I remember sitting in my seat after it was over and just sitting with it it for a minute before I could move on and years later, I’m still trying to wrap my head around it.
Brilliant movie, I saw it years ago! Looking back I remember it as actually as a really good horror thriller. Especially the twist in the end. Frailty is one of these movies that stays with you a couple of days after you watched it. I forgot the name so thank you for reminding me. I will definitly watch it again.
Excellent horror movie, totally underrated, totally unsettling. Saw it first time at a midnight show, went home, couldn't sleep. One of the best horror movies of all time.
This movie feels like a homage to Night of the Hunter (one of the best films ever). Similar themes and Matthew Mc's disenbodied head floating a black void absolutely has to a reference to it. Wouldn't have watched it but for your fantastic video. Thanks for the recommendation
Horror movies are my thing. I’ve watched hundreds of spooky movies. Frailty is one that I watch over and over again. Watch it once for the story then just start viewings while paying attention to every character individually. It’s an amazing movie, definitely at the top of my list of my all time favorite movies of any genre!
I remember renting this and watching it with my brother when it came out. I was kind of too young to fully grasp the underlying theme. At the time I thought it was a bit boring but now I think it verges on being a masterpiece. Bill Paxton is great and the older kid is great too.
I'll let you in on a little secret. I low-key think they used this movie to some extent influenced the Supernatural Series. The dynamics from this movie and the brother and the dad juxtaposed to the first few seasons of Supernatural. Pretty reminiscent. Not identical or anything but, they at least share some similarities. Except the whole is or isn't it real aspect.
Something I liked a lot about Stir of Echoes was that it took place inside a very specific kind of North Eastern US style neighborhood that I can't say I've ever seen get a spotlight before. They're extremely unique and have a special vibe to them that this movie captures perfectly.
Thank you ❤❤❤ I've been talking about this movie for years and nobody has ever heard of it. It's one of the best movies I've ever seen. Everytime I thought i had it figured out i was wrong
I agree with you 100%. My brother recommended the movie years ago and it is still one of my All time favorites. In fact this video has inspired me to watch it today. Good job
It’s in my top 15 movies of all time. Every time I mention this movie, I get blank looks. It’s such a wild premise and the ending…whoooooo. Talk about a twist ending. It DOES create doubt until the very end. And then you’re like 🤯😮W H A TTTTTTTTT
I saw this movie years ago and I’ve always liked it. Clicked on the video already agreeing with you. This video has got me so hyped that I’m going out and getting the DVD tonight
The religious undertones, that's why it didn't do better. The ending was fantastic, but I'm guessing it made a lot of people uncomfortable. Love this movie, can't believe it isn't more popular. This subject is coming into fashion and I think we will see it come back with a huge following.
I purchased Frailty many years ago in the $5 bin at Walmart. A great purchase as this film was fantastic! All of the leads were top notch! Please give this one a try. You won’t regret it.
One of my favorite movies.I can not tell you how many times I thought about this movie while following the Vallow-Daybell investigation and murder trials.
Caught this on broadcast TV years ago. Didn't know anything about it. Excellent film, Won't say anything more because I really don't want to spoil it for first time viewers.
This was just the way I like a horror movie to be. Excellent performances, good plot, growing atmosphere. Wish he did more. Reminds me of "Night of the Hunter" One off on a fantastic movie by an actor that only made one. Kudos!
One of my favorite movies! Just watched it with my husband (who’d never seen it) and he loved it and he doesn’t even like horror or supernatural themed movies/shows/books.
SPOILER SERIOUSLY DO NOT READ if you haven't seen the movie First I agree 100% that this is one of the most underrated movies ever. I suspect that one possible reason it didn't get traction is the title, 'Frailty.' Not only is it a word that just loosely applies to what the story is about (I guess), but it's also not a very memorable word. I have literally struggled to remember it numerous times when I wanted to recommend it to someone, and mind you I LOVE it and have seen it at least 4 or 5 times. But funnily enough, the ending kind of irritated me the first time. - By the time it got to the end, I was PLENTY horrified enough by the idea of children being stuck with only one living parent, who seemed very loving and steady but then one day snapped and began putting them through the terror of his madness. And I found it extra scary (and believable) that the younger son could go along with it, first as sheer coping mechanism, and then as full-on 'folie a deux' insanity with his dad. So when it was revealed that the dad's vision and mission was REAL, I dunno, it just struck me as hokey, almost Christian propaganda-y. But it was so well-made overall that I was compelled to watch it again, I think less than a year later, and the ending grew on me.
I really really liked this film, yet every time I show it to someone they have the same lackluster reaction. I don't get it. There's something about it that makes a good chunk of people lose interest and I can't figure out what it is.
I'm sure you know Night of the Hunter. It's so re-watchable: Shelly Winters is ridiculously underrated. Also, I love a bit of Robert Mitchum. Sexiest odd looking fella ever
Alright your hella based for the video title alone. I always get annoyed when UA-camrs find something more obscure and get presumptous to feel cool or special. "xxx youve never seen/played." The "probably" makes such a big difference! Look and learn. Also great video
Wasn't really blown away by it but maybe I'll have another look after reading the comment section. For me it was a solid horror thriller but nothing too special. Maybe I missed something 🤷♂️
This is a great movie, but part of the reason this hasn’t been watched all that much is that this came out before Mathew’s what did they call it? His “McConaissance”?! 😂 Anyway, that’s a part of it. Plus none of the actors were known for horror at the time except for Matthew and his amazing Texas Chainsaw performance. 😂 Now I don’t wanna spoil anything for anyone either, so if you haven’t seen the film don’t read this even though it won’t like seal the deal. It’s just a question to the video maker. Does IMDB have the damn names wrong? (If you know what I’m getting at?)

