TAKE HER COURSES!! Seriously, people! If you’ve spent more than 10 hours watching videos to try to start a blog that makes money - save time and spend the hundred ish bucks! 100% worth it!!!
I COMPLETED your perfecting email course and I really learned a lot. I was surprised about a few things you shared in the course. By the way thank you for this video. I appreciate you encouraging us to set goals. I like that you were strategic with your blog and built multiple businesses. I think it is amazing that you now have your own interior design company and what you have done to the last house. I appreciate the advice you give in your videos.
I do care about the about page btw, it does help me to get to know who you are and what your goals are in one fell swoop, and helps me to connect to who I'm following.
🧡Very encouraging video and great tips. Particularly I like the perspective of 'a year isn't a long time but it is when you're in it'. The year's gonna go by anyway - I just need to keep writing and see what happens. Thank you!!
💯%! We don’t know what can come from trying it out and giving it a real effort. A year from now we can look back and be glad we started or be wishing we had.
You said “don’t try to post 10 blog post, but just try to get them out there. No one’s gonna see your blog” so should I stay consistent(2 post a week) with my posting or just get as much content out on my website before I start gaining traffic?
So you mentioned going niche for your blog. What is there are 2 different topics I want to blog about (e.g. dogs and dorm rooms) that I can equally passionate about? Should I create different domains/website for each blog topic?
I struggled with that myself. It’s like picking your favorite child. Mine are digital entrepreneurship and health. I am now leading with digital entrepreneurship and weaving the topic of health into it by tailoring it to my niche. For example “incorporating mental health hacks while running a home-based business”.
Technically, anyone can start a named or numbered LLC. But it costs money to start an LLC and you need to file taxes at least once a year, even if you don't make money. You should get a bank account for the business, which costs money. And you should get an accountant to guide you so that everything is done right, which costs money. A good accountant would be essential because people think they can start writing off expenses if they have an LLC, but they actually may not be able to if the business isn't making money. Which can get you in a lot of trouble. I actually started two LLC's for a movie production company...before I made money. I did it because of insurance and Chain Of Title contract issues. Plus if you hire crew to help you with the movie, there are even more legal issues. In the end, my production company failed to launch and I terminated both companies. I wasted a lot of money and time in the process. The lesson I learned is that aesthetics are easy. It was very easy to start an LLC and do a lot of the tactile physical things that a business requires. Like think of a cool name for the company. Aesthetic issues are fun to do because they are easy to see, touch, measure, and even hire someone to do for you. But its very hard to do the less tactile things...like actually creating content. And organizing all the parts of the project so that it actually works.
Hello! I took your blogging course a while ago and was never approved for the Facebook group. I tried emailing you all and messaged about this and haven’t received anything from you. I thus didn’t buy your Pinterest course. My only complaint but a big one as I was looking forward to connecting with other blogger 😢
100% the best I've watched and there has been some serious wasted time. Thanks so much for making sense. I really appreciate it!

Vision,consistency, it's a long term game,don't try and be a perfectionist,niche down

Would you recommend trademarking and establishing as an LLC from the very beginning of starting your blog? (even without a following)

Would you ever recommend buying a Shopify blog them. Is SEO good with Shopify?

Thanks for the content. Would you have any advice on Gdpr/ privacy policies and terms and conditions when first starting out?
If you’re referring to legal pages for your blog you can look up “A Self Guru” that’s what Sophia and many others have used.
So is the blog to teach people or is it to funnel people go another service you offer.
When you say niche down, how can we do that. Through tagging blog posts or?

Do i need an LLC or any other business registration to start blogging?
Not closely related to blogging, but could I ask you what other job you were doing in college? Only if you feel comfortable sharing it :)
If you go to her video where she talks about paying off all her college debt, she talks about nannying and other jobs she did
Lmaooo 😂a year is a long time when you grind every single day for hours and not a single penny in return
True, but the ROI is huge for some, like her, after that first year.
