For family and friends, the amt spend in ringgit will count towards the $800 also? Eg i spend 500 in sg and 312 in msia. Will it make it 800 in total and hence qualify for e rebates?
@@Sethisfy unlike debit cards u spend on credit for credit cards now and pay later. on top of that you also earn rebates so trust card is certainly one of the best if not the best one currently. u dun agree?
No it doesn’t because you can get true 8% cashback on Maybank Family and Friends provided you meet the minimum spend in eligible categories. For UOB EVOL, even if you used it optimally for Paywave/online transactions and foreign currency spend, the max effective cashback yield is 6.25% due to sub-limits of the card
@@Sethisfy if we are already using EVOL for everyday use, and happen to use FCY for bonus spend, that FCY will yield 10%. The ‘normal’ spend yield shouldn’t matter because the choice was already made to use EVOL as part of the routine of cards for a variety of other reasons such as maxing out other cards
Well that’s correct from a UOB EVOL user’s perspective, but it’s kinda like a Trust card user saying Trust Link earns 21% on FairPrice spending and hence beats every other grocery card 😅
@@Sethisfy I understand but the topic is best card to use overseas and if users can meet the requirements, like they do for Maybank FnF, and they are also user of EVOL and also met the requirements, one will choose EVOL or FnF if given a choice…however, there’re hardly users of Trust without already using the grocery category. FCY is akin to bonus spend and so marginal in user’s monthly spending. 😂

You will get Amaze’s roughly 2%+ mark-up with Mari Card’s 1.7% cashback. So probably gonna be quite lousy.
