As a whiskey noob I'd like to see blinds that have very strong fruit notes or one with just the most common, basic, and accessible whiskeys (Jack Daniel's, Jim Beam, Makers Mark, Costco/Sam's Club Store brands etc.)
I wonder what her tastings notes are . As Trenton picks out Garden Hose and rubber band notes… maybe Sis is better … where every day is a Hair Adventure for the Lad too …. Bring Sis on More Kurt
I really liked this. I think you should have someone like Raquel (sorry if I butchered spelling) that has minimal to no Whiskey/Bourbon experience and just grab random bottles off the shelve/your storage areas. Maybe in next videos give her a criteria like; has to be a Rye, has to be all same distillery, or bottles not behind the camera etc.. Always love watching you guys!
SLB Classics 0:08 uh oh! Raquel is in charge again 0:27 Kurt really opened up the flood gates 1:29 the stakes have never been higher for Trenton 2:04 definitely a solid incorrect guess 2:55 uh oh, Kurt found his old friend 3:13 let the smack talk commence! 4:20 can’t forget the sweet and sour note 5:11 Trenton is entitled to his wrong opinions 5:52 lol what’s wrong with Kurt’s nose? Taking guesses 6:25 the boys weren’t ready for the kentucky hug 6:55 so many Ricky Bobby references, had to point the fire out 8:21 personal opinions only 8:35 Trenton has a nosegasm, can’t complain with free help 9:40 Trenton is quite confused facial expressions 10:28 please don’t kick Trenton out of town, icecream story time with Kurt 12:24 more complaining about free untrained help 12:50 Trenton is disappointed that it isn’t bourbon or rye 13:06 Kurt spills the beans on the Japanese whiskey 13:45 story time with Trenton 16:08 Japanese whiskey cocktail time with Kurt 18:00 the boys are in sync today 19:13 Trenton sadly did math realizing he is old 20:18 Trenton is sad that he picked WT first but he is honest too 20:55 she knew to rub it in 21:15 Trenton guess 1/1 22:00 they’ll fix it, but it’s all fine 23:40 Trenton guesses kinda 2/2, we will give him 1.5/2 24:34 it too some time but Kurt got it 24:50 non-chill filtered! 26:18 another 0.75 guess, 2.25/3 on guesses, well done 28:22 trenton is changing! 28:40 Raquel is possibly being demoted 29:07 nice sign off and nod
Good call on the Komagatake. Komagatake 2021 is an ex-bourbon & sherry cask single malt release that's true to their soft & mellow house style with lush jammy fruit notes, hence the appeal to bourbon drinkers and nice job discerning the sherry flavor.
I’m slowly but surely turning more towards Wild Turkey- the Private Select Store picks are bangers and the Rare Breeds for $50 at Walmart are no brainers
Would love to see a blind consisting of bourbons only from estate distilleries (Whiskey Acres, Cedar Ridge, etc.) These small local distilleries would benefit from the recognition and support.
I just stopped by a winery we like to go to that has a ton of different whiskey options to taste and I saw a 2019 Komagatake and so because of this video I gave it a try....very nice, 2 thumbs up.
I have a Knob Creek single barrel that drinks too hot. Good flavors but it's just overkill. It doesn't do well with a block of ice so I might try water drops. Makes me appreciate the art of blending and proofing.
I think Raquel made an awesome blind for you guys even if it was by accident , 3 bangers and a curveball that was also tasty. I really enjoyed watching!
Many years ago my stepson and I were avid turkey hunters. Each morning (way before dawn) we would have a cup of coffee with Wild Turkey in it for good luck. I still love Wild Turkey and have great memories of those times.
I would love to see you blind K.Luke toasted batch 2. This is a “barely” toasted pour that really lets the whiskey shine through and the toast is just a compliment
Legacy blend blind. 50/50 blends of that Distillers standard, and one of their higher proof offerings. Examples could be buffalo trace blended with blantons straight from the barrel, wild turkey 101 blended with rare breed, four roses select with their barrel proof etc. Could make for a good video with many iterations?
You guys ever check-out Rural Inn? It’s a father/son outfit down in Indianapolis with a really great selection. They do a good job of bringing in cool bottles, sampling store picks, the whole nine yards. Worth checking if you’re ever in the area
I like when Trent guesses the blinds that's part of the fun, why not! I like the sour mashes in slight sour flavors. I bought the Green River bourbon and sadly wasn't a fan. It's okay but nothing special in my opinion just higher proof
