At 13:27 whats stopping white from playing bishop D6? I know I'm only a 1600 player but isnt that a better deal? White will end up with a Rook and bishop instead of two bishops because the white King is forced to take the bishop on D6. Am I missing something here?

Why waste a tempo with Qb6, since you can't capture the pawn and you are going back to c7. You could just go to c7.
