Great reaction! So good that you finally got to hear Oceans. My favourite Pearl Jam song (along with 'Release' - also amazing - watch the live Holland 1992)
All these gems from their first album. This was such a new sound for the time (as far as popular music goes), and we were never the same. Loved that they played this on Unplugged as it was such a cool, different sounding song from Ten.
Yep, there are songs I continually revisit. I was in my 20’s during the 90’s and to this day I can’t get enough of Black Unplugged. Watching PJ perform (MTV) takes the music to another level. It is fun to see you get swept up by this phenomenal band. Cheers
I feel like that to. It's something that just draws you in and you keep listening till your obsessed and you learn every lyric and are singing along. I love watching you react to PJ. PJ and Tool are my favorite bands tied for first place for different reasons. I Hope you dive into some of their songs that people don't react to. Maybe they try and they are getting blocked, I don't know but everyone does the same few popular hits that doesn't even scratch the surface of how incredible their discography is. If you read this I'm recommending In My Tree or Red Mosquito to mention a couple but there is so many. I'm gonna shut up now. Lol. Love all you reactions. I love that your real and you don't make the video about you. I watch so many reaction channels it's crazy but you are one my favs. Keep up the great content.
Aw thank you, that means so much to me! I'm glad to hear you're the same way..their music really does suck you in! 😊 I'll have to listen to Tool. I don't really know much by them. 🤔 I will add those to the list - hopefully they won't get blocked! I know the lead singer (I think, if I remember right) is quite particular on how his music is listened to so I guess time will tell! 😅
BEAUTIFUL REACTION NIKKI!! WASN'T THAT BEAUTIFUL? I GO BACK TO PEARL JAM'S MTV UNPLUGGED ALL THE TIME. STATE LOVE AND TRUST IS THE LAST ONE. IT'S ALSO AMAZING HE WEARING HIS BACKWARDS HAT ON THAT ONE TOO! EDDIE IS A GORGEOUS MAN AND HUMAN BEING STILL IS TODAY 2024. SUGGESTION: THE SONG IS "RELEASE" 1992 IN HOLLAND A VERY EMOTIONAL PERFORMANCE!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR PEARL JAM REACTIONS! I HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL CHILLED WEEK. THANK YOU NIKKI. 😊💓🔥🤘✌️
Pearl Jam's 'Ten' album was one of those rare albums where there's not a single bad song on it. "Oceans" was one of my favorites to put on repeat as I listened to the CD.
I think maybe higher register is what you were trying to say. The Warning Black Holes and Breathe live at Pepsi Center are must hear songs. Both are Pau on grand Piano with a strings section on stage in front of 8k people. Truly breath taking performance.
Loving your reactions! Ok, from this era you have to do "Release" (live from Holland, '92 -- it is perfect), "State of Love and Trust" (MTV Unplugged) and "Porch" (Pinkpop '92 for some classic old Eddie stage antics), but then you absolutely need to move on to "Daughter", "Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town", "Go", "Corduroy", "Rearviewmirror", "Immortality", "The Long Road", "I Got ID", "Given to Fly"... there's so much more. You've only cracked the surface really.
Ed did this to me when i watched this when it debuted in 1992..and guess what..i saw him 4x this year and he still does. He is still grateful and humble. You can always see him looking at the crowd and feeling our love and taking in every second.
Yeah, Oceans is beautiful and so different to all the other songs on the album 10. As for getting obsessed with a song and a particular part of a song, god theres so many so I'll just stick to Pearl Jam. Their song Rearviewmirror and the ending in particular is flawless to me, I'll never get tired of it. One of their faster paced Rock songs but so good.
This is a great one....also check out ( if you haven't already) State of Love and Trust from this same MTV unplugged performance. Also check out the Release Live Holland 1992 black and white video on UA-cam. Lastly, the 2018 live version of Daughter from Chicago also on UA-cam.
I do the specific section or line or word thing too, Nikki! Sometimes the singer just hits a sweet spot for my ear with a word choice or inflection that my brain just decides is the coolest thing it’s ever heard but with no specific reason for why that’s the case! I hope that happens to everyone else too, it’s a cool feeling- like finding a hidden diamond in a safe full of gold, it’s like “ how did it just get even better in that one little part right there?!?” 😂
Great song! As incredible as Eddie's performance is on Black Unplugged, I'm kinda obsessed with the doo-doo-doo-doo, doo-doo-doos (weird, huh?). I used to be obsessed with the meaning of Don McLean's American Pie lyrics, all 8 1/2 minutes of it, but there's been so much written about it that I'm over that. This was another good one, Nikki! 🔥🙌
I wonder why only Pearl Jam's debut album 'Ten' gets all the attention for reactions... I know it's their biggest record - and iconic 90's 'grunge' rock album at 13x platinum sales in the US... alongside Nirvana's 'Nevermind' (10x platinum in the US) ... Soundgarden's 'Superunknown' (6x platinum) and Alice in Chains' 'Dirt' (5x platinum) ... but Pearl Jam has 12 studio albums to date; plenty of other records to choose songs from... So, more Pearl Jam songs besides the 'Ten' album: 'Given to fly' ... 'Last kiss' (Wayne Cochran cover) ... 'Evacuation' ... 'Wishlist' ... 'Life wasted' ... 'Immortality' ... 'The Fixer'...
At the end of this song he states, "A little love song I wrote about my surfboard. *laughs* No, Actually it's to somebody named Beth who hopefully I will see tomorrow." Beth was Eddie's first wife.
you can see her falling in love with Eddie vedder . Awesome reaction. Eddie said this is a love song about his surf board but I think this version its cut.
Excellent Reaction, your are right this song is magic and the voice and felling is epic.. Recommend you Mr Bungle Travolta Or Steven Wilson song Harmony Korine Regards from Chile South America
If you listen or watch the full version of unplugged Eddie mentions that this is "a little love song I wrote about my surfboard." UA-cam doesn't do these songs justice with all the terrible compression. Get a FLAC file or an actual CD to hear how much better it sounds if you enjoy it.
Hi Nikki. Love your reactions. I was lookjng through your reactions, and i don't see them, but can you react to Black Holes and Breathe from the Warning at the Pepsi Center? Please do them in one reaction and make sure the English caotions are on fur Breathe, as you'll want to understand the intro. I do not see a lonk to send tios or ciffee. Do you have something like that? Thank you, Charlie
Hi and thank you! I will definitely check those out soon (I've been meaning to check out some performances from the Pepsi Center - I'm a little behind on watching any of those!). And no, I don't have any links like that - just UA-cam! 😊Thank you for watching though, I appreciate it! And I will remember to turn on the captions! 😁
If Ed couldn't stopped screaming, quit the cigarettes, and put a cork in the bottle, his voice might be as good today as it was back then. Probably not, but maybe.
the greatest music ever created happened in a 5 year span in the 90s
So GLAD you picked the unplugged version! Just beautiful!
State of love and trust-unplugged next? #PJ 🖤
Great reaction! So good that you finally got to hear Oceans. My favourite Pearl Jam song (along with 'Release' - also amazing - watch the live Holland 1992)
Thank you! I will add it to my list. And yeah, I love Oceans!! I've listened to it quite often since making this video! 😊

