With free hosting service, you will be able to create 2 websites for free with subdomains. And, if you want to create more websites, simply try with a different email and you will have the opportunity to create two more.

I didnt try a subdomain like this before, but I got monetized with google ads with a blogger.com subdomain earlier. So I think it is possible, but not sure though. Please make some searches on google and I believe you will find some answers.
You can't connect the custom domain on the free plan, only on the paid plan which starts from $42/mo. And is very expensive considering other hosting providers are like $13 to $20 a month.
