The weight thing is also a self-respect thing. Like I care about myself and honor myself and love myself to take care of my body. It also shows motivation, self control, and encouragement, and self belief. "Woe is me I got hit by a bus and have dizziness" vs doing something about it and getting help and therapy and rehab

Yeah, you gotta call a cow a cow, and that part he did about weight is a whole load of horse SHIT...
It matters, it matters a LOT. Weight changes you. You get tired faster, you are less energetic.
      IT DOES FUCKING CHANGE YOU.

I feel like I should put this out into the ether. I am captivated at the way Natalie embodied the 'Protector' side of her; the shadow emerged. It's so intriguing to see and feel the energy change and the rest of the interaction that took place.
My instinct is shouting at me that there is such a huge importance for each and every one of us in building up that dialogue and relationship between ourselves and those 'legacy systems'; a kind of rudimentary 'anti-virus' software that gets activated and takes over our lives when the environment, an event, and/or action cause it to trigger. I say rudimentary because, in my understanding, these protective mechanisms, when created, have a defined way they work and often stay in this simplistic form forever or until we do the shadow work to bring them back up and rekindle that connection. Now, when it has to do with our internal process after we reconnect to that legacy part of ourselves, I find myself struggling a bit since the process of updating that 'protector' part of ourselves back into the present in my eyes becomes very subjective.
I feel a lot of things throughout seeing this video and through the process of writing this; one of them is sadness, as personally, I witness those protective mechanisms take over my girlfriend when her anxieties and/or fears get triggered. But I have hope, hope in that she'll be able to develop the relationship between her true, free, excited self and the protective, isolationist, defeatist front that, at times, takes over her. I will come back to this video and others like it when I find myself wanting to brainstorm ways of how I could help guide my girlfriend's experience in her journey of healing, and I'll hopefully be there to see her flourish.
If you've stuck through this, thank you for reading.

    • @lovetofly32

Men shouldn't worry about wether their parents love them or not. If they do then they're still children. Inaction breeds fear and doubt. Whatever you're feeling unconfident about its because you don't face it or do it enough. Press on through your fears and you gain confidence. Confident people weren't just born with it as if it was some gift someone gave them. You have to earn it! Just like you earn strong muscles or earn someone's trust.
