I watched the tape the entire night with a 3 cups of coffee and alot of the issues came from getting smoked at the line of scrimmage, at first I thought Zimmer's scheme was the issue, but when I saw it without being upset, I saw alot of lack of effort and straight up getting bullied which opened the pass plays.

@@spoza72 - its the misdirection of the Shanahan WC scheme that was getting the Saints separation. Shaheed got separation with his speed from the DB, but the Dallas safety wasn't on Shaheed until it was too late. Zimmer has to figure out how to defense well executed Shanahan style WC schemes... until he does Dallas D is gonna struggle against it....

@@alexbroGellungaRunga Most runs we gave came from either Micah no setting the edge,the line itself getting blown or players getting bad angles even when the tackle was infront of them, there where many plays that became bigger plays due to lack of effort, the only adjustments Zimmer can make is put Micah at LB when we face west coast offenses which will keep him away from those tackles on the run game and look to add more beef in the middle of the line.

Just can’t coach toughness and roughness. Dallas hasn’t had it since the 90’s. The defensive lineman and backers…heck the whole defense was getting manhandled. It looked like Colorado trying to compete with Alabama in college football

Humbling and teaching experience to the players and coaches. You learn by your mistakes. You learn and teach in practice and meetings. On game day you make adjustments. If you're seeing something on the field that you didn't prepare for in practice? You're screwed.

So far the only dogs I see on our defense is Overshown and D-Law.
Dak attack I don’t understand a lot of the x’s and o’s for football schemes but the main thing I’ve noticed with a Shanahan style offense. Is one they played very physical and two they have a very strong run game like they try to take as much pressure off the quarterback as they can. I mean Green Bay did that to us 49ers did that to us and now the Saints. And for our offense it’s very hard to get into a shootout when your defense just lets them walk down the field the way they did whenever we go up against Shanahan type teams the Cowboys offense is playing against 2 defenses. And since these coaches know that the only real weapons we have on offense is CeeDee and Ferguson and no run game it’s very easy to shut down our team. and if a guy like me can see these issues I don’t understand how people like Jerry and them don’t see them
They did not utilize the same starting package on defense that they did against the Browns. Damone Clark is a tackling liability. He doesn’t have the same aggression as Overshown.

Hard for our LBS to get anything done against the run when our D line is pushed all the way out into the secondary. Pretty pathetic play by our D line. The whole defense really. But it starts up front on both sides of the ball.

The game got away when brooks slipped and ball got picked and returned 45yards before the half. Legitimately a 14 point swing. If we could’ve kept it close I believe the game would’ve been different in the second half. We just got outplayed and that’s the problem. It’s not that we lose it’s how

What I saw was a team get hit in the mouth hard by an opponent they did not expect it to come from and were shellshocked by it. The defense tried to rely on the offense and the offense was trying to do to much playing catch up.
Wasn't Zimmer the HC for the Vikings when Klint was the OC? He probably was caught slipping, thinking Klint was gonna run the offense he remembered back in Minnesota.
The boys have to be more technical. The saints didn’t really beat the cowboys except for that bomb that our safety’s let happen while in cover 4. The linebackers run fits were not great. Our offense is needing a run game. We are a play action team. Asking dak to be Superman isn’t fair. The run game has to put us in manageable situations. 3rd and 7 will not win championships. Tolbert had some growing to do.
Brooks* Tolbert made a great catch and dove on a ball 20 yards away to atleast get a FG. Brooks needs to work on body control
This game looked exactly like the greenbay game Dak just played better against the saints , but neither one of them games was Dak fault the defense was terrible greenbay scored 6 out of 7 drives straight and new Orleans did the same exact thing
We need micah at the linebacker position. When he can rush unblocked he can create more pressure and he has an eagle eye for the ball. Look at his first year. 13 sacks as a linebacker

Blitzing a LB can cause more rushing issues and pass coverage issues. We need team wins! No more star players hiding the flaws.

kubiak read Zimmer like a book he knew liked to play his A and B gaps and attacked the edge overloading it Zimmer never widened out the dts and Ibs. 4-3 wide 9 was the answer make them beat you up the middle and contain the edge. We have a way more physical interior group they wouldn’t have been able to bully the middle .
I believe this was a scheme issue with a lack of effort .

The dline wasn’t shifting to the strength of the offensive formation and it was allowing the Oline to have great double team angles. Quite frankly we look light at dtackles. If you can’t stale mate or beat the double team. Linemen are taught to grab jersey and pull the Oline down and cause a pile. You don’t allow them to drive you back at all cost.
I agree with you 💯% Dak Attack I too am not giving this defense a pass, they played horrible. And you’re right Dak & Ceedee did all they can do to keep them in the game & I’m not blaming Dak at all. It clearly shows that they’re missing Jake Ferguson & they definitely need insert Dalvin Cook & Ryan Flournoy.

Interior DL is still not a factor despite taking mazi Smith in the first round. Now I'm all for avoiding the sexy pick when it's warranted, but please don't go not sexy and not sure!😅 A lot of the guys we depend on weren't targeted. I can name a ton that were that have been irrelevant. Speaking of, Tyran Mathieu whom was a factor yesterday and we drafted a TE in the 2nd round while he went in the 3rd. Too often we have drafted for need and not BPA and whiffed! Plus you play chicken with these guys contracts and then get held up. When Jake Ferguson is your #2 you have clearly failed to manage your assets accordingly 🤦

What ive learned at 30 yrs as a fan lower your expectations this team will look awesome vs bad teams and well coached teams they will get beat down and look unprepared and its because they arent sweatin in dallas after a loss the players already admitted, in dallas the losses dont feel as bad as other teams

If we don't have the DTs to run a 4-3 how are you gonna switch to a 3-4 when you basically need 3 starting DTs to play on the line of scrimmage?
And how does Parsons playing OLB in a 3-4 change anything? Micah was basically playing a 3-4 edge rusher position the entire game. He was a stand-up pass rusher. He gonna be playing the same position it's just called OLB instead of DE. How is that gonna change anything?

Move Micah to Linebacker permanently or trade him for serious draft capital or plug and play starters. I don’t think the Cowboys can be successful paying a 3rd player a max deal, especially when that player gives you basically nothing in run defense, which is where the cowboys continue to get dominated in the playoffs and vs regular season opponents smart enough to scheme him completely out of the game. I love the guy but it is what it is. He’s an undersized defensive end who only wants sacks. He’s great at that but it isn’t enough to have a sound defense.
O line of the saints dictated the football game. Not to mention going up Against a top 5 running back in Alvin kamara who was running up and down the field.
Two week in I think we good but need to get better in the END Zone and defense that’s how I feel.

The scheme is based off run first with misdirection. Then play action out of it. Each okay is set up for the next play to go take a shot down field or mid field.

You have to play man zone, each guy has their own personal. Zones like cover 4 Quarters cover 3 gets shredded.

Yes you are right Jerry Jones and Stephen Jones it's going to have to go after another top 5 or top 10 wide receivers to play the opposite side of CeeDee Lamb but they have to go after a big body wide receiver that can take off the top like a Tyreek Hill and that can run and Jump in the air and High Point the football come down with it just like Hall of Famer former Dallas Cowboys Drew Pearce used to do and like Hall of Famer Michael Irvin used to do and just like Hall of Famer Terrell Owens used to do and just like Hall of Famer Randy Moss used to do and soon to be Hall of Famer Dez Bryant used to do as well and he has to be an aggressive wide receiver not a soft ass wide receiver .

They were stuck in base defense. 21 and 22 personnel by the Saints. They came out to make us off balance. The Dallas Cowboys Offense had no chance due to the defense.
