@@davidlamb155pfffft. A PanAm? Come back when you’ve done it on a Road Glide. Just kidding. I do it on an R1250 and it does require some attention on a big bike.
Looks like a riot. I am glad to hear it doesn't share too many of the roads. I am probably going to ride the SM500 again soon. Maybe I will add this to the route. Enjoy your adventures - Jon
In my opinion it's a little bit better than the SM500 because it combines the best of the GA Traverse and the 500 plus some different roads to make a really fun route.
Good video! Old Bucktown is in my backyard. I'm gonna run the BDRX In a couple of weeks. I'm just hoping all this weather coming doesn't tear it up with down trees.
Did you ride it? I’m looking to hit it on an R1250 in a couple of days and wondering how much it suffered from erosion from all the rain. Wondering if the ruts have gotten crazy, especially for a fully loaded for camping bike.
I’ve never seen Old Bucktown road so dry. If I recall correctly, Duncan Ridge Rd on the SM500/1000 is quite similar. Got a few “are you sure” looks from the dial sport guys when going up to that one on a fully loaded GSA. You were so quick through it. Nice riding.
Ridden this one a good bit. Loved to do the run from Suches to lake conasauga campground for a good day ride. I noticed the alt hard section in the northern sections are on Popcorn creek. There are some serious trails back in there if I remember right. Good stuff man
I didn't get to ride popcorn because it was late in the day when I got there and I was way too tired. It's not that far of a ride from home so I'll go back and hit it soon. Thanks man. 👊
@@TheBeardedGrumpDrip Drop is a similar product. I drink a couple of glasses the night before a king ride, then put it in the pack. Three times the electrolytes of Gatorade and half the sugar.
So much fun. That day was probably the driest I've ever seen Old Bucktown. I'll have to make another trip out to actually finish the BDR-X soon. Instead of just running one section.
I love your videos you are always in such beautiful areas is that the popcorn trail or the Advanced section of the Chattahoochee Bdrx? By the way it's great to see you healthy again my friend. 🙏
Thanks! I didn't ride the popcorn trail because I got to it late in the day. I plan to go back up there and ride it at some point. Thanks. It feels good to be back to somewhat normal again.
In my opinion Old Bucktown Road is one if not the toughest sections of the Chattahoochee BDRX. Stay tuned for more BDRX videos coming soon
Good to know! I was worried it was just me!!
Rode it last week on the SM500 came out from Arkansas and did it just
Before the hurricane hit.
My Harley PanAm did great!!

Nice!
I’m heading that way soon!
Stay safe and thanks for sharing!

Awesome! I hope you have a good time.

Yup, just as I remember Old Bucktown Road!

I think I remember Duncan Ridge. I'm terrible with remembering Rd names lol. Thanks. It was definitely easier on the 990 than my V-strom lol
Bucktown downhill can give you some pucker moments, for sure.
Quick turnaround Greg, thanks! - Frank
Just a quick highlight of section 1. I still have a good bit of footage to edit
Old Bucktown is a blast. Going up is for sure easier.
It sure is. I think so too

I’ll be up there in a few weeks, hopefully the fall colors will be fire by then!
They have already started in some areas so I would think it will be very colorful by then
dang, thats some beautiful scenery! where is Timmy? lol i'm used to you both in your videos lol
It was pretty awesome. He had to sit this one out. He had some home projects he needed to attend to
I'm prone to cramps as well. Try Liquid IV in your Hydro pack. I used it while riding the mabdr, and it prevented the cramping! Great product.
Thanks for the info. I'll check it out 👊

Me too. It was a fun ride but I couldn't stay completely motivated because I had just ridden some a lot of 2 weeks ago
Sweet video!! I bet that area has a bunch of secret roads
Thanks Jake. Yeah I'm sure there's lots of good roads and camping around there
Sad no Timmy, super stoked for some southeast bdrx tho! Hammer the shit out of it! 🤘🏼
Nice! That was my favorite road of the SM500. I gotta check out that plane crash next time.
It's one of my favorites too.
Chattahoochie? That's Deliverance country....boy.
You can hear the banjos real loud up there

Great sounding bike, thanks for the quick turnaround! Would you be riding the route counter-clockwise in order to ride Bucktown Rd up hill?
Thanks. The route is designed to be ridden CCW so you would be going up Old Bucktown but I rode the route CW
