Good to see review in English that is not from from American viewpoint. American youtubers is one of the reasons why Samsung got away with Exynos for so long. They all just review SD version and most people outside of the US may not even be aware that a phone in their country is different compared to what they saw reviewed on UA-cam.

    • @Awaks
      @Awaks 5 місяців тому

So what was the point of this comment exactly?
Did you watch the video, or did you just come here to go on a tangent & yap?
Since you cared so much about these American reviewers Mr, what was you take away from the video?
Or would you just rather talk nonsense, and then not actually talk about the results in front of you? Surely, someone like you would care a lot about what the Non-American reviewer has shown us, right?
Pffft....Who am I kidding? Ofc you only had a take away when it's a Snapdragon 24ultra 😂😂. Man, you absolute hypocrites are so fascinating.
Feign tech saviness, yet no quality is ever displayed. Except the fake ones ofc.
He's always been good, but clearly, you need him for other reasons. Sad really

Thank you!! you sir is one of the few here who actually address the concern we have regarding exynos SOC. Please do continue testing this exynos for its battery, performance, thermal etc for weeks even months to come. it will give us more clear idea how this exynos really perfoms and also maybe clear all doubt for consumer doubting to purchase exynos over SD . Great job!!!

You've massively put my mind at ease with the Exynos. I actually ordered a OnePlus 12 and kept telling myself it was the right choice because of the better internals, faster charging, a little cheaper etc but I just absolutely hate screens with curved edges. It's been gnawing at me ever since 😂 But I watched a few videos and came across yours and I decided to cancel the OP12 and have just ordered the S24+. I think I'd rather have a phone with (slightly) compromised internals for the sake of not having to deal with a screen with curved edges. Appreciate what you do with these videos, many thanks!

@@TechTroppy yeah, I'm trying to decide on a new phone and there doesn't seem to be a consensus on this lol. I've seen some worrying videos where the exynos S24+ dims the screen during games or any high consuming application, because of high temperatures, and if that is an issue with all exynos versions then it's not good at all.

I was also waiting for the S24+, but as soon as it was released with Exynos, I purchased the S23 Ultra without a second thought. I was using S10+ before this. I can see the difference between Exynos and Snapdragon. Snapdragon is a name for a reason. My S10+ used to drain 10-15% of the battery at night for 8 hours of sleep. The same has come down to just 1% in S23. Speed is on another level (though I am comparing old Exynos with semi-latest Snapdragon), but 0.5x animations on S10+ feel like 5x animations on this S23 Ultra.

While I agree that software updates will improve the Exynos' performance, software cannot overcome the fundamental issue of Samsung's nanometer process being inferior in performance, density, and efficiency. OS updates will lower the gap, but will not match 8 Gen 3 this generation.

I am seriously considering upgrading from my S22+ (snapdragon) after being burnt by the S20 Ultra Exonys disaster (hot, sluggish, battery draining) I'm super concerned about going back to the dark side, but you are slowly convincing me it's an absolute improvement.

The issue is this. Exynos 2400 may be better than previous exynos chips. BUT it's not as good as Snapdragon 8 gen 3! This has been shown over and over again. The problem is why should we in the exynos regions get the raw end of the deal? It doesn't matter if exynos is only .5 of a percent behind Snapdragon or 10 percent. It's behind! And we pay the same. And if history is anything to go by. Snapdragon improved during its time where exynos tend to get worse with updates. We don't want 2 different chips. It's not fair. We should all get the same chip in all areas. If Samsung didn't pick up on how pleased everyone was to be getting Snapdragon with the s23 range to then crap on us with exynos the following year. To be honest I'm not interested in how close exynos is this year. If I'm to use exynos I want it to be on par or better than Snapdragon. Not even .5 percent behind. Or Samsung charges us less for the worse performance. I will not use exynos until it's better than Snapdragon. And I can't see that happening anything soon.

      S24+ if your budget allows.
I'm still very happy with the S24+ to this day even with the crazy Malaysian weather.

@NasiLemakTech @NasiLemakTech in Malaysia you got 3xC in temperature so you gonna experience the heating on it do you face that or not ? I'm not a heavy gamer user so I will play just for 1hour or 30min when I want I just want to know if this device can holding for years with same performance and optimization every update or not ? Because exynos is bad at this point after years you'll get horrible performance, so what's your advice should add 50-75usd approx and buy it or should I stay with my final decision which is s23plus, I like the s24plus but the problem is that and which I like on it is 12gb ram and 7 years os

Great Review Kok kee... Have been using Samsung Galaxy S series since they launched S10 series. Have already bought the S24 plus with exynos 2400 as pointed out i agree that the display could have been better @QHD+... This display was available when they launched s6 egde and the screen looked way too beautiful... Also Samsung has been using different camera sensors on the Galaxy Devices either their home grown isocell or Sony IMX sensor... With my personal experience Sony sensor has always been better than Samsung.. Do let us know which sensor the snapdragon variant uses since 24 plus exynos is using isocell... So far it's my day 2 with the phone is working great with good battery life...
Will only know better with time as to which phone perform better in the long run!
    Regards

people are too choosy, even my s21+ is performing well with Exynos 2100. Not every benchmark should relate to gaming. If you are a normal user, don't even bother about the chipset for the top 3 S series. The FE versions are the problem, in fact they got heating problems on normal usage. S21 FE absolutely scuks. But I feel oneui 6 is a bit more battery consuming and uglier with that gray notification shade instead of previously dark. Don't know what samsung was thinking.

I have the s23 ultra is it worth trading it to s24 plus? The plus is an exynos variant here in the Philippines so I can't really decide.

One of the biggest problems of exynos is that most games or emulators will not support it well. Snapdragon is used by many phones, and there is little incentive to do that for exynos.
So even if the performance is good, a lot of games will not optimize and you will get worse experience. If you don't use those, you will be fine mostly

The issue with exynos for me is not that much the raw performance (though that's still a big issue), it's the optimisation for it, on snapdragon you're always getting a well optimised app. If you are a developer, with a limited time and resources, what are you going to spend it on? Making sure it works on the processor that is in most phones, or the one that is only on Samsung phones(and then only in some of them)

How about the sound and mic? I've heard/seen a lot of negative comments about it.

Very honest review. But i can't trust Exynos still. I am using s21 with Exynos and the chipset is the main reason i am switching phone now. It lags a lot when used in outdoor or sunlight, battery backup is worst and heating issue is there. Was waiting for s24+ but Exynos disappointed me and going for op12 with 8gen3
