- The plaintiff says his ex-girlfriend took his dog out without a leash. As a result, another dog attacked the plaintiff’s canine, and the plaintiff believes the defendant should be held responsible for the vet bills, so he’s suing. The defendant says she and the plaintiff broke up over this incident. She believes she doesn’t owe her ex because the other dog bit his pet, not her.

@@dacyberman0929 even if the defendant was found liable, it would still be a wash. As a matter of fact he would’ve owed her if she had counter sued because of the hacking and defamation he did to her. If you rewatch it, the judge explained this towards the end of the verdict.
@@marilynwillett804 she’s human and allowed to air her disgust at a situation. As long as in the end she rules based on law (objectively) then there’s no problem.
I stayed and cleaned up the food while she took the dog to the vet was all I needed to hear to know this guy is ridiculous

I felt the same. When my dog got sick I took her to the emergency vet and I'm allergic to the sun.

Dear comment section - This is a TV show, for entertainment purposes. This episode has ~every~thing to do with his abusive ignorance (and isn't really about a dog). He's using the dog to attack her in the courtroom! And this is a very typical example of what these males do when their victim escapes their torment.

I've seen it a lot on other episodes and court shows too. Or, not just to attack but also see them in the courtroom since they can't otherwise without violating the PPO.
And so do “ *these females* “. We’ve seen equal numbers of *FEMALE* psychos on this and other court shows, as we have male psychos.
I don't know what that first sentence is about. I will say, there are actual court cases - not arbitration, like People's Court - that are exactly this. They're on UA-cam right now. This was a real case that the People's Court was able to bring to arbitration in exchange for paying some unknown amount to both parties. So, this guy gets to show his face in public and explain his very real reason for being a psychopath. Not sure it was worth whatever he got paid to accept arbitration...
*people...not males. My mom did this with all 6 of her ex-husbands. Women can be just as abusive.
The sooner people realize that anger IS an emotion, the sooner people will get the help they need.

That man is a psycho. Who doesn’t bring their own dog to the vet after it’s been bit? Does he not care? She felt guilty because he made her feel that way and probably berated her for not stopping the dog from running away. Put YOUR dog on a leash next time!
Or maybe don't take out a dog that doesn't belong to you if you won't be watching after it. Based on the guys testimony and her not saying anything against it, it seems like she's done this before and even tho he's corrected by taking the dog inside in the past she'd just go and take the dog back out.

@@riggamorrischan did you miss the part where he literally testified that he has done just that in the past and for some reason she's had a problem with it and gone against what he's asked her to do. She never denied that part meaning that even if he had done something what's to say the outcome would have been different.

Defamation how. She did take his dog out without a leash and the dog got hurt because of it. We don't know what they were doing in the bedroom for what he said to be untrue. Their lame bad relationship had nothing to do with what she did or the case.

The verdict that was displayed on the screen at the end was definitely wrong. It stated the plaintiff won $2,100.00, that's more than he was suing for and he lost. She should have filed a counter suit, she definitely would've won. Glad she got out before it became physical abuse.

I don’t believe people were listening to JM when she said there’s a part of the law where you can basically amend a suit when what’s been done as a reaction/retaliation accounts for and outweighs what was initially done. Plaintiff is a narcissist with anger issues. The defendant could have counter-sued him but I am guessing she probably just wanted to be done with him completely and move on. She definitely dodged a bullet. As for the scumbag plaintiff, how can you profess to care about your dog so much but don't even take him to the vet yourself I have two cats and I can't stand to be away from them when I'm at work and they're just fine.

This was a crap decision by the judge. The ex is absolutely responsible for the dog when she’s the one that took the dog out and everyone told her to use a leash. Judge was in man hating mode today.

What a creep….putting my personal opinion to the side, I agree with the judgment. The plaintiff admitted that she had let the dog out against his wishes in the past, so why allow her to do it again? At the end of the day, he was the dog owner so responsibility falls on him especially when he saw something going on that he didn’t like or agree with and did nothing about at…but again what a creep, now he’s trying to do anything to make her miserable because misery needs company. Glad she left his a$$

I don't know why the Judge brought up all the other stuff when it's about the dog being allowed to run free off leash? I've seen 100's of these and she's always went off on the person who has allowed the pet to run free. Granted the Plaintiff is acting insane. Yes he should have went out there to get the dog. Sorry Judge Milan, you were way off base here. If nothing else share the expenses. But nope she sided with the one who allowed the pet to run free. Both were at fault. She should have paid something.
