Would look for unique stuff and cookbooks and when my dad was alive he had us look for items he could put into another work of art thanks for sharing this 💠💮💠
Paula, I'm 77, too. I love to cook but I'm now an invalid and bedridden most of every day. I can't cook anymore so I get much joy in watching you cook those wonderful recipes.
I am so happy to hear that I am not the only one reading cookbooks like a novel!! My best finds are my vintage collection of fake diamond brooch pins, Husqvarna Lily sewing machine, and a Kitchen Aid mixer that I got for $6.99!!
I loved this episode. My mom lived in Palm Beach, Florida and we loved rummage and estate sales too! My mother would get so excited she'd jump out and leave the car running. 😄
Oh dear, Paula is and will always be my favorite! I hope when my children empty our ho e one day that someone enjoys my old cookbooks as much as I have. Our culture is getting slim on those wonderful handed down traditiin, note and memories. Digital items just don’t hold the same value and can be deleted in an instant. Lovely seeing you Miss Paula XO
My condolences to you friend on the loss of her parents, I've lost my father, young brother and mother within the past year. It's been a complete devastating for my family and I. I wish I lived close to being able to attend this beautiful State Sale, and absolutely love that KitchenAid! And O my word! That Baby sitting on the Bed is TOO ADORABLE!!!❤️
I also received my Better Homes & Gardens Cookbook as an 18 yr old bride in 1978. It is still my favorite, Ms. Paula! The cover & pages are stained &:edges are tattered, but It oozes love & memories &; is indispensable at Holiday time. I actively search for vintage copies at yard sales &:thrift stores to give as gifts for showers, graduations & housewarmings. I often add a note with a few of my favorites recipes (and my "adjustments") noted.
I attend estate sales and then I am sad for the rest of the day. I always will buy a kitchen item when I use it remember what house it belonged to glad it is getting a second life.
I love church cookbooks or women's club cookbooks. I have one of my mother's that my aunt gave my mother one year for Christmas. My aunt wrote in it, Merry Christmas, Aunt Annis, December, 1962. I really do cherish it so much. I get tears every time I think about it. I used to always buy cookbooks when I was working and someone would come in selling them. My mother used to give me a very hard time, but she loved them too. I look in them often for good recipes. A great video.
My favorite books to read are cookbooks and I have all of yours that I got from my mother after she passed. She was always so excited to receive your cookbooks and one of our favorite recipes is where you wrap a cube of cream cheese in a biscuit, roll it in the sugar and nuts, put in the Bundt pan and topped with orange juice and orange zest. Luscious! Thanks for taking us along on this fun video Paula. You are a sweetie lady!❤
I used to collect cookbooks, after the 3rd move I had to give many away. Church cookbooks are wonderful as well as hometown cookbooks. This is a lovely home, so many items I would cherish. Praying for the family losing their parents is losing the center of your family.
I love yard sales, estate sales, auctions and consignment stores! So much fun. I love those mushroom cannisters! They came from Sears back when we use to get a catalogue. I have been able to find a piece here and there, but have not ran across the whole set. I would have to have bought that! Check out the glasses with the silver monogram! My mom still has hers in the hutch! Love that you share your life outside the kitchen with us. It's so fun!
I to love love love estate sales and Yard sales.. Would give anything to attend this beautiful estate sale Soo many beautiful keepsakes and All the other treasures I see through this phone.. Sorry for the loss of your precious parents..Soo many beautiful memories of years gone by when you go through All those precious items that parents keep for years...
Great video. There was so much stuff to look at. I wanted more time and to see some of the price tags! Thanks for bringing me along to the estate sale. It’s a favorite pastime of mine! 😘
👋♥️🙏♥️👋Love yard and estate sales. Used to do them all the time. Im also 77 since March. My age is taking a toll on my running around asking days. Still like watching them on other platforms. Have fun for me too Miss Paula. 👋♥️🙏♥️👋 Jennifer
I had two Madame Alexander dolls, and Mama bought them FOR me to play with. My first and littlest and favorite one, Allison, is worn slap out! My brother even ripped he arm off! She was put in the attic, and the SC heat nearly melted her hair off. But, I put in pin curls under her bonnet and she sits on the bed in my spare bedroom with her larger and a bit less worn out sister! They were the only dolls I had, so they were my sidekicks. We lived out in the boondocks, I was a tomboy, and no one else lived within miles. They rode the tractors, gocarts, and little fishing boats with me! And, on Sunday, I scrubbed 'em off, and away we went all girlied up to church! I'm 52 now ... I had and still have so much love for those babies! May God bless every memory of your parents through the little things that remain.
