- I present to you my 20022 Crochet Along - the WHOOPA CAL has now officially started! The full pattern is now available on Ravelry and on my website and here is the fourth tutorial out of 10 daily video tutorials I'll be doing during the CAL - where I show you start to finish how to make the cardigan. Today I show you how we make the right side front and back piece.
In this year's Crochet Along we will crochet my big cozy Whoopa cardigan together, and don't you worry, I'll be with you every step of the way! it's a 10 day CAL and I'll be doing daily video tutorials, where I break this fun and easy cardigan down into 10 parts and I'll crochet the cardigan along with you from start to finish! ... no need to do it in 10 days, but that is non the less a very manageable speed, I usually make mine in less than a week!
Now I know many of you shy away from making wearables, but then this here is definitely the place to start! It's all made in one piece and it's done in bulky yarn and on a 7 mm hook, so it works up crazy quick!
ok, are you you ready! who's with me!!!!? I for one am super psyched to get started!!!
pattern available on Ravelry

Even though I love the patterns etc. I'm here for Tinna's fun energy. Much love Tina! Thanks for sharing your awesomeness with us.
Thank you 🥰
You may not be saving lives, Tinna, but you are saving my sanity. I'm sure others out there would agree. Love your spirit, love your laugh, love your enthusiasm.
😅❤️❤️❤️🥰🙏🏽😘
I was going to write exactly the same thing! Crochet (thanks to TInna) keeps me sane in this mad world
I just wanted to correct you on something Tinna... You ARE saving lives!!! Crochet has saved my life by helping me cope with and get through addiction. So while you might think you're just showing us how to work your pattern, it's much more than that to some of us. ❤️ I sincerely thank you for giving me something to look forward to, for making me laugh and have other people look at me like I've lost my mind, and for being you, among many other things! 🙏❤️
Now, onward and upward!
Thank you so much love ❤️ happy to hear keeping your hands (and hence your mind) busy helps while battling life ❤️‼️😘😘😘
Just finished part 3 and I'm on to part 4 and those "dirty back bumps" - you crack me up Tinna 🤣 Whoopa!
Back-bumps! Lol... having a good laugh while crochetting Tinna 🤣
🙈😉🤣🤣😘
Got the pattern yesterday! Thank you so much for your generous discount - so sweet! I'm working furiously to finish the Christmas gifts I'm making. As soon as I'm done, I will be making TWO of this beauty. My baby sister loves it as much as I do! For now, I'm watching each of the tutorials for this CAL - you take such joy in EVERYTHING and that brightens my day! Thank you for sharing your creativity and your zest for life with us!🥰
❤️🥰🙏🏽😘
I, too, am watching but not yet hooking. I'll be saving the playlist to follow along with once I start, even though I have also bought the pattern.
I am loving how this is coming along, such a gorgeous project! I cannot wait until we get done, keeping up with you each day and have plans to make one for my husband when I’m done with this one. Thank you for all your hard work Tinna. 💕
Yay!! 😊
Brilliant as always!! Thank you so much for always making things so clear...and the jokes help too 🤣🤣🤣💞💞
Haha 😉😂🤣😘
I have not even finished this one - and I promised to make 3 more as Christmas presents (one for husband, and two for his parents). Give me patience!!
I'm such a fan of the intro music. Gives me Breaking Bad vibes but in a crochet addiction sort of way.
I switched the addition of a chain from a new ball of yarn to the foundation half double crochet. 2 reasons - always forget to chain loosely + hate breaking into a new ball of yarn even for a short piece. Can't for the life of me remember where I picked up that trick from. Even better ... one doesn't have to deal with those dirty little back bumps ... lol.
back to the cardigan !
Can you explain what you mean, when you say that you “switched the addition of a chain […] to the foundation half double crochet?” (I am always looking out to learn special techniques!)
@@u.synlig foundation hdc combines the chain row with the hdc. You crochet both at the same time. There are lots of UA-cam videos/tutorials on how to crochet it. Hope that helps.
@@valeriehowden471 Sounds clever! I’ll look it up. Thanks!
UPDATE: It’s grand! You’ve given me a ‘new’ stitch combination, and shortened my path to completion! Ta!
@@u.synlig glad it worked out for you.
You get a Whoop Whoop :-) You ask for a Whoop, Whoop :-P
Oh boy I’m very late! But I buy the pattern today . Thank you Tina
No stress! ❤️😉😘
Tinna I love how you count in Icelandic, I always have to count in Spanish when counting fast😊
I love the sound of Tinna counting too, but it's also because a few of the numbers sound like what little German I remember from my childhood! One more reason to watch each of her tutorials! 😃
Loving my cardi already, now starting on part 4, getting back in schedule after ripping a part because I forgot 8 rows of back and front. WHOOPA 😂😂 cant wait to cuddle up and I match gauge exactly 🎉🎉
Yay!! Well done ‼️🙌🏽❤️
You were a bit later coming on and I was panicking 🤪😘
😂😂😉❤️ it was still at 9 am on day 4 here in Iceland when I uploaded! 😉😘
I started 2 days late but catched up now and just ordered 12 balls of Álafosslopi for the next one.
@Starfire Horizon i have Drops Nepal for the first, i had 20 balls in stash. I got perfect gauge with it. Since i have a day off today i have time and working on the second sleeve now.
Niiice! ❤️
I’ve had mine for over a year and it’s withholding!!! ❤️
@@johanna1153 Thanks For Answering Johanna 💜 It's Still Starfire Here.
@@TinnaThorudottirThorvaldar Oh, Very Good To Hear. I Had A Slightly Bulkier Lopi Style That I Wanted To Use For My Mum. She's A Cozy Sweater Lover As Well. Cheers Tinna. 💙 Thanks For Your Inspiration!
Jhoehoeeee💃
❤️😅‼️
Whoop whoop
😅😘
Did you re-marry? It’s been awhile since I’ve seen your videos. Love the look of this sweater and bought the pattern! ❤
🤣🤣🤣 no no, no re-marrying, just asked a friend to model this time!!! 😂😂😂😘
@@TinnaThorudottirThorvaldar LOL. You said you made one for your husband, and I knew he didn’t look like that! Sorry for being nosy. ☺️
Would this cardigan be difficult for a lefty? I've watched all the tutorials and it seems I might be confused on some of it
Don’t think so. Just go right when I say left and viceversa … which is the general rule in life for lefties no? 😉😅❤️
Hi Cindy, I'm a leftie and like Tinna said, we attach yarn ect to the opposite side that Tinna mentions
@@TinnaThorudottirThorvaldar that's what I thought...but it looks confusing to me! I will try and power throgh!!!
@@the_wee_crafter7035 thx!!! I've tried to change to a rightie...but I just can't do it!!
I’m a leftie and I it’s easy to knit to the other side. Very easy pattern to follow. Listen to the video once, draw the part and add arrows showing the way, then listen again and knit along looking at your drawing
😍❤️🥰😘🧶👍👏👏👏
Where is part 1?
Sorry I'm stalking you🥰🥰🥰🥰
Haha stalk away! 😅❤️
57+58 = 115 ?
if you're doing the large short it should be 116 st (58 + 58)
The 2 chains count as a stitch.
Those dirty little back bumps. 🤦♀️😆
🙈🤣
In the video you said chain up 59 and instructions say 57. Now you have proven you are human!!
🤣
This would make a beautiful gift for a special person..
after you make one for yourself of course!
Well done 🇨🇦❤️🍁🔥🧶
