I was in the Arizona open this past weekend and it was insane. So many amazing swimmers at one meet. Literally an entire team from California was wearing this suit and I was wondering what all the fuss was about it haha.
Just ordered the Speedo Pure Intent for $280 off of SpeedoUSA in the Phoenix Red colorway. This is the perfect suit for me! I don't think I like mizunos mostly likely because I feel like the suit is too tight, or the sizing is always completely off. I bought the intent mostly because of this video. Thanks Sonny!

Cheers mate. Honest is the only way to do this sort of stuff IMO. I would like to yes, there is new Funky Trunks suits being released this year as well. One of the girls I coach actually wears and loves this suit but she hasn't exactly got a much experience in this domain (only other suit is a too big LZR X). Anyhow I'm trying to get in contact and arrange a review in the future!
Dude I had the same issue with water coming into my butt with the speedo *lzr elite* (don’t know if that’s the one but it has elite in it and is second best to the lzr racer x). So now I’m going to try pinching the inside up as well in the back to restrict water from coming in couldn’t find any help on this and I accidentally stumbled across this tip in your video! Thank you so much!
I’m massively torn between this suit and the venzo, I’m a shorter guy so prefer a lower cut of tech suit so the GX sonic and Rival I don’t think will be for me despite the fact I love a snappy suit. I swim a 100 and 200 back and branch occasionally to a 2 IM and 100 Fly and would love to know your thoughts and what you recommend between the Intent and Venzo or any other suits that may suit me and my events?
The LZR elite is the only other suit that I have tried. I have only ever owned 3 tech suits in my swim career. I liked the X the most compared to the Elite because every time I wore it I PR’d in my events.
My lack of variety with suits is the reason why I enjoyed the X so much and I am upset that I have not been able to try Arena or some TYR suits. I am very interested in trying the TRY Vienzo
@@ethanstone9204 fair enough mate. Getting the PRs is the most important thing but there are deffo a lot better suits out there! Anything with internal taping and dual layering like Mizuno GX Sonic, Speedo Pure Intent and TYR Venzo (I'll be trying soon) are a big step forward!

I am a size 30 French ( arena ) and according to speedo sizings I am a 22. I got LZR pure intent 2.0, it came very small and I wasn’t able to pull it up past my waist , do you have any recommendations? ( I’m female )

There are 5 sizes below what I get in Speedo so there is a chance but the Mizuno suits that I currently think are the best go down really small. One of the lads I coach who is 12 and super skinny wears an XXS and they fit him like a glove and take him ages to get on! I reckon am XS in them would be 👌 check out the Mizuno GX Sonic III MR.
I still have to hand it to the Mizuno. More buoyancy and better compression. The Speedo would be a good fit if your not a fan of the upmost compression.
@Master Pole the Speedo? Id say its a more balanced comfortable compression. Not as downright crazy as say an Arena Carbon Pro or the Mizuno. But I prefer the latter all the way. But can see why maybe people don't.
That's the Adidas Adizero VXIII. I actually had one and found the cut unwearable and they had no other sizes in stock at the time so I sort of skipped that....

@@hwendt33 just been confirmed to get a Venzo when they next have stock so not sure when that'll be. I think you'll enjoy the Speedo but I personally am still sticking with Mizuno for my main events!
I was looking at a suit with a price range of 300-400 singapore dollars which is around £170-220 im currently looking to get an avictor or the speedo pure valor which would you recommend and which do you think is more durable?

I have an important question . I have got the LZR pure valor high waist jammer and when i raced entered water on the back. I also don’t know what is the point of put it because i putted it on the hips . Waiting for an answer.
Can anyone help me my carbon air and flex have a leaking issue at the back of my swim suit and puts on quite alot of drag on my turns i have the suit as fitted very tight but still water leaks in at the back
It's ok, but I never liked it as much as the Pro. If your set on Arena I prefer the Carbon Air nowadays. That being said it does great in compression but lacks any dual layer areas or internal taping (it's external tape/seams doesn't have a similar effect.
I got a pair of XVIII last year and the cut didn't work for me and then they didn't have any of a smaller size. I'll get in touch with Adidas though and see if I can make it happen. I'll ask Arena to send me some race caps next time they ship me stuff and do a review!
@@TheSwimsuitGuy spoiler, the arena 3D caps are amazing! I got the triple black bundle from Arena and I use the cap and goggles for all of my races now.
I wouldn't say kills or anything that extreme but they aren't as comfy as a training suit or course. I generally prefer higher waist suits and fold them down lower on my hips between races for comfort.
I got the XVIII and the fit was horrible for me and then they didn't have stick of other sizes so I sort of gave up on that one.... My mate used to race in XVI and then moved onto Mizuno and said it was a night and day difference.
I don't really like anything about the X. The Pure Intent is not an improvement, it's a new suits in every regard. New materiel, dual layering, internal taping.

I reckon Intent if you want snap, Venzo it you want compression. Both are great suits and you'll be happy with either choice!

The Lazer X is a very good suit and I highly recommend it!
I can't agree. I found it sub optimal compared the current best suits. Not much going for it tbh. What other suits have you tried?

Question? Does it really hurt your hips after I have a LZR X and it kills my hips after a race to wear when I walk it is very painful

Hi, what is your waist circumference? My son is 10 years old and his waist circumference is 26 1/2 inch, what size should he wear?
I would definitely go with the size 20. Any bigger and it would be too loose. Plus I don't think length would be an issue, as he is only 10.

I think the Valor may be more suitable but nothing stands out as to why this wouldn't work for 400IM