I'm not a big fan of the new glasses! I like it when you can see the different color tones of the whiskies!! Love the show Trenton just keep doing wha you do, that's what keeps thing light and easy fun to watch!! Just remember Trent when you turn around to check the shelf we can see your bald spot!!
I am a big fan of the low budget whiskeys out of Clermont and Louisville Kentucky. Not the Hardin's Creek because it is too expensive. My 3 rebuys are the 100 proof Old Grand-Dad from Clermont, the 100 proof Early Times from Louisville, and the 90 proof Bernheim Original Wheat Whiskey from Louisville. $21 to $31. If it cost a little less, I would add the Coopers Craft 100 proof from Louisville that I can find for $35 to $37, sold out at MSRP stores.
Weird because the best thing I’ve had Till this day is Jack Daniels coy hill 143 proof, literally the smoothest and longest finish I’ve over had, better then 2020 KOK and rr15 for me but I have a long way to go and lots I need to try
I'm surprised Kurt doesn't add some water to the higher proof stuff....he's not a huge fan of the super hot stuff but the good thing about higher proof stuff is you can add a couple drops of water and then see how that performs. You can always add water to high proof but you can't add proof to 80-90 proofers.
Can someone explain to me why so much time is spent smelling whiskey? Do you smell your steak before cutting in? Do you smell a top cheesecake before taking a bite? Do u smell a beer before drinking? Just seems like such an overplay by so called experts. Its the taste….its the taste…. Its the taste.
I want to see blinds from someone who has never tasted neat bourbon before! The real truth about how wild turkey 101 is for starters. (I had to drop down to BH and work up to buffalo trace).
Don't listen to the black glen haters. Its the only way to do a real blind. Seeing the color will give a hint as to age, etc. and may influence your rankings. Yes, on clear glens when not doing blinds.
Which whiskey would YOU pick for a blind tasting? Comment below, and maybe we'll include your suggestion in the next challenge! Don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss any future tastings and challenges!
If we shared with you, it would no longer be blind!
As a whiskey noob I'd like to see blinds that have very strong fruit notes or one with just the most common, basic, and accessible whiskeys (Jack Daniel's, Jim Beam, Makers Mark, Costco/Sam's Club Store brands etc.)
@@slbdrinks all of the ECBPs from this year! Plus the c923
I'd like to see you guys try Noah's Mill
Props to your sister for picking a very interesting and diverse lineup!
I wonder what her tastings notes are . As Trenton picks out Garden Hose and rubber band notes… maybe Sis is better … where every day is a Hair Adventure for the Lad too …. Bring Sis on More Kurt
Next time, jigger measures! 😂
It's humorous that Trenton thinks it's weird when he gets a cinnamon note. But he has no problem pulling out sweaty Jim shorts and rubber tires
And drain pipes and asphalt 😂
@@Usonian7 every good humorist bases their taste notes on their first 16 to 22 years of life experiences….. gives pause, doesn’t it Trenton❣️😇😎
“Jim” or “gym” shorts
@@yanksrule311sweaty Jim shorts are worse than gym shorts
@@yanksrule311 depends on which day 😂😂
This is the funnest video you guys have made so far. Very very enjoyable - funny, fun and extremely relatable. Keep it up, gentlemen.
These blind blinds are great! When there is no theme, the guess and impressions are so much more fun!
Trenton wildly sniffing around like my dog at the beginning had me rolling 😂
14:46 goes perfectly with the music 😂 nice job, Kurt!
This was great, guys! The whiskey noob is a keeper for these blinds!👌
Good job Raquel!!!
Kurt’s afraid to be wrong and Trenton doesn’t care if he’s wrong . I love Trenton’s confidence 🥃
I love these blinds and I really like them when you don't even know what the options are. Good stuff
The maturation of Trenton in one video! Old man is rubbing off on him!😆
I can't pour the Stagg 18 without immediately popping a few Tums. 🔥
I enjoy when your sister and mom pick bottles with no rules
Love Trenton’s energies of the profiles, please don’t hold him back
Trenton, you must have known what these were 🤣😂🤣 You said Cedar Ridge on D & then you said, “but the only Japanese whiskey I have….” lol!
I really liked this. She picked some great bottles, you guys did well
Great blind. “Noob” did good!

