❤ HI Jayda I found some yarn 🧶 similar to your yarn 🧶 in colour and I made and finished this shawl I used Caron cake yarn 🧶 😊its very comfy and warm just in time for fall thank you 🙏 for the pattern and video .
Thank you for this video Jayda. I made this shawl this past weekend and I really like it. I continued with this stitch all around as for border because it has the beautiful finish that gives the border look.
I am new to crochet. I purchased this pattern from your Etsy store. However, I'm glad I found this tutorial because I could not follow the written instructions. lol
Hi! Thank you for supporting our show💗 If you have any questions about the pattern (or the tutorial) don't hesitate to reach out at the shop, we're always happy to help 😊
It’s beautiful and the detail on it is really lovely!!! A project I can’t wait to try and yes I crocheted the kerchief so I’m looking forward to the tutorial!! Thank you!!
My wool choice was delivered yesterday, just waiting on the crochet hook, will probably arrive today - all thanks to you & your wonderful tutorial, a new crafty interest was born! 😍
This is perfect ❤! I'm gonna make a mother and daughter shawl set for my daughter and granddaughter ( who is learning to crochet❤). Thank you for yet another absolutely beautiful pattern❤❤❤
Miss Jayda, I do NOT need another project (I say as I PROMPTLY put this shawl on my hook RIGHT this second). I'm making like, SO many of these lol I'm making one for my MIL, my mommy, both my grannies AND my two fave aunties, too lol (don't tell them I have faves ;3 heehee)
Hi Jayda and Mr, I’m also grateful. I’ve been working with your gauge tutorial this week and it’s been very informative. Todays shawl is very nice and I learn so much from all your tutorials. Thank you.
I love your shawl designs! I have already knitted one and crocheted two, and two of the patterns were from you. This is an adorable pattern, cant wait to try it! :D
Jayda, Jayda, Jayda... I been wanting a new shawl pattern to make, thank you so much for all your work that you put into your craft! 🙂(and yes, it is w0rk... lol)
Hi! Don't think about it like it's an angle or anything, it's just normal back and forth work, but we grow a little on one end with each row 😊 By the 4th row, it's very easy to see where you are 💗
Love this version of C2C and have stopped making the traditional version of C2C this makes a much better wraps scarves etc as well as shawls.....the edges are so much cleaner especially rectangles though that might be human error lol ❤
Well Jayda, I finished the sparkly hooded scarf with Shawl in a Ball and it’s lovely! So I’ve got some cosy yarn and I’ve started this shawl now and gone wrong by walnut number 3. Something I’m just not getting clearly 😫. I shall start again. I know your patterns usually work up user friendly xx
Hi Wendy! Use stitch markers to mark the first few "pebbles" and make sure that little tail or point is always pointing down toward you when you start the next row. A few rows in and that triangle will be much more pronounced and easier to see 💗
I can't believe it, I actually forgot that it was Friday! In my defense, I remembered this morning. I got working on making a **GIANT** pom-pom for that Bernat hat that the girls were modeling for me. *giggles Also, you know you had me at C2C. *And* triangle shawl! I ran in my room to see what I wanted to use for this. I have all my materials right here beside me (I'm so excited I haven't actually finished the video yet lol). You also know that this is, in my mind, the Hot Chocolate C2C shawl, right? LOL Because of your scarf this will always be known as that.
Hi! Thank you for watching 😊 That is a wool needle, they come in sets of 3 and are usually available anywhere yarn, hooks and knitting needles are sold. Mine are by H A Kidd, we have a video on them here: ua-cam.com/video/0EWXaWWffxc/v-deo.html
He)o Jayda, where can i find the needle like you used to weave the yarn ends in? Excellet teaching how to make cosy looking shawl. Thankyou and be safe.
Jayda, I bought your pattern and hope to do this in DK weight (approximately 1,000 yds). It is a nice, basic pattern! I was wondering if it could be modified to make it wider and the back not as long ?...by adding more motifs on each side every row or every other row. I will make one with Bernal Pop #4 just as you have done. ......and then experiment with it for a wider shawl.
Hi Linda, C2Cs grow down at an equal rate that they grow out, for wider vs longer triangles, you would probably enjoy a different pattern that works back and forth and not so much the C2C...have you tried this one?: ua-cam.com/video/Wx_b-69swVA/v-deo.html
Such a beautiful shawl, I love how the stitch works up. May I ask you (or anyone in the know) what brand of yarn/colour name you used. It’s very pretty. Thank you Jayda 😊
Hi Kristy, I just tie in the new ball by knotting the ends together (nothing fancy). If you're trying to match colours through, for something like a self-striping yarn, then I will "fast forward" through the new ball (rolling as I go) until I get to the right spot and tie in the same colour to keep the correct stripe pattern going. We have a couple videos on both of these: Tying in yarn: ua-cam.com/video/FJi3QZCAgdw/v-deo.html Matching self-striping yarn: ua-cam.com/video/ni6v3S-CgT4/v-deo.html
Love this pattern , just a quick question tho, how many rows did you do to get the size you made? Thank you so much and your my go to tutorials when Im looking to make something new Thank you again ❤
Hi! This is a very easy shawl, and you can wear it like a scarf too! We have a massive list of shawls, scarves and cowls however, you can see them all here: ua-cam.com/play/PLU-tvdaf-FndEGqFxGh3DhP_Ge865t-ib.html
Hi! I'm learning how to crochet more than just scarves and I have you to thank! Thank you for the videos! I can never understand reading patterns. I had a question, I have size 1 yarn (I've never used it before), do you think that is ok to use for this project? I know people usually make socks with that size, but I wanted to show off the colors a bit.
Hi! You can certainly use a thin yarn, but you might want to use a smaller hook so that your stitches don't look loose. The pattern will work the same, but it will not "grow" as quickly and you'll have to add more rows to get to Shawl size 😊 Thank you for watching!
Hi Casey, I used self striping yarn for this project to avoid having to change colours. But you would just change the colour when you wanted to, typically at the end of a row. Finish a row with a colour, fasten off and then join the new colour with a slip stitch in the last st of the previous row and start the pattern for the new row 😊

