There were two cards in the binder alone worth $350 the gengar alt art vmax and the trainer Rosa together are ~$380 that was a nice binder they had. Easy $1300 in the binder alone.

The silver dialga ex in the binder is worth 200$ if you offered 550$ for all the cards you could make easily 1000$

got bored, rough estimate of just the bigger hitters in that pokemon binder was over $1250. The stuff I didn't bother counting range from like $2-$10 each, and there were probably close to 100 of them.

I saw the cards in the bin and felt sick. He had them in rubber bands. Many of those cards in the bin are going to be bent or damaged. The binder on the other hand, wow, nice collection.

Kinda seem like those kids weren’t into just letting them go and the dad wanted to get rid of them , should’ve offered them some words from a fellow collector and gave them advise on seeking evaluation for that . Instead we try to just make our own personal profit off of people who have the same passion.

that gengar vmax alt alone is worth 350 in its ungraded raw form. I hope he didnt sale it lol. If graded the price climbs. I can see it being a 9 at best. Since he didnt store the cards properly. Had a base unlimited zard again condition wise thats 250+ going into 400 if it were pristine.

As a reseller and all the time and effort you would have to put into sell all those ultra rare Pokemon cards period. I think 350 was a decent offer. That Charizard on top wasn't from Evolutions it was from celebrations which is a much cheaper version, but there was one for trainer in that binder that was worth over $300 itself. That binder retail value was probably close to $1,200 I saw a handful of cards that were over $100 each also! But you definitely can't jump in if not feeling a hundred percent comfortable

I collect evolutions and other cards in the xy era. Those cards are probably only worth 250. And if you’re trying to resell them, you’d wanna offer maybe 150 tbh. They’re not really worth much unless they’re graded psa 10. There’s a huge difference in price between psa 9 and 10 on evolution cards. For example. A psa 9 charizard is only $70. Vs psa 10 is $1500 because of the low population
Just from a quick watch through I could see a gengar vmax alt, rosa full art, dialga ex secret. Some seriously costly cards in there. That binder wouldn't have been cheap

You realize that you don't get full value for bulk, right? the market is very saturated. Just because you have a figurative value doesn't actually mean you can move them, and even if you can..how long would that return on investment take? collections like this take a long time to go through, price out and list and even longer to wait for sales.
He said he didn't know 80% of what he was looking at. Which is usually how it goes. Just about every holo nowadays is some full art shiny ex card only worth a dollar or two and comes in abundance, which makes it very hard to spot singular ones that have the value.
This also assumes that every card is in mint condition, which they probably aren't. Light play or moderately play drastically drops the value.
Also, he clearly didn't know what he was looking at because if he did he'd of offered more to get the deal. As he said, he gave the price he was comfortable with without knowing how much he could make.
