  • In this video we visit Proxy Falls in the winter. This is a popular waterfall destination on the old McKenzie highway 242. From winter through early summer this highway is closed by snow and a gate. Winter waterfall seekers must travel an extra couple miles to get to the Proxy Falls trailhead. The waterfall itself is very impressive

My old stomping grounds. Lived in the McKenzie River for over 23 years. the Upper Proxy Falls is one of my most favorite places in the world. One thing you didn't mention is didn't mention in the video was that all that water runs into a small pool with no outlet!! It drains down through the lava rock and comes out miles down the mountain to form Lost Creek. Thank you for your video!!!
