i straight up know the feeling from the cliff jumping one. "i wonder what it would feel like to jump off" "i wonder what it would feel like to stick the knife in the socket..." and many more throughout my life the human curiosity of death
*Sees title* *Ears start to itch* I shouldn't. I shouldn't. It's bad for you. Ears are self-cleaning... argh! *finds a cue-tip* LOL. The call of the void freaked me out so much when I was little. It was a relief when I found out it's universal and doesn't mean I'm suicidal.
@@seatbelttruck That sucks. It’s only hit me once when I was up high, specifically 40 feet up in the air in a pine tree. It basically told me: I wonder what would happen if I jumped from this height? The other time was when I was whittling and had a razor-sharp double-edged knife in my hand.
Ahh, a Qtip to the ear... Feels like you're trying to crank-start your brain like a Model T. Glorious. And I feel you with the void thing... I get like that sometimes, and I'm terrified of heights!
There is an entire medical specialty based on cleaning ears because they aren’t properly self cleaning. We’ve yet had a (completely) safe consumer ear flusher come out either. Hilariously, a more likely to end up leaving stuff in your ear cotton swab is used by Ear, Nose and Throat doctors.
Holy shit! Other people actually get that weird random urge to jump off of ledges too!? I honestly thought that was just a me thing... which, come to think about it actually raises way more questions about our collective sanity....
Humans evolved from apes that jumped from tree to tree to get where they wanted. Nothing particularly astonishing about that urge still being around ... 🤷♂️
I feel like being able to fly after jumping off a cliff means something different than if a human were to give in to the impulse of jumping off a cliff..

I assumed he jumped off the cliff into a body of water, with the Winged caught off guard and too terrified to detach himself.

How many times has it hit you?
@@sol-leksthewolf5854 Pretty much whenever I'm up high.

Not giving in to an impulse to do something dangerous/deadly is a mark of sapience? I wonder what Darwin would think of that.

Anyone get the significance of this TFOS number? No? Just me?
Short Human is sad.
I think the number is the order he made them.
It does have significance...though as a Discordian, I feel it is less significant than 5525.
