I've been a fan of Greek street food for quite some time. I've finally got to visit Greece this spring (Ouranoupoli and Thessaloniki) and I was amazed by how much better the real deal was compared to the Greek restaurants we have in Romania. Then, last week I tried your chicken gyros and the thyme pitas. Jesus Christ almighty, it was in a league of its own. I'm definitely going to try this souvlaki as well.

This recipe is bomb, we use it so often at home. Most times I cook the meat in my instapot, so that probably won’t be considered souvlaki but it’s still really good for gyros. I hope Akis doesn’t kill me 😂 also, I use spanish olive oil sorry!! 🇪🇸

We made this for supper tonight (cutting up a cheap cut pork butt roast I found in the back of the freezer), the only difference is we cooked them on the outdoor grill. My husband of over 35 years has fallen in love with me all over again. Absolutely delicious souvlaki and bang-on restaurant quality, recipe is going in the family keeper file :) Thank you from Saskatchewan, Canada!!!
Forgot to mention that I had no fresh thyme on hand so I used 1 teaspoon dried instead. Still very delicious!

Sorry to bother but could someone please show me where in the pork do these cuts come from? I ask because I live in Brazil and the cuts are different here, so if I can see the location on the animal I can translate it to the correct cut in my country. Thanks.
they are shoulder, leg or pancetta
Hi @@xarisxarimpas6733 Thanks for the answer but my problem is that the cuts don't lineup between here and there so if I ask for "shoulder" I might get a different cut. In these you can see that "loin" is separated between "copa de lombo" and "lombo" here.

What happened to one of your pork souvlaki video the one with the Smoked Paprika miranade. It was one of the best dish i ever made. But i forgot exactly what you used.
I can only recall:
Olive oil
Vinegar
Smoked paprika
Crushed coriander seeds
Salt and black pepper
.... maybe other things.
Its so damn good. This is actually good too, but i recall it being better when i followed your video, thus i think im missimg ingridients
Looks to be a yummy recipe but I can’t get it from your website because of all the pop up ads on it. Not sure if you can control this or not but it makes me have to go somewhere else for a similar recipe. Love your UA-cam channel though. 👍
