His reaction times are faster than the speed of thought, he can manipulate space/time and make wormholes thru his electromagnetic fields, he can manipulate sun rays. I like pretty much anytime Magento has a monologue-off with Xavier. They're almost always really well written speeches and the dueling philosophies always made them both more interesting.
The breakworld bullet at 3:15 was even more impressive than Rob described. Yes, it is a million ton chunk of metal but it was traveling somewhere between 0.5 and 0.75 times the speed of light when it passed through the earth. Presumably it was still traveling at the rate or faster for the decade before Magneto retrieved it. He brought it back to earth in 6 months.
So he was capable of stopping an object moving at relativistic speeds, reversing its course, and then accelerating it to superluminal velocity from light years away.

First of all, it is definitely Mag-nee-toe. Second of all, nothing beats his actions in Fatal Attraction. I feel like that is pure to form Magneto. Lastly, Magneto is hands down the coolest villain the X-Men have ever had.

One of my Magneto favorites is when he defeated Proteus by manipulating his electons.
Not to mention proteus was beating the BRAKES off everybody else...
I think marvel should write more comics showing how powerful and smart magneto is..instead of him de powered thus getting defeated by people who should by know means beat him.
Alot of powerful characters are constantly being introduced that are In my opinion overpowered. Mortal beings that's more powerful than beings like galactus is ridiculous. But i think even though more powerful characters are being introduced it's good to see the original powerhouses still be able to come on top like magneto defeating Proteus.
@@lj342 I have to agree my friend. I can understand being powerful but somebody like franklin richards shouldn't be on galactus level. I don't mind reality warping but it should be levels to it. Franklin created a damn pocket universe as a kid. WTF.. Lol. Now if a human is given powers like norrin radd who became the silver surfer, I'm cool with that. But other than that, they should pull back

Favorite magneto moment: when he shut off earth's electromagnetic fields. I always wonder how many people died as a result, directly or indirectly.
My favorite Magneto moment was actually two movie scenes.
"There it is. Too much Iron in your blood. Mr. Laurio, never trust a beautiful woman. Especially one that's interested in you!" And in X-Men First Class when he was in the bar in Argentina. "I'm Frankenstein's Monster, and I'm looking for my creator."

He didnt need to add iron to his blood. Magneto, unchained, can manipulate atoms. If he was motivated enough to escape he could have. The mystique iron in the blood thing... Yeah I dunno. Maybe the fox movies version back then is magneto-lite.

For me, it's a tie between when Magneto beat Red Skull to death after the removal of Xavier's brain so Red Skull could gain telepathy, and when Magneto killed all the people that beat him and burned his daughter alive in front of him.
Say what you will about him, but I feel those are two really good examples of Magneto as a character.
Fave moment: when Magneto gets beaten by a wooden gun

Favorite moment: During Age of Apocalypse, when he held his son Charles gently in his arms knowing that when the world (reality) gets shifted back to the original one he would cease to exist.

My favorite Magneto moment is his speech at the end of House of X #1, were in the last page he turns to the humans governors, and says: "You have new gods now."

One of my new favorite magneto moments “Don’t make me let you down”.
I think my favorite moment with magneto is when he killed red skull which was really awesome and badass heck his final days story when he tried to stop the incursion was really badass but also really sad because he failed but damn it he died a hero.
Because of the movies I originally thought he was ferrokinetic (could only control metal) but in reality he can control everything. Since everything has an electromagnetic field. This guy is insanely powerful. I mean damn.
The future is us, Charles...They no longer matter.

I always loved when Magneto is on asteroid M and those guys dressed in plastic gear try to thwart him and hold one of his guys hostage and Magneto explains that all because their suits are plastic doesn't make them completely immune to his influence and as Magneto explains this the arm of the guy who's holding Magneto's ally starts to turn on himself and shoots himself...so cool

He also completely destroys Cable in the Fatal Attractions storyline. This is also my favorite Magneto storyline.

I liked him in the animated series of the 90s. The moments when he does things like protect Xavier while he flies the Blackbird directly into Master Mold and after him and Charles come to an understanding. This to me is Magneto at his best because it makes him so relatable. Those moments in the series because while you might not agree with his solution you 100% can understand why he feels that way.
Favorite moment: When Magneto says: "welcome to die!"
Can Magneto control Silver Surfer? That feral version of Wolverine was awesome. I didn't know that was because of Magneto. Pretty sure I have that comic
Silver surfer isn't made of silver, which isn't very magnetic anyway. He's coated (or made of depending on the writer) with a substance to help him withstand space travel and whatever he would run into. Magneto could probably magnetize him but idk
Silver Surfer has the power cosmic which allows him to alter matter and energy itself that type of power is beyond Magneto
Not sure about my favorite moment, but I think my favorite line is "Ah Wolverine, how many times have we danced this dance? And you still have not learned the steps." UXM #113 or somewhere along there, when he leaves the Xmen to die inside his base in Antartica.