22:00 they’ll fix it, but it’s all fine
23:40 Trenton guesses kinda 2/2, we will give him 1.5/2
24:34 it too some time but Kurt got it

28:22 trenton is changing!
28:40 Raquel is possibly being demoted
29:07 nice sign off and nod
I love your shows. Heart warming and so entertaining. Great Job!
Wow I got a bottle of still austin cask strength rye at 116 proof and added a couple of maraschino cherries and a little juice it is so good
I like it when Trenton tries to guess what he's tasting.
Good call on the Komagatake. Komagatake 2021 is an ex-bourbon & sherry cask single malt release that's true to their soft & mellow house style with lush jammy fruit notes, hence the appeal to bourbon drinkers and nice job discerning the sherry flavor.
Unbelievable! That Trenton was able to pull out the Hardin's Creek! That is Hella impressive!
Fantastic video! Well done everyone.
I’m slowly but surely turning more towards Wild Turkey- the Private Select Store picks are bangers and the Rare Breeds for $50 at Walmart are no brainers
I died watching Trenton sniff that last glass. 🤣
I didn’t know Stagg was that high proof. Out of my price range anyway 😂
Love when Kurt shows how he makes a drink
Would love to see a blind consisting of bourbons only from estate distilleries (Whiskey Acres, Cedar Ridge, etc.) These small local distilleries would benefit from the recognition and support.
Awesome blind. Thanks 🎉
I just stopped by a winery we like to go to that has a ton of different whiskey options to taste and I saw a 2019 Komagatake and so because of this video I gave it a try....very nice, 2 thumbs up.
I haven't watched this video yet. I remember she did well last time. Looking forward to what this video will bring us.
As an everyday sipper, Barrel 5 year is my new favorite ‘underrated’ IMO
The NOOB has that look of "yup, I picked them and I DON'T CARE if they suck". Gotta love it, the ultimate blind.
Must admit, I’m not a big fan of those black glasses. I like seeing the deepness in color, and the viscosity when swirled.
😂😂 Glad Trenton was not having a fit but I'm now on the hunt for Hardins Creek!! Never heard that sound or emotion!! 😂
And I personally prefer the clear glens so we can see the color of each sipper
The plum vinegar has me intrigued, may try that. Live you guys
Last time, it was a really fun blind! Looking forward to this one, later this evening!
Cheers from Winnipeg! 🥃
Love me some Lincoln Flats, cheers 🥃
I have a Knob Creek single barrel that drinks too hot. Good flavors but it's just overkill. It doesn't do well with a block of ice so I might try water drops. Makes me appreciate the art of blending and proofing.
That was a good one 🥃
I got Rare Bread for the first time the other day and I love it. I’m like you Kent. I keep going back to wild turkey 101 and now I will rarely bread
Valpo velvet is great! You have to give Pat’s ice cream parlor in Valpo.
Raquel needs to do a blind along with you both.
I recently picked up a Breckinridge and I really like it. That may be a good pick for a blind.
Which one did you get? I got one and thought it was awful ended up using it for a mixer.
I think Raquel made an awesome blind for you guys even if it was by accident , 3 bangers and a curveball that was also tasty.
I really enjoyed watching!
Great video!
Hudsonville Triple Peanut Butter Cup. Is a great ice cream made in Michigan.
Y'all are getting pretty good at this
Great blind. Awesome video per usual guys! I think y’all should do a dusty blind. If you have the bottles to do so.
Great fun blind today.
Many years ago my stepson and I were avid turkey hunters. Each morning (way before dawn) we would have a cup of coffee with Wild Turkey in it for good luck. I still love Wild Turkey and have great memories of those times.
you guys need to review that Frey Ranch behind ya!
Let that bird fly! Really enjoy the content.
Will you gents be doing a Coy Hill or an ECBP C924 review? Can you do a blind of all the ECBPs from this year? Thanks, love the channel! From Boston
I still don't like the black glens, but the lettering on them is nice.
You should make a comprehensive lineup ranging from your best to your worst bottles and have mom and raquel taste them.
Love my Russell 13 and private barrel what WT should I go for
Happy Friday!!!
I would love to see you blind K.Luke toasted batch 2. This is a “barely” toasted pour that really lets the whiskey shine through and the toast is just a compliment

