Mr smedes PLEASEEE answer I really need to know... are we supposed to know about polar and ferrel cells? they aren't mentioned in the CED neither in your videos but they're in barrons
It's hard to say! It doesn't hurt to be familiar with them, but I wouldn't expect them to be a key part of questions about topic 4.5 that appear on the exam. Past exam questions indicate that understanding prevailing wind directions at the different latitude ranges and the Coriolis effect are more emphasized than ferrel or polar cells.
I would say both the URP practice exams and the AP Classroom practice exams are 5-10% easier than the actual exam. Not dramatically different, but I typically see a bit a small gap in how my students do on those practice exams and the exam in May. The structure of questions and the exam weighting by unit is very similar, though!
If it makes you feel any better, the URP practice tests were both written by actual exam writers for the College Board. They worked to make it as similar as possible, but there's a much more drawn out process of vetting and testing questions that end up on the actual exam in May.

Mr Smedes are your practice exams (especially the MCQ section) in the URP similar to the real exam, should we expect similar scores, thank you.
