UA-cam channel. 😄
Mine got thrown away! Don’t feel too bad bud😅😂
I used to collect the original bakugan about a decade ago when they still existed in the market but one day in second grade I decided to give away half my collection to a kid in my class who had none. It was the right thing to do but I still miss them as I can't find them now and if I do the prices are really high. Also it's more likely that she has lost interest as we are older now and also she moved a couple months after that so I have no idea what she's doing now.
Yo do you put Pokémon cards on your eBay I didn’t see any but I was definitely interested in a few cards in the binder
Where do you message these people at prior to the garage sale about Pokemon cards and video games??
This just makes me think about my old Dad, "looking after" my box loads of old computers, consoles and boxed games.... A few years later, they were gone. He says "I don't know what you are talking about, did you have some stuff here?"
I still have those pokemon tazos, jenga cards etc that used to come free inside cheetos and uncle chips. I know i would think atleast twice before i sell them even for a reasonable amount. They contain my childhood.
There's a 1st edition Meowth from Jungle at 15:11 on the right page, top right. Did you see that? I have that card in 1st edition too.
For like $50 in exchange for all those weed products and games - - Plus two full binders of Pokemon cards that were holographic and as old as the 90s which are the most valuable cards. Because the older the cards the more value they have. I think it was a very good buy...
I think u made profit just from the charizards alone lmao! nice haul!
Dark charizard def the biggest hit in these depending on the condition. PSA 10 is around 2 grand
$100 dollar gamble paid, I bet he made around $500 on those cards nice find! You get a new subscriber.
"I'm literally outside of my car right now"
*sitting inside of car (20:22)
I am going to implement your strategy today! 👍👍👍
The Charizards paid for both plus some.. someone was collecting up till darkness ablaze which came out 2020 or 2021 nice find
How did you find posts that potentially will have pokemon card??
20:04 OLD BULBASOUR! That’s big bucks!
That’s base set 2 so it’s not as much but still decent!
Hey Kreeksy just asking how do you be finding these vintage Pokémon binders do you be asking the garage sales ?
Marketplace!
got to look before u buy. but nice when u flipped to the charizards!!
what kind of camera did you use
Brutal to watch. I’d be devastated
I was starting to get worried after that first binder was such a bust. I use to babysit alot of younger boys and somehow got talked into being a gym leader (basically 4 hr sessions at Toys R US that happened every Saturday morning where kids would come to trade and battle cards). After afew years I ended up collecting the first 3 sets (Base, Jungle and Fossil), plus I also got the 1st edition sets for Fossil and Jungle, as well as an incomplete Holo set of Jungle Error cards that went put without the Jungle Stamp, tons of promo cards, 1st edition Team Rocket, etc. 20+ years later I'm been wondering what they are worth now that Pokémon has gotten big again and how I'd go about selling them. As a set, 1 at a time. Do you have any suggestions? I'd like to first figure out what I have, their condition and their worth, and at some point possibly sell them. I just don't know how to find their worth and a place to sell them outside of Ebay. Thanks for the help
Sounds like you have a lot of work ahead of ya 😂
Have you sold any yet? I'm a collector myself. The best way to sell is online. If cards are really expensive, make sure they sign to let the package be delivered. That way, you avoid scammers/thieves.
Is the pikachu jungle card have a reverse back?
I miss days like this!
That was a huge leap of faith but you made your money back big time🔥🔥🔥
lmao dude is straight up finessing people leap of faith my axx
Fr he could have gave them a hundred at least Haha greedy bastards in this world
love those binders man
Awesome pick up!!!
That eevie with the silver hollow hearts is worth something I’m pretty sure
"so they were from the 90's" ..... PERRRRRFECT
Bro I been looking for pokemon collections at garage sales I knew it would be the best place to look.
This is why I tell my family and partner how much my cards are worth, so if I pass they hopefully keep them as a reminder of what I loved, or if they do sell they go for what they’re worth and not to a scumbag reseller
That charizard page just saved all your money spent.
How do I contact you to purchase certain cards you’ve shown
thats sick bro this is what I want to do one day
Congratulations on the find but I feel like when people go and buy vintage Pokémon cards from someone knowing what the value is and then give them 1/16 of that value is kind of a rip off but to each their own.
ofc, they always say they dont know what its worth but they are just ripping off the seller, oh well
I hear you and used to think that when buyers are super cheapskate...but the seller is the one getting rid of the item they should've looked up the worth or something
@@100_mph exactly
Lol they sold it, he turned around and they stood there, laughing maniacally thinking they pulled a fast one on him. Pan back to him, laughing maniacally, as he ACTUALLY robbed them. Hahaha jk, kind of... 😂😂
Looks like she took the good ones out on the second binder a few missing spaces
I saw quite a few base set shadowless cards in there even commons go for quite a bit
“I’m a collector in the area”
Do you have a card?
“No”
If you get the cards graded they're worth more than the prices you showed in the video. Especially the 1st edition cards
I could literally pay you for that dark Charzard I have been looking for it but those were really cheap for those especially good video!
Great luck on second binder gratz
No luck on the first 😢
The only thing is I feel bas as she sold them, but they were her sisters, so maybe the sister actually kept them for a reason.... I would be so mad.. But good for you for sure.
Imagine selling 90's pokemon cards that could potentially be worth thousands
YO! I NEED TO KNOW HOW YOU FIND THESE! Haha I need to get this lucky!
That kid crossed u up like he was pissed mom was giving u his Pokemon cards 😂😂
🤣🤣
“Zap-a-dos” 😂😂😂
Great collection! Have you seen mine vintage collection? 😂
My brain when the great dane came on screen: DA PUPPY, AWW LOOK AT DA PUPPY 😭
When I see open spots in the binder I figure it's been picked through
Man’s rocking the ridge wallet too, okay we see you
At a quick glance you made about a grand profit if you know your way around crystal commerce. Just the raw dark charizard if it could pull a 6-7-8 is still money back.
Looks to me that the empty slots on the pages might have been holos and they pulled them out.
I got scared for you lol good find
Thanks for the support brother ❤
That is nice ZAPIDOS!
I smiled when I saw the charizards ;)
There are some blank slots. Probably had the good cards there.
Hey mom, can I keep a few boxes at your place for storage?
Mom: Yeah I'm having a garage sale next weekend.
Flipping that page and then seeing Charizard's was a rush.
It's not real all of them
My parents, in their 80s now bout to have a sale, mom said hey are these your old garbage pail kids cards? Lol yes thanks mom your the best, I'd have never known if she sold them but she was nice enough to ask me about them 1st
I’m pretty speechless you got some cards even I haven’t found and I’ve spent around $350,000 on cards and I would actually be happy with even the charizard base set
I actually just went through my old cards and found a shadowless Charizard Holo (base set, not 1st edition) 😪
😂😂😂
how did u spend 350k and couldnt tell those chairzards are fake...
@@ianmccleery9246 shadowless is worth a good amount of money.. especially if in good condition to grade
I'll take things that didnt happen for a thousand jason
