- Scene from Texhnolyze, i really liked the atmosphere and music.
Note: Back when I uploaded this, I had to vertically stretch the video to get the aspect ratio right, as UA-cam's pipeline couldn't handle it properly. Eventually, UA-cam started fixing all these codec-related issues and transcoded all content anew. Alas, this means we now get the distorted original, and I can't go back and undo that.
One of the most beautiful moments in the series but tragic at the same time. Is the grass truly greener on the other side?
bro... it's yellow
@@mouteg2176metaphor brah.
Finally ichise touch grass
@Siddi1976 Colorful, and yet empty and heartless. Almost ugly.
The grey world of the underground city is more natural, beautiful, and alive.
How colorful the world above appears. In contrast to the underground city.
Colourful and dull, colourless and vivid.
IKR? It’s such an amazing contrast, especially when you see how out of place the characters are in this world. Like, we’re still in their universe, but as far as we know, they’ve ‘ascended.’
Colourful, yet dead...
I'll pay anyone if they can get in contact with the artist who created this song OR recreate the song itself.

Best I can do.
Damn it, will this song be lost forever? I would love to obtain the background music to this scene.
@Rei Kaz This song gonna be forgotten, he dont appear in neither ost collections of this anime
There was also this one song playing on the radio when they were talking with the theonormal boss guy, with the chair
Any clues yet?
@@SneedFeedAndSeed and the scene of Ichise in the sewer maze.. the epic cello hip hop remix
@@xSilentRecon Exactly. Been searching for it. Such a shame. All of the songs in the show are great but they didn't put some of them in a decent soundtrack album.
Thankyou for posting this. I'm disappointed the song is on neither of the OSTs.
The anime really did make the surface look foreign. Not at all like the underground at all, and yet was it better or worse?
It looks like Edward Hopper's works
It really does! I wasn't familiar with Hopper's work (only Nighthawks due its popularity).
It is most definetly a reference to his works! A lot of the still shots are almost 1:1 replicas of some of his, look it up!
I hope I don't sound to stupid asking this, but what was up with the surface people? They explain that they have given up on life and are waiting to die, we see the doctor talking to a disembodied voice (or an empty chair) and people instantly vanishing...so were they supernatural? (so why wasn't the mustache guy supernatural?) where they ghost? (but later the protag. shoots two of them out of mercy), did their bodies die and some of them transferred their minds to bodies? or was this just an artsy, abstract way of showing them mankind dieing slowly?
Everyone on the surface gave up the will to live, because they could not reproduce, thats why they sent everyone underground, hoping evolution would take place, but it didnt work, they knew the human race would die die out, so they gave up, and waited to die, the theonormal, cant reproduce, let me know if you have any more questions, its hard to find people that want to discuss texhnolyze :)

Thanks for taking the time to answer, and I hope I don't sound rude, but I'm not sure you understood what my question was lol. Maybe I didn't explain very clear in the first place, but I understood all the "story" elements of what was going on with the surface people, what I was asking about was the more about the practical things. What I mean is are they even still alive, because we see them do multiple "supernatural" things like disappearing and reappearing out of thin air and having a disembodied voice (coming from a chair lol), but then there was also that scene where two of them let the main character shoot them out of mercy (it's been awhile, I forget names lol) so when I say what was going on with them, what I mean was how were they doing all of this? Were some of them ghosts but not those two guys who got shot? Were some of them wizards lol? Personally, I think it was just meant to be abstract and kind of an "artsy" way of displaying a dieing race, but anyway I hope I made my question more clear this time.
Kronic Shade yeah thats what i think too, i think it was just an artsy way of showing them die out, they have resigned themsevles, but i was confused about the dissappearing thing, and confused me too, and made me rewatch the show again, when i first watched this, i didnt know what to think, i theorized that maybe they were holograms or something, but they say they are ghosts, i just think ichise wanted to see his father, so he imagined him, he said he wanted to talk to his dad for so long, so i think thats why, he was there
Kronic Shade what do you think, there seems to be no way to tell if they were ghosts or not, im mostly confused about the ending, when kanno, said lux was in his head and not real, some theroize that its just a dream, and the episode is called myth too, what do you think. i still have questions myself, and some parts seem too ambigous, to tell for sure if thats what the author meant lol
Kronic Shade i think the guys that got shot were just regular people, who wanted too, die, another thing that confused me was the little girl, that could dissapear, on the surface and made me think, that maybe the surface really was heaven, and it was bascally saying that heaven would die out too, that would explian why everyone did look like ghosts, and could disappear, whats your theroy lol
Song Name?
why the hell did the doctor commit suicide after seeing this zz
Because the world above died a long time ago.
@NAMES99 sad
@NAMES99 She could have just try make her life purpose to support the MC sad
@@ayami123 i think she's supported ichise enoughly
@NAMES99 :( i really ended up liking Doc too
the name of the song?please
It's nowhere. Wasn't included on the anime's ost
It's like castle in the sky vibes
This anime feels more relevant now than it was in 2003
2020 was bascially surface world, I really wish to see more of these types of philsophical, jaded and thought provoking anime by Chikai J konaka. If not for Ryūtarō Nakamura unfortnate passing, we would already have that new anime "Despera" which has been in development for more than a decade to discuss, which im sure (When or if it is ever realeased) will be nothing short of a animation masterpiece.
Proper disturbign and jarring
Someone plz find this ost

Did the best i could
Ost name?
Unknown, not on either OST. All three composers on the show worked heavily with Yoko Kanno before, and it sounds like a track off of Wolf's Rain or Escaflowne. But Tsuneo Imahori tracks are usually more guitar rock and jazz, Hajime Mizoguchi tracks tend towards somber piano and cello, leaving me to guess this would be a Keishi Urata (Kanno's synth player) composition. His solo work is more of this ambient/new age variety.
Texhnolyze dub >>> sub
Bope
this is the only series where i 100% agree that the dub is better
Both are still wonderful imo
Both are fine tho.
Nah, the dub is fine but i am not a fan ichises dub voice.
Bleakest depiction of a utopia
@johnpanicker7590 A Utopian Dystopia, ironic that a man made world of complete peace is just as bad as world full of chaos. This anime really makes you think.
