I’m looking for a better way than buckets. And we have about 20 tree. I’ll be able to get about a 15 foot slope from beginning to end tree it’s about a 200 foot run. What size tubing for the mainline and for the tap lines would you suggest. Thanks
If you have 15 feet of available slope on a 200-foot run, we would recommend 3/16” tubing. This system would not require a mainline because of limited number of taps. Hope this helps!
Question: The end of line hook that's on the first tree . The sap will come down the drop line through the line hook and then has to wrap around the tree then down the line ? Also looked on the site you don't make the same end of line hook for 3/16 ?
Now try that in Feb with 2' of snow on the ground and frozen line.
That's why you install it before winter and then you just have to tap the trees and the sap goes into the tubing that's ready to receive it!