Wild Turkey 101 8yr export to Japan is fantastic
I'm still too inexperienced to pick out the front porch. I'm more of a backyard patio guy😂
Happy Friday Y’all!

Love the show Trenton just keep doing wha you do, that's what keeps thing light and easy fun to watch!! Just remember Trent when you turn around to check the shelf we can see your bald spot!!
How about a blind or a review on buzzard's roost barrel strength rye and or bourbon? Their stuff is fabulous
HAPPY PLAIDURDAY!!!!!!!

I've been seeing Old Grand Dad 114 by me lately for $22-$23 when it used to be around $30. I'm wondering what's going on there.
If you have not had Boulder Spirits cask strength, it is worth checking out. Very similar to Smokeye Hill Barrel Proof. 🥃
Make a 5 tier podium to stack first to last out of drywall 😉
You failed yourself today Trenton 😂😂😂
Weird because the best thing I’ve had
Till this day is Jack Daniels coy hill 143 proof, literally the smoothest and longest finish I’ve over had, better then 2020 KOK and rr15 for me but I have a long way to go and lots I need to try
Low proof I'll try it neat but I usually drink my whiskey on the rocks.

We need a whiskey tube event. A bottle share/blind between all the good UA-camrs. SLB, stuff and whiskey, brewzle, bourbon hunter, etc.
"For me"
yes we know its FOR YOU!
I always drink bourbon neat, but stagg is something I have to drink on a rock.
I like when my wife wears peanut butter 😋
I don't really like sour notes but I only get much if that from turkey. I do on like Ezra Brooks 99 one of my least favorite bottles of all time
Why do we spend hundreds of dollars on bottles that remind us of $2 snacks? What’s wrong with us? 😩😂
I just got a bottle of Chattanooga Whiskey Batch 039. I’ll send a sample over if you want to do a review of it. I haven’t seen any reviews on it yet
I get funky grass stains out of Wild Turkey 101..

Absolutely agree!
Whats the Trail that got bought out?
Komagatake 30 yr is the most expensive whiskey I have ever had and I hated the Smoke/Peat flavor!
By the way you described Hardin's Creek, it makes me wonder if she pulled the 2 year expression.
A little off topic but I was able to pickup (2) of the 2024 four roses LEs and I was curious what is your favorite year for the four roses LE ??
All 😂
There is a difference between hot and high proof.
238 Donnelly Keys
Is it just me .... not a fan of the black glens. I like seeing the whisky
Chefs say you eat with your eyes first so the black Glenn's probably do mess with you. It's taking away one of your senses.
I want to see blinds from someone who has never tasted neat bourbon before! The real truth about how wild turkey 101 is for starters.
(I had to drop down to BH and work up to buffalo trace).
Keep guessing
They do rum ice cream but is there a Bourbon equivalent 😊
Don't listen to the black glen haters. Its the only way to do a real blind. Seeing the color will give a hint as to age, etc. and may influence your rankings. Yes, on clear glens when not doing blinds.