"Oceans" was one of my favorites to put on repeat as I listened to the CD.
This song is very beautiful. I'm glad see you smiling. Do you have a pretty smile. Congrats from Brazil.
"GARDEN" is another amazing and sometime overlooked song by Pearl Jam
"GARDEN" IS INCREDIBLE!! ONE OF MY FAVORITES AND SOOO UNDERRATED. 😊💓🤘✌️
Garden is definitely my favorite.
I think maybe higher register is what you were trying to say.
The Warning Black Holes and Breathe live at Pepsi Center are must hear songs. Both are Pau on grand Piano with a strings section on stage in front of 8k people. Truly breath taking performance.
Yeah that tone, vibe, vibratto and distortion on "ring" is incredible...

Definitely need to check out “State of Love and Trust” from Pearl Jam’s MYV Unplugged. Love it.

great reaction. it really was a different time in music in that small window.

La surrealista del Ten.

@@sumonjamal1653 Oh I will definitely be getting around to them too!
Oceans is a song on the second side/part of the CD/tape/album TEN.
Smart choice always live with PJ ❤

"State of Love and Trust" and "elderly woman behind the counter in a small town", Breathe....
And yes I am seeing and agreeing 100% on watching Black Holes and Breathe by Pau playing on the piano at the Pepsi Center.
Yeah, I can’t quite but my finger on it, but the way he sings “ring”….unique and within the word itself …emotive.
Excellent Reaction, your are right this song is magic and the voice and felling is epic..
Recommend you Mr Bungle Travolta
Or Steven Wilson song Harmony Korine
Regards from Chile South America
Oh wow, Chile! Thanks for watching. 😊I will add those songs to my list!
Fun fact. The original version of this ended with him singing “oh Beth, oh Beth” which has been cleverly edited to sound like he’s just harmonizing.
Enough with the fun fact junk
Yep
You've only got one Unplugged left, State of Love and Trust, and it has plenty of that trademark Vedder grit.
Well 2. But they never officially released the cover of Rockin' In The Free World
Somehow I didn't know that! I'm just picking at random from ones that were highly requested. I can't believe there's only one left! 👀😱
@@nikkireviews their's was a short set, only 7 songs and one cover that hasn't seen the light of day, because they only had one album at the time.
❤❤❤

Good one, you gotta hear elderly woman behind the counter in a small town. Live is best!
Reacto to "Indifference"
I like your style
Demais😍
Do their latest video Wreckage please!!
Every dude's man crush. Eddie is the goat!
Btw...you should watch the music video nevertheless! ❤️

I agree strongly with this request.
Nikki, you owe it to yourself to watch those two performances, they’re Pau at her best in many ways - remember Creep?

Listen to oceans by hillsong too
you look nice
Pearl Jam - “Release”
just not the sh!tty Holland version everybody has done. Almost any version is better than that.
@@FeelItRising Agreed, I would suggest she reacts to the album version, including the hidden instrumental/vocal at the very end of the track.
Yes, you can't go wrong - any version would be great!
I suggest “Release” live at Wrigley Field, 2016. An incredible vocal performance. Eddie’s voice ages like fine wine.
@@maggieshevelew1693 That’s a good one. Live in Rome 2018 is another good one.

Proving to me that I wasn't crazy in my mid 20s. Here we are a generation later seeing others react exactly the same as we all did 30 years ago.🫡
This song is about his surf board.
The greatest of all time. Ask roger daltry