Favorite Moment: The last page of Age of Apocalypse, where he's thanking Charles for all that he did for him, holding his family into the end of all things, wih the X-Men logo making up the break up in scenes for the page.
My favorite Magneto moment was when he teamed up with Dr. Doom and the sentinel to finally beat that damn kid who kept beating everyone in marvel vs capcom.

X-Men 200 is when he stood up for his friend Charles Xavier and chose to lead The X-Men. It was a great example of honor and respect between 2 friends who believe differently but the friendship still endures.

A good friend of mine has been hardcore comic book fan since we were kids. Me in the other hand, I never was. Just enjoyed movies about marvel universe. This friend and I would argue all the time lol. Him being so into the back stories and lore of things. Me just wanting him to agree certain movies or actors are good.. well recently I just started getting into actually reading comics, and I now see where my buddy is coming from. Also, these videos are amazing! You give me all sorts of background info that drags me in deeper everytime :) thank you sir!

Worthiness has been a nebulous quality over the years. Currently it seems that you have to believe without doubt in the righteousness of your efforts, right or wrong. To wit Magneto, Punisher, And the more fanatical characters should qualify though they should never have a chance to try. .
Somehow not Doom though I feel since he’s always sabotaging himself.
He has been depicted as carrying it and throwing it dont know if he can ise its lightning though.
I want Bryan Cranston to play Magneto with Giancarlo Esposito as Charles Xavier in the MCU because I genuinely feel this casting choice would nail both characters and we’ve seen how both actors have done extremely well in Breaking Bad as Walter and Gus
I LOVE Magneto he’s my 3rd Favorite Mutant. Though some of his big feats he actually needed assistance.
My FAVORITE Magneto moment is when he went to the City of New York and DESTROYED IT. :-) And my second is when he lead the X-Men when he Pro.X left the team.

Mags ripping the Adamantium was amazing. I was tired of Wolverine fighting these people who could destroy him if they cut loose. Wolverine rushed Mags in X-men #2 and he took it easy. Mags doesn’t want to hurt mutants but will .

My fav is when he opens a damn wormhole to save Wanda right before the House of M. I forget which issue it is, but I wish I had it. Everyone freaks the hell out and it is awesome.

Most Iconic moment of Magneto : In house of M when he finds out what quicksilver has done in his name and kills his own son in his righteous rage. That is Magneto to the core.
Not a single moment, but a series of moments: when he became headmaster in the UXM 200s (and in New Mutants as well)
Honestly, I've not read many Marvel comics, so I don't know any great moments in the comics, but no matter what you have to say about the films, they do a FANTASTIC job at portraying Eric. His plan to protect mutants by making the leaders of humanity into mutants, turning humanity's weapons against mutants against them (and the fact that the weapons even EXIST prove his point,) moving the Golden Gate Bridge, the touching moment between him and Charles before he turns the dish, his well-earned rage against Charles for not doing anything to protect their students from Trask, the fact that he had built a quiet life for himself only for it to be destroyed because he SAVED A COWORKERS LIFE, then the utter destruction of Auschwitz.
My favourite Magneto moment was a dialogue between Mags and Pyro from X2 movie..
Pyro: They say you are the “Bad Guy”..
Magneto: Is that what they say?
Pyro: That’s a dorky looking helmet..
Magneto: Well this dorky looking helmet is the only thing that protects me from the real “bad guys”..

Not really his most powerful display but my favorite use of Magnetos power was his castle in Wolverine and the X-Men show. He could change it's state from solid to liquid metal instantly to attack and defend, change the internal structure on a whim to create mazes for any intruders and levitate the whole thing to make a moving fortress
Both Stan and Jack called him "Mag-neet-oh" so for all intents and purpose it's pronounced that way.

