And, while they might get patched out eventually, there are still plenty of fun ways to crash your Mario Maker in the game! So today, let's use the black hole glitch, upside down galoombas, spiketop rocket ships and more to break down Mario Maker 2. The cape glitch you called the “Ceiling Fan” is actually called “Sticky Flying,” and has been a thing at least in SMW romhacks for a long time. I think it was also a thing in SMM1; glad to see it’s still possible in SMM2.

You can't normally place an object at the front level.
With Luigi’s help in story mode, it’s possible.
I tried doing the same thing hoping my game will crash but nothing happened.

With a slight bit more texture to make it more fun, maybe that could change underwater night, because ghost house night and underwater night are the only two that have the same effect, and it’s much more annoying in underwater.

I just wish Nintendo won’t delete my glitched levels even when they are offline tbh
I think it's because it is a glitch that can actually interfere with the data and mess up how it works as a whole

Ryaquaza 1 the game just breaks and it says nope. Nintendo just coded an auto deleter to delete a level (offline or online) if something is extremely wrong.

It's a real shame some glitches seem to no longer work. I doubt it may be region differences, but I can't seem to get any with the door and power up (which resets the theme) or the spike block one.
I tried 2 of them and they did not work :(

Fun fact: doing chain of scenery beat the level while in castle after doing the glitch will cause the "bridge" to change into the beta bridge since theres no bridge, another fun fact each glitched bridges will probably have there own styles

The celling fan trick works also by putting one of those things that you can go through but then can't go back and then face them down, next fly with the cape and presicley pull up, then you can do it on any surface.

It's called a one way
When you do the change of scenery glitch in a vertical level, then it also reverts the type of level, meaning the game thinks you're in a horizontal level. When you go too high up, you go into a void area, and when you are up there, the game forgets to erase previous frames.
I'd say it doesn't forget,it just doesn't have a background so it doesn't clear to actually get a "background"
That's interesting, but I'm just wondering if the glitch is patched. Only reason why is because I have tried some of the glitches in the game, and it never worked.

I think the reason why that thing happens in the style reset is because it resets to the horizontal ground style, which the game doesn’t have any rendering for past the regular space.
If only I could make myself finish any of my levels...

the "lights out" glitch kinda looks like a shadow level from 3D world except the black and white is swapped
I just played a stage with most of these and now I know what to do
