Just a updated, As of today the 7 July 2021, I have heard nothing back from the national monuments. Nor have I heard from anyone who has the the mains nor the equipment to investigate.
I myself am dealing with health issues, but just wanted to let interested people know I haven't forgotten this , in any way shape or form and am still thinking of ways to investigate more.
    Regards Mick

Plenty of tasty brown trout especially manor Kilbride down to Poulaphuca. And crayfish in the banks. I was fishing the lisheen down towards manor k when i met two lovely french mademoiselle, who asked for line, bait (un peche?, pour le?) And they pulled wool from their jumper's, teased the wool out and wrapped the trout head in it, tying the head with monofil through the jaw, cast it and were almost immediately pulling in freshwater crayfish. Ahhh those girl's from France!. ♥️🇨🇵☘️♥️🇮🇪♥️

Very good, I'm from that place, as are my parents. My Ma took the ferry over to Mt Sackville to school in the late 40s early 50s.

Thank you very much. That is some wonderful history, must have make for a fun trip back and forth from school for your mum.
Were you aware of this under the water? Or have you heard of any bridge that once existed? I was told I may found something in the Guinness records ,how ever I have not been able to locate any.

Fascinating to me..only in that exact spot this morning..regularly there with the horses. I've never noticed it from the bank.. it does look like footings for a Bridge. but you'd imagine such a bridge would be more widely known about..Ill take a dip tomorrow 💦🏊‍♀️.. 👍

So many of us have been by and didn't notice it,even on Google maps , that part of the map is darker than the City ,so it's not noticed.
Speaking of the horses, did you see me jump,🤣🤣🐴🐴
I've brought apples to the horses there, it was probably calling me,hey guy where is my apple🤣🤣
They go in that spot for a drink too

The Liffey Through The Old "Gallagher Estate" Is Interesting. We Entered, '83 or '84, out past Sallin's, a long ride on a bike with a buckled wheel. Gallagher's "Security" caught us one time......2 fella's and the 3rd, the boss was a 30 yr old American Gal. Interesting as, we got to meet Mr Gallagher the Richest Man In Ireland and.......tell him about the River, what lived in it, its health and about the cast iron rotunda by the shore and the wee bridge that crossed the river, a shambles in '85!!!!!!!.

Looks like the base of a bridge. I only live down the road. If I had have known about it back in 2021 I would have taken the canoe down. (I was never fooled by the fake Konvid scam)

Looks like it may be a concrete base for a bridge....the bow ls too sharp looking for a boat ..

I done a second video of it. It's man-made alright and it's stone, one end is damaged, I too think it's the base for a Bridge. One end is damaged . I think it was swapped away by water or never finished. There was a ferry crossing there for years just a boat pulled across the river by rope and hand. I couldn't find any reference or record of it ,I reported it to the OPW,they said they will investigate it but to date have not. So still no answer as yet

Really intrigued now that I know the location. I might have suggested that it was to a later addition to the weir to split the current and channel the water over it more evenly but the pointy end is facing the wrong way for that. I've sent a message to a local historian asking for help. He might know. Thanks.

That's a great idea, please let me know if he has any ideas.
I think both ends may have been pointed, but one end could be damaged, perhaps hit by a tree?
To be honest I am unsure as yet

It's a coffin, they wanted to be buried at sea but the family couldn't afford it so this was the next best thing🤣🤣🤣
