"Stately without being pretentious"... That is a prefect description of the design, mate. And another beautifully made video.

Loving the series! I just got my brass duck on Friday in that my oil pressure problem on my 47 TC is now solved with a thorough degunking of the sump and a new pump. keep it up. love the inspiration this gives.

had to laugh at the casual comment from the wife about after participating in a rally they, "...almost get a divorce". sounds like my parents, the skirmish line that they had established between each other over the years was sorely tested when participating in any kind of competition. whether as a team or an individual. i guess when one or the other was obliged to take a back seat to the other, the line wasn't strong enough. IDK **shrug**

Hey now, the TC wasn't a slow car when it was new! Not Bugatti fast, but it could run rings around the average car of the day on a mountain road. You have to gauge the speed of a car by its peers and the era from whence it came. A 60's Ferarri will get pounced in a drag race by the average modern family car but you can still consider it fast. In the case of the MGA , they weren't any faster for their time than the TC (or TB) was in the 30's and 40's. The extra 250+cc engine capacity does help though. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

True enough!! But relative to each other, the MGA will DESTROY a TC
But I suppose relative to itself, a TC is “quick”
I’ll give it “quick” 😜 thanks for being my funkhana co pilot!!

@@limit55 I sense a new video where Daniel learns how fast a TC can be. ;) Or put the original 1500 and bias-plies back on your car, and let's go for a drive! A '58 MGA had 15 more HP than a TC and weighs 200 lbs more. I love my MGA, but destroy is a strong word. That said... great video. We almost had our names immortalized on a duck.

Looks like a great time. How did you win the duck last year without a running TC? I've done a few TSD rallies and they were great fun. I miss Calif. Iowa is just flat and boring except on the East and West sides along the rivers. Good luck on getting the duck back next year...rooting for you!

This is a great question. Last years competition was a clue style rally, points based off the number of questions you were able to answer correctly along a tour. All participants were on the same course at the same time behind the same “leader” so it was considered equal opportunity in participation 😁😂
      Get out to those rivers!