I remember those mushroom sets😊 My last parent passed last December and the estate sale in march ripped me apart inside. It was done ( not my choice) by a horrid person whom was degrading my parents items upon walk through….seems he preferred junk according to him. It killed me that valuable items and years of pinching pennies by my mom to buy things of value was treated like junk, sold for nothing. No respect. It was a part of who they were…it was hard to deal with. I cleaned everything for days before the sale and I’m telling you I was constantly balling my eyes out. I feel for the family. Sorry I went on….but loved the ride along! ❤️
I got bad sick 2 years ago & thought I was not going to pull thru. I quickly packed up 40 years of treasures & collectibles & furniture that I paid dearly for in antique malls/estate/yard sales & drove them to Goodwill in countless pickup runs over a few months time, crying with each drop off. Ashamed at how many plates I owned, most stayed in cabinets never seeing the light of day. If I could tell my 20 year old self one thing it would be to not spend money on stuff. Truly you can't take it with you & nobody in the family wants to deal with it when you are gone.
At first I thought that sweet baby sitting on the bed was a "doll"? How adorable, did you know he was there? Hahaha! love estate sales! I would love to see you give some tours of Savannah! Maybe of your favorite places to visit?
Good morning Paula 🙋♀️ Enjoyed the video, haven't been to an estate sale yet, but I do love garage sales ❤😊 Thanks for sharing ❤️❤️😊 Have a great day ❤️❤️😊
What a nice experience. I found an autographed book by Paula. Have it to my mother in law for Christmas. Your pumpkin roll with cream cheese icing is amazing.
I love yard saling I have been since I was probably 10 my mama could find a bargain. We hit them early and got the best goodies. It was like a race to her. Miss that woman. That looks like a wonderful sale. Estate sales are fun but I always feel bad digging through someones stuff who is no longer there. I always apologize and say a little prayer. My mama would let me miss school if there was going to be a good sale. Fun times. And we spent a lot of time at flea markets. Thank you for sharing with us.
I'm so happy to see you Ms Paula you look absolutely beautiful! Cooking and estate sales both my favorite things wrapped up in one awesome Lady. thank you for sharing your videos! God bless you Ms Paula
Love the classic 1970’s traditional style home! Enjoy life and material things while we’re here. We can’t take them with us! People are so casual today. Fifty years ago instead of jeans and sneakers, those women would be wearing dresses and heels. Too bad couldn’t Paula visit “tomorrow”…(18:10) She could’ve went and bought some things to help the cause…
Wonderful video. I am so sorry for the loss of your dear friend and Sherry's parents. Loved seeing all the incredible collections of kitchen items. I said out loud, "I could SO move in there AS IS!" I was a chef in the film industry for 20 years in Canada and found great joy in seeing all the wonderful things. I am curious, you spoke of family having a toy store. I have been on a hunt for the Madame Alexander doll I had as a child and have yet to find her (long story as to why I have nothing for my childhood) and wondered if they may have her, in the collection you mentioned they still have. Bless you, all the gloriousness you have created for us all to enjoy, recreate, and share with loved ones. If you are willing to share their information, I would be internally grateful 🙏. Bless you and your family. Love you Paula.
♥️♥️♥️Love love love this video. Miss my Mom & going to estate sales…yard sales.Sending love hugs prayers and kindness with a daily dose of encouragement…♥️🙏🏼🌹👍🏼
I'm glad others commented on the baby because hooked like a doll. So precious! I'doved to have gone to that sale! I wanted some cookbooks and that covered blueberry pie dish! Hahaha you don't see covered pie dishes no more. Paula you didn't really get to shop though and that's not right
I love this video! What I loved the most was that baby on the bed. The baby looked like a DOLL and then it moves at the end of the video that freaked me out lol. 🤣😂
I love to watch estate sales on UA-cam. If it was possible I would love to have the peacock pictures that are in the kitchen. So pretty stuff in that kitchen!!
Hi Paula I am a huge fan of yours and I have been to your resturant in Pigion Forge TN and Paula I love estate sales Yard sales and flea markets. Cheri
I love Estate Sales. I go every week and don’t mind a good digger sale. I found a box of chintz Scalamandré drapes in the garage for five dollars and Victorian Easter eggs. The lady that runs the sale offered me a job due to my superior digging skills. I told her when I retire that would be my dream job. ❤
I loved this! Would have loved seeing more in the kitchen...less chit chat. This was a great idea!! Maybe take us with you to places around Savannah that is off the beaten path we usually don't see when we all come to our favorite city!!

What's your favorite yard sale or estate sale find?
I always look for cookbooks, jewelry and unique items. Sometimes furniture if I’m in the market for a special piece.

Beautiful home. Someone will love her mother's treasures and they will never have a new lease of life. ❤
I was wondering if that's a real baby on the bed or a high quality doll. It blinked 😂
Me too!! I'm waiting for him tumble right off! 😂
I loved this episode. My mom lived in Palm Beach, Florida and we loved rummage and estate sales too! My mother would get so excited she'd jump out and leave the car running. 😄
I can't believe how quiet and still that baby sat there on that bed.
This lady had wonderful possessions and exquisite taste.