My favorite moment with Magneto was when Astra surprised him and he got his ass whupped by his younger clone, Joseph and magnetically hit him in the head with a chunk of metal and runs for his life
These are my favorite moments about Magneto one is bad ass the other is small but significant. 1) He created a hair comb out of thin air in secret wars. He didn't know if he could and asked himself out loud. If I remember correctly he talks about how magnetism is one of the fundamental forces of the universe so he should be able to then he did it 2) When he ripped apocalypse in half. I still remember the fight...he stops attacking apocalypse and becomes motionless. Apocalypse asks "what are you doing?" Magneto: "concentrating" Apocalypse: "NOOO!" ...just as soon as he figured it out it was too late. Magneto literally rips Apocalyspe in half vertically. As a kid my mind was blown lmao. Those two events made me realize magneto can probably do anything.

In X-men: Omega, the last battle between Apocalypse and Magneto in the AoA storyline. Apocalypse ends up with the upper hand almost beating Eric to death. Apocalypse screams at him "This is no time to disappoint me. Fight back! Why wont you fight back!" As he is being choked to death, Magneto barely eeks out the response: "I cant... I'm concentrating." Then, using his last bit of strength, Eric rips the unsuspecting tyrant in two. Truly epic.
I loved if in the MCU the focus was on Magneto we would go through his life from World War II to whenever Marvel decides to have his powers activate a crazy idea for a twist is that Wolverine works with him as opposed to Professor X there was an episode of X-Men evolution where Wolverine and Captain America saved a young Magneto from a concentration camp and I've always liked the idea of Wolverine being an external so you would have people like him and apocalypse who just had their powers and no one knew and then you'd have the new generation starting with Professor X and Magneto and like in the Ultimate Universe Magneto is the one who would free Wolverine from Weapon X but I don't know I just like the idea of it all focusing on Magneto and you could have a bit where Professor X leaves and goes into shiar space and maybe that will be how you get the star jammers teaming up with the Guardians I don't know I just no one's going to read this it doesn't matter

The best moment of Magneto is in the animated serie where he fights with all the mutant in genosha and get charged by Fabian cortez and destroy the sentinals...and on top of that he flies several huge containers filled with mutants to astoid M

Just so you know, reversing the flow of BLOOD would mostly require the ability to manipulate WATER. The iron in the red blood cells is a small, though essential part of them - if Magneto would try to move that iron, he would most definitely RIP all those erythrocytes apart and pretty much make the person die in seconds due to hypoxia. The iron is removed from the blood cells, which means there is nothing left to transport oxygen to the tissues... the heart would still be pumping the liquid and the cells around in the same direction, only the minuscule molecular iron would be moved... and cell walls aren't sturdy enough to contain both the pressure of blood flow AND Magneto's attempted manipulation.

Favorite Magneto moment was in X-ocutioners song when colossus is cut in half, then magneto had to bind him back together on a microscopic level atom by atom. A testament to the precision of his abilities.
My favorite is the newest- Him in the new Hickman run. Every time he speaks its magnificent but him returning to Krakoa as the hero to mutant kind.

@@AndreMillwood Yes. I mean I like Magneto too and all but he can be a bit too broody for me at times though still bad ass. I like Statics personality better. Plus they essentially have the same skill sets and abilities, the only real differences as far as I can tell is the magnitude at which has displayed their abilities and it's been awhile since I read the comics but i remember the animated series well and their recooperative factor differs where Magneto needs rest after pulling stuff off and Static pretty much needs to keep his electrolytes up in his system so it's really the personality that wins it over for me. I mean like dark and broody characters but sometimes I feel like it's over saturated. Plus I tend to like the less mainstream material and characters more in general like when I was younger I read some Marvel, mostly Spider-Man, but beyond that I primarily favored Image and Dark Horse comics and read like Spawn, Witchblade, Hell Boy, Starwars, Ash vs Evil Dead vs, etcetera etcetera. So I've never really been into the big two of DC and Marvel. I mean I enjoy their things and have read them but I never went outta my way to search their stuff out and purchase them they were like a side purchase or quick read when I went to purchase my Image or Dark Horse material.

It is a tough call cuz they've showcased roughly the same abilities that I feel like what Magneto can do would also be Statics full potential, especially after watching I think it was Justice League Unlimited where he meets his future self and how powerful he was for his brief appearance.

I havent read a huge amount of the comics or graphic novels but in the 90s i read the alternate timeline where Magneto kills Apocalpse. He became my fav Marvel charater after that and has been ever since.

A lot of people also forget that during Fatal Attractions he also nearly killed Cable when he turn Cable's metal portions of his body inside out.
