A few weeks ago I went over my weekly schedule now that I've built my blog into a business but a frequent question I get a lot is what my first year blogging schedule was. let me tell you, it was sooo different.
I was a full-time college student when I first started my blog but knew I had to treat it like a real job. I time-blocked my time so I could make sure i was making time for my blog, just like i would any other job.
i even found my old blogging binder that was a gold mine of information! so crazy to look back on 🤯🤯 hope you enjoy this one!

I was working on my blog throughout college too! When I was a junior. I used to work on my blog in between gap times of waiting for my next class from my last one and then I would continue it after I was done working on homework at night. I did it daily and I was so excited to get to it. It was the best thing that got me under control of the stressful times during my life that time. However, those first years were trial and error because I did not do SEO properly (because it was just a hobby at first) so I had to redo them throughout time but it was much easier to work with something than to restart from nothing. 5 years later, I'm still blogging and getting paid for it now!

I'm in my first year of blogging and I treat it like a full time job! I do three blog posts per week and spend most of my time writing blog posts. Like you said, I focus on posts that will get views, affiliate revenue, or people on my email list. It is very strategic!!! And I focus on Pinterest too.

Thank you, Sophia! I restarted my blog last year talking about interior design and a few lifestyle topics. Despite starting in 2016 as a Hobby, It was until in 2021 I started being serious about writing after being focused on work and then working as a Freelance interior Designer and then having a small team, not until 2020, I am able to have some time to re-think what my other passions were about and thought of re-start my blog again and this time think of it like a business than a hobby itself and since then things are more manageable which I thought it wasn't and still finding ways to make it better, especially on the work process.
I'm glad to see your blog on Pinterest which led me to your UA-cam Channel and learn about blogging. Keep going on your journey! Kudos to you and your team!

I'm a little over my year mark of blogging and those first couple of months (okay honestly the first 6 months) I wasn't taking it that seriously or thinking about the money-content side of things when I would write. Since then I've tried to be a lot more intentional with what I'm putting out there and my ROI, currently my blogging schedule looks like this:
    5:30-8am Monday, Wednesday, Thursday mornings
Monday: write an email, create pins for last week's post, post to Pinterest
Wednesday & Thursday: write a blog post for this week
I love the emphasis on writing a blog post only if it gets the reader to sign up for your email list, drives them toward an affiliate sale, or generates ad revenue. So helpful to think of moving forward!

Here’s a review for people that consider taking your course:
I took your course back in December & used to rewrite blogs that I already had written. Because the first time i wrote it, i had no clue what i was doing. I followed most of your recommendations. The one blog that i rewrote is already on the 2nd page of google.
Please keep in mind that my website is aged. So that might play a role why it ranked so well when i rewrote it. But i think your course def helped. I also bought the pinterest course but haven’t looked at it yet. But i def need to because i suck on pinterest lol . thanks for sharing your content.

i’ve had a blog since 2009. i started really posting more regularly this year. i used to write whenever i felt like i had something to say. i would go weeks sometimes months without posting, but i wanted that to change since i knew i wasn’t going to get readers if i wasn’t going to post on a regular basis. this year, i plan on posting at least once a week for a year to see if that helps with getting more readers.

I was a pro-blogger from 2010 to 2012 and continued earning monthly income from that effort until 2019 when my sites received a redirect hack. When I started I worked full time and could only devote an hour a day to it. I made very little progress. But at the beginning of 2012 the company I worked for was acquired by another company. They came in and literally said, “stop what you’re doing until this acquisition is finalized. So for an entire month, I went to the office and blogged full time, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I was shocked at how much a person can accomplish when the mind can remain focused on a single task.

Can you help, like legitimately? I have found a handful of coarses I'd like to take to be walked through things and learn etc. But like I said we are barely covering essential things like rent. I'm desperate for help because I need to make it happen some how. I've asked other bloggers I follow for help and recieve only short answers that make no money or people telling me you can't do it if you don't have experience or a camera other then your phone and iPad etc.

Blogging is a long game, and you don’t make money overnight.
I agree with the other folks in this thread to get a PT job (use UberEats, rover, etc,for one that’s flexible), and then use that money to invest!
Also, I’ve taken other courses + attended conferences. I recommend Sophia’s courses 10000%

This is all great advice. I think you should look at your budget and see where you can cut and get really clear on where your miscellaneous spending is going. Then add a part time job like doordash etc. that has been shared. You can also do little things for cashback based on things you already do or places you already shop. Courses can help but until you have the extra money there are tons of free resources you can use.
