- come to an estate sale in LA with me! 🏡💰 (designer, vintage, and more!) i spur of the moment went to an estate sale inside the most gorgeous LA mansion and had a blast going through their amazing collection of vintage clothing, designer, jewelry, shoes, art, antiques, home decor, furniture, and more! i woke up at 4:30am for this, and it was honestly SO worth it. one of my favorite ways to spend a friday morning! make sure you stay til the end for a midsize / plus size / size 16 try on thrift haul! hope you enjoy xoxoxo

for the rainbow house dress:
1. before you cut the sleeves, wear it once styled open like a long jacket with that white tube top and denim shorts and strappy sandals or your cowboy boots. add gold jewelry to make it sleek and wear your amazing red glasses. boom.
2. after you've worn it that way, chop it to boxy cropped tee length.
i have so many of these house dresses and LOVE cutting them into funky little blouses to wear with cutoffs and cowboy boots but could totally see you rocking it with a black mini and loafers w/socks too!

I think the chairs were honestly a decent deal - it's so easy to spent 40$ + on a chair "today," but the ones you found are vintage and I'm sure the quality is IMPECCABLE. Plus since they are vintage they will hold their value 🫶

Carrie ❤ I’ve been watching you for years as a fellow mid-size girlie but with a very different style. And I can 1000% say that your clowncore dress is one of the first dips of your toe into “high fashion” dressing. Like the vogue girlies in New York would wear it in a heartbeat styled up in the Hamptons. As long as you love it and wear it proudly you can never go wrong. Fashion is objective, let the clown out!

the rainbow dress is MEANT to be turned into a little two piece set- a top and lil shorts. you could always send it over to kathleen illustrated to style clown core and/or make into a funky two piece!

This house reminded me of my Grandmas house! She had so much fun wallpaper.. and one room where the wallpaper matched the curtains and the bed set. Idk how she did it, but she DID IT.

Loved this video! I sell vintage hard goods/decor and was so excited to see such a variety of fun quirky stuff among the higher end stuff. That's pretty much what I pick up to sell(I keep a lot of the quirky stuff for myself!). I agree with thinking that when we are gone our own estate sales will be quite similar. For me I hope that people get a little giggle out of my personal taste and wonder how it all works together ^_^ Thank you for sharing your trip to such a cool house

Model’s Coat made robes I think. These were popular for around the house back in the 60’s and 70’s. My Mom had one. I think it would look cute without the sleeves!
