La Cinquantaine means fifty years. This little piece is also telling a sweet story. It goes like this: In the morning of a couple's golden wedding anniversary, relatives and friends are coming to their house with cheerful steps and blessings. Then the celebration begins at the transition of the tune. People are dancing, talking and enjoying the food all along.... After the party guests are leaving with cheerful steps again. Listeners can tell which is what with only a little imagination.
I am practicing this song as well. Thank you for showing me a great example of the techniques you had shown and your passion of the song. Thank you so much!!
Love this; My 7 yr old son plays violin and he pushes me out of the room so he can watch this video in silence. He's very passionate about violin! Thank you for posting this.
I understand his passion for this composition. It's so moving. I could listen to it a thousand times and never tire of it. I want so much to play it half as well as Ms Singhal. It incorporates so many nuances new to me. I may run out of time though......2 1/2 years down, Possibly 10-15 yrs to go to get that 50%. Can I make it? Your son has 70 yrs head start on me. Kudos to your son. Hope to see his videos in the coming years. Ray
This piece was regularly played on the radio 50 or 50 years ago by light orchestras when there was plenty of live music on the radio. You don't often hear this tune nowadays, which is a pity as it is a super piece - and beautifully played here!
Lol so how’s quarantine treating y’all. I have to play Bach E major partita 1006 for all county tryouts. I wish my county would make it easier like urs
JGMasterMoon -Music, brawhalla, lol I’m a senior in highschool now and I quit violin like 2 years ago. I completely forgot I even commented on this video, hope you do well at all county!
Your fingers freaked me out when you were doing the trills as all your fingers moved at the same place! (they stay as a line!) Aaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh!
This sounds really stupid, but what’s that thing she does with her hand when she slides it upwards really quickly? It’s really lovely :) Around bar 5 is when she first does it, if anyone knows x (I also love her coat)
I played this piece while I was a high school student. The hardest part for me was the trills -- I'm really impressed with Ms. Singhal's mastery of trills!!!

USwhitebox VR can be a different story though my teacher tells something about an old man reflecting oof
Different story for each person... These stories bring about the musicality in us
Can some knowledgeable person please explain to me why this piece and Kreisler’s liebesleid are so similar to each other?

i’m 5 years late but good luck?
The beggining looks like a lot Liebesleid from Fritz Kreisler!
Well done 👌😊
Is the all-arm vibrato tensing your arm and injuring your left wrist?
Excellent harmonics!
Great playing. I found this lesson in mel bay guitar method 4. Thank you
Very nice!! I can’t play it, sadly...
Your fingers freaked me out when you were doing the trills as all your fingers moved at the same place! (they stay as a line!)

Lovely!!!!!
This sounds really stupid, but what’s that thing she does with her hand when she slides it upwards really quickly? It’s really lovely :) Around bar 5 is when she first does it, if anyone knows x (I also love her coat)
She started from F using 3rd finger in 3rd position, then used the same finger to slide/reach A, still on the same string
I think it's called harmonics but I'm not sure if we're talking about the same thing
good music!
1:42 did you skip the first ending, or am I looking at a different version?
I’m a violinist but I found this song through piano and I’m going to play it on violin now
