Having a person like Austin is key for time saving and stress reduction. Someone who knows the gear, how to set it up and anticipate problems is so valuable.

Since it was the studio’s gear, it saved a lot of time having someone familiar with it.

The more lights you put up, the more you can shape the image to be exactly what you want. Great job!

Mad respect to you and the team for bringing all of this together. I am amazed at how little output of some lights adds to the character of the shoot when combined. I’m a lighting novice, but enjoy your videos so much. Thanks.

Thanks so much, it is always great teaming up with talented crew. This is the real lesson, just because you have the output, it does not mean it needs to be used at 100%.

I think it looks good overall. I think if I was DPing, I would have shot into the L of the room to give more depth. And I doubt this was possible but the back wall was almost the same color as the little girls skin… would have been nice to separate that. Maybe having the background with a different ratio would have worked or adding blinds slash.
But over all a good setup.
    Love seeing this content!

Love the vid. The past two sets I’ve gaffed on, I’ve had problems with the Sidus app disconnecting to the fixtures. So annoying b/c on the app, it lets me adjust sliders but nothing happens on the light. I’ve recently invested in some Nanlite gear, and think that for price to performance, it’s better than aputure.

idk, looks a bit to washed out to me, too flat, too much levels, no shape on the face, hoped for neg from camera right side, or stronger BG seperation, looks a lot flat to my taste but eyy that's just me.
