Thanks very much for watching, really glad you enjoyed it, I think that's why I love doing what I do as you don't always get results but when you do the smile lasts for a while, lol.. Thanks again R 👍
Love this Richard, fantastic to see you so excited with your few hours out in the Scottish countryside. Another excellent vlog, thanks for sharing. All the best, Nick
Another brilliant day in Scotland Richard. When wildlife gets that close like the Hares it is just an amazing feeling, nothing like it. The landscape is tremendous and you finished off with some stunning images and especially love the Hares. Well done mate. Cheers Keith

Thanks John, such a wonderful spot with so many species. It is a great call and quite unusual but very distinctive, like you a nice memory from childhood. Cheers R 👍
Even on a bad weather day the Scottish countryside can still produce the goods you obviously thought so too ! On the waders your little bit of footage showed Common Snipe Richard. 👍
Hi Glenn, thanks very much for watching, like you say it really is beautiful no matter what the weather, lol... Come rain or shine its beauty always comes through... Yes, Common Snipe was a bit hard to tell at the time but great to see. Thanks again, Rich 👍
Hi Steve, thanks very much mate always appreciate you following along and for your comments. I know what you mean, I’ve been cracking on a bit but will take a break soon when the Scotland ones are all done! All the best mate 👍
Richard what a great location,so beautiful and so much wildlife to see.Your enthusiasm and excitement was so lovely I was smiling while watching you.Great photos. As always a pleasure to watch.Alison.
Hi Alison, thanks very much, it was indeed a great spot to just sit or stand ands enjoy them all around me, always get a little carried away with excitement, lol. Cheers R 👍
Hi Richard yet again another fantastic vlog photos and video footage where out standing can’t wait to get back there myself, i didn’t expect to see Curloos up around Scotland just amazing to see,the weather held up too, I’m learning so much from your videos thank you for taking the time and sharing your vlog with us.Martyn (I got my self a camera/ lens cover like you recommended brilliant bit of kit).
Hi Martyn, thanks very much for saying so pleased you are enjoying my videos and learning some things along the way, that makes it even more worth while. I know, such a beautiful and striking bird and the call among the Mountains and Hills is amazing. Nice one on the purchase, you won't regret it fantastic products from a great company. All the best R 👍
Hi Janet, thanks very much for saying and checking out the channel. Such an awesome place isn't it, just a shame its so far away from me, lol. Thanks again R 👍
Looks an amazing place Richard, I wish the hares were that chilled near me, noticed you mentioned the thumbs downs to Henry, what did they expect a gaggle of golden eagles or what, lol, loved it, all the best Mike...
It really was Mike, I think this close encounter with the Hares was a bit of luck to be honest as since then they have been quite the opposite, lol.. Yes, you always get them, some in the first 2 mins of release when they don't even watch the whole Vlog but thats the nature of Social media In guess and it doesn't really bother me, as long as the majority enjoy what I do I am happy. Thanks again mate, Richard 🙏👍
Hi Steve, thanks very much indeed for watching I really enjoyed my time in Scotland and will be heading back for sure. Fingers crossed you get there, Cheers R 👍
Hi Anthony, thanks very much for watching and leaving a comment. You are so right there, the machine gun of a camera, lol... Still I'm holding on to it for a while longer before I take the leap to the R3!! Hopefully... Cheers R 👍
Thanks very much Rene, it’s a Leica sports neoprene pouch that comes with them, handy to keep them contained when on the move. Can get you details if required. All the best R 👍
Thanks very much for watching. Sure thing, wide open at F4 my 600mm lens can appear soft and not as sharp in some long subjects so stopping down to f5.6 to f6.3 allows me to gain that bit more depth of field to retain a sharper shot. I think the sweet spot for this lens is f5.6 so unless I need to shoot at F4 for closer subjects or low light I try and stop it down a bit more. I hope that helps, all the best R 👍
Another great video Richard, as soon as I heard the introduction while you were driving and you mentioned the weather was honking I thought to myself this bloke is ex bootneck for sure.
Love watching this series Richard, sat here in hospital and loving your adventures in the cairngorms, the shot of the cerlew at 5:26 is brilliant. Question, are you shooting mainly in Aperture Priority? Cheers Ian
Hi Ian, awesome that your watching my series from Scotland! Not so good you are in hospital😒! Hope you get well soon🤞🏻👍. Thanks, great birds and such evocative calls. I shoot mainly in manual, sometimes in AV. Cheers R 👍
Hi there David, the lens cover is by lenscoat an American firm producing top products. Can be purchased by them direct or limited stock through @WexPhotoVideo. You mentioned screen cover for camera or external screen? Thanks for watching R 👍
I've lost count how many times I've had my 500mm f4 lense attached and the wildlife comes so close you can't get the shot, thats how it goes. By the way, what brand is that jacket? Looks good and I need to replace my dpm smock.
Hi Jon, that is very true but thankfully most of the time it fits the bill! lol.... Its a Fjallraven Anorak No 8 ,amzn.to/2UgUWx3 not the cheapest but such great quality and so hard wearing. Cheers and thanks again R 👍