Thank you for this video Jayda. I made this shawl this past weekend and I really like it. I continued with this stitch all around as for border because it has the beautiful finish that gives the border look.
That works really well too! I think it uses just a tiny bit less yarn as well 😁
Beautiful! The border reminds me of a lacy type border, so pretty.
And fairly easy and NOT a yarn eater, so win/win 😁

I bought some bright orange yarn and making some Halloween scarves ( reverse Babushka style ) for my cat and dog. Will send pictures.
😁
I finally finished my shawl. I had a hard time with the pico stitch. I've used it before, but I had to step away and try another day to finish.
That happens to me too Maria! Sometimes my brain gets it but my fingers are like, "nope!" 😂

It's pretty but I know they say C2C IS EASY BUT I CAN'T DO IT
Hi Barbara, don't think about it, just pick up the hook and yarn and start 💗 I think C2C is confusing at first because we feel like we have to work on a crazy angle or look at it sideways, but it's not like that at all. You're just working back and forth like any regular pattern, you're just growing a little out one end with each row 😊
Just keep trying. 👍👍😊😊. I made my C2C watching Pamela Adoring Crochet tutorial Ugly Scrape Throw.
I think you can do it. Don’t give up. Keep trying, please. ❤
Never say can't. I'm making one the colors of sand, with copper colored thread throughout. The fringe will have thin sea shells attached.
It’s just weird at first. It’s hard to see where the strange shape is going. Hang in there and keep going, and after 3-4 rows you’ll start to see it.
If I wanted to make this into a blanket, how would I do the decrease?
Thank you for the suggestion Ren, I'll have to give that some thought 😁
Oh I made 3 of these about 6 months ago, not as pretty as yours 😂
Hi Lorraine! Sometimes it all comes down to the yarn 😂
