Love this ladies sock videos. She makes it so simple and she doesn't go on and on about other stuff the way some people do. It gets boring when the videos are too long.
@MsHope9 "Rnds" means "rounds", and yes...in a way it is the same as a row. "Rows" is the word we use when you're knitting back and forth on a flat piece of work, and "rounds" is the word we use when you're knitting in a tube. Hope that helps! :)
@akeidyy7 SSK stands for "slip, slip, knit". It's a one stitch, left-leaning decrease. If you search on my channel page for "SSK", you can find my video demonstrating it.
I love your videos. Everything is so clear. I've been so intimidated by DPNs and socks. I would pass up pretty patterns that called for DPNs. Not anymore!! Thank you so much!
Alison - many of my patterns are available in eBook versions, but not this one. However, since it is in PDF form, it's still viewable on most mobile devices. There are lots of ways to do that - I like to view the PDF patterns I'm knitting in Google Docs, when I'm using my iPad or phone. Hope that helps!
@lsaver28 The way I knit is called "flicking". I have a video that demonstrates it a bit, but I can't post a link here in the comments. Just go to my channel page, and search for "flicker". You'll see a video called "I'm a flicker", which explains how I knit. :)
@motherprayed Good job on the socks! I do have videos out on short-row heels, but they used wrapped turns. Take a look at my Learn to Knit Toe-Up socks series, if you'd like to view these videos. (Sorry - UA-cam won't let me add a link here!)
socks have always been such a daunting thing for me, both with crochet and knitting, but i feel like my sock is coming out really well so gar and i have to thank you for being so helpful!! i am a little bit confused though and would love if you could clear this up for me, you said row one is the decrease row and then row two is regular knitting all around, does this pattern continue? is row three decrease, row four regular, row five decrease, row six regular, or is the regular row only after the first round?? i am horrible at reading patterns which is why I'm so grateful you have a video series to help us through the tricky parts
You're welcome! Even though this video is a few years old, the technique is the same...and I'm always here to answer questions and still releasing a new video every week!
Thank you, Gina. Yes, if you are already comfortable using magic loop, you can use it with this pattern. Otherwise, I have several sock tutorials that are written especially for magic loop, and teach magic loop. You can see all of my sock tutorials here: verypink.com/category/socks/
BEST, clearest directions on sock knitting, where written directions have had me in a knot. THANK YOU!! Like others have said, you saved my socks!!!

So glad I found this video. I struggled with knitting socks for years. Now all of a sudden it's easy. Thank you so much.
Who else has had their butt saved so MANY times by this woman?!?
This video saved my socks. You are such a great teacher

Your explanations of all the terms and the demonstrations are the best!! Thank you!

You say the foot length should be about 1 1/2 inches too short for you. Is that shorter than the top of the longest toe?
The entire length of the foot, including the longest toe.
@@verypinkknits Thank you.