It’s just a question to the video maker. Does IMDB have the damn names wrong? (If you know what I’m getting at?) And I really think you’re selling Matthew’s acting a bit much here. He’s good, but he’s always good. This certainly isn’t his magnum opus or anything however. But yes def watch the movie. It’s a good one, and I’m glad you enjoyed it as much as you did, but you’re gonna be in the minority thinking this is one of Matthew’s best films.
This movie is why I can never trust that Evil Creature Known as an Actor again. It is too extraordinary to be acting - more like re-creating. A depiction of pure, dedicated evil.
I think that the film lends credibility to religion, which irritates the hedonistic masses. That would be primarily why the film fell into obscurity. It's worth thinking about. Thanks
Seen the movie... its probably the most underrated horror films made. But I'm confused by this commentary.... who is the cast member that gives away the twist? Its pretty straight forward... 🤷🏽♂️
*Spoiler* (don't read unless you watched the movie first): You may remember that the guy who narrates the whole story, the adult _"Fenton"_ (McConaughey) is actually the younger brother Adam. On imdb and Google, McConaughey is listed as Adam Meiks, giving away the twist ending.
This is one of those movies that stays with you. The ending hit like one of those really good Twilight Zone episodes
I remember sitting in my seat after it was over and just sitting with it it for a minute before I could move on and years later, I’m still trying to wrap my head around it.
Frailty is one of my all time favorite films. INCREDIBLY done.
“I’ve got that joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart… - Adam
Where? I loved this Movie!
I’ve seen it. And the ending has stuck with me.
I didn't know Paxton directed this. This is one of my favorite horror movies.
Brilliant movie, I saw it years ago! Looking back I remember it as actually as a really good horror thriller. Especially the twist in the end. You inspired me to revisit this film and wow I forgot how good it was, it holds up to this day.
This was an underrated hit!!!
Great movie , it’s a movie you can’t stop watching
I've seen this movie many times. Very good movie. 😊❤
I love this movie and have it on dvd to watch when I want to.
One of my favorite movies, I watch it every so often 💯

oh, i totally agree. absolutely same vibe.
Stir of echoes is another good one
Something I liked a lot about Stir of Echoes was that it took place inside a very specific kind of North Eastern US style neighborhood that I can't say I've ever seen get a spotlight before. They're extremely unique and have a special vibe to them that this movie captures perfectly.
Agreed, it is an outstanding movie that happens to also be super natural, horror, and suspense rolled into one. Top notch!
I’ve been championing this movie since I first saw it in theaters way back. I do think it’s becoming a cult classic.
Why has this video not got more views ,,we sleeping on this channel
Agreed. One of my top 10 films of all time. An amazing film.
Just watched this movie last month and was blown away. It is now one of my favorite horror films.
Good job
This would be a great double feature with Michael Shannon's "Take Shelter." Same kind of vibe.
Love this movie! Every time I get in an elevator and see Otis spelled out on the door i picture the axe and think of the dearly departed Paxton
It’s in my top 15 movies of all time. Every time I mention this movie, I get blank looks. It’s such a wild premise and the ending…whoooooo. Talk about a twist ending. It DOES create doubt until the very end. And then you’re like 🤯😮W H A TTTTTTTTT
Frailty is one of my favorites. I saw it when it first came out, and immediately bought it on DVD afterwards. Great movie❤
I wanted to watch this when it came out but could not find a theater. It took me years to track it down and watch it after that. Well worth it.
It really was a fantastic movie. One of my all-time favorites. I agree that it's criminally underrated.
I saw this movie years ago and I’ve always liked it. Clicked on the video already agreeing with you. This video has got me so hyped that I’m going out and getting the DVD tonight

I agree! Super creepy, and it can be interpreted several ways. I re-watch it every now and then. It retains its horror.
Thank you for not giving it away and i will now watch this movie
One of my favorite movies.I can not tell you how many times I thought about this movie while following the Vallow-Daybell investigation and murder trials.
What real horror fan hasnt seen Frality?
Couldn't agree more, watched it yesterday 😊
Caught this on broadcast TV years ago. Didn't know anything about it. Excellent film, Won't say anything more because I really don't want to spoil it for first time viewers.
From the thumbnail..i thought frailty and clicked. one of my best... Nice to see it being ralked about 😊
Now I'm going to binge watch Bill Paxton movies. 2 of my favorites, Boxing Helena and Simple Plan.
This was just the way I like a horror movie to be. Excellent performances, good plot, growing atmosphere. Wish he did more. Reminds me of "Night of the Hunter" One off on a fantastic movie by an actor that only made one. Kudos!
I've seen this movie so many times and still can't figure out if the dad is crazy or based. It's that good.
One of my favorite movies! Just watched it with my husband (who’d never seen it) and he loved it and he doesn’t even like horror or supernatural themed movies/shows/books.
This has a twistastic ending, the likes of which M. Night Shyamalan WISHES he could come even close to!
This was a good movie. I remember seeing it in the theater and it's not a blockbuster, but a good movie. You never see it on streaming services.
Great film...I had to watch it twice to see what I missed by the time you saw the ending...
Its a very clever and interesting story, definitely had the DVD in my collection
Excellent film, saw it years ago and loved it.
This is a movie "The ending explained videos were made for "
I’ve been watching this and “the curve” back to back a lot lately.
2 very different tones, a little levity after the dread of “frailty”
Talk about underrated af
I watched this movie during my childhood-life. 😊
This was such amazing movie and with a great casts too. Plus this movie had such a shocking ending too 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Yes it is a very good movie. After your review I need to watch it again!

I just saw the movie, went in completely blind. It dragged on a bit, but I liked the ending.
Thanks

Today's movie releases can't touch this one.
😮
