  • In this full-length interview, Kato Kaelin, who would become a key witness in the highly publicized "OJ Simpson-Nicole Brown" trial, spoke about his upbringing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and his initial move to Hollywood in pursuit of a career in entertainment or professional baseball. He recalled meeting Nicole Brown Simpson soon after her divorce from OJ and how the two became really good friends after their first time meeting.

I met Kato back in the early 2000’s and hung out with him for a night. He was absolutely awesome to hang out with, great guy. Very honest and genuine. The ladies flocked to him but he really didn’t seem to be arrogant about it. I tried not to bring up the OJ stuff but my friend, after many alcoholic beverages, couldn’t resist and just asked him if he thought OJ was guilty or innocent, his reply “guilty”

don't be lying bub, kato is a low life pos who allowed oj to get off with murder. Don't forget it was kato's meth habit that led oj to use speed and commit the murders of ron and nicole. The night of the murders, kato and oj went to burger king to get meth from an infamous drug dealer named jr and his sidekick ron x. Kato tried to claim he never did a drug in his life, bs. That is how he knew faye resnick and all the other druggies in that cirlce. Kato was the biggest leech in hollywood and the biggest tweaker as well. look at his testimony at the oj trial and he is jawboning all the time during the testimony, showing what a tweaker he was.

I lived in the San Fernando Valley for many decades. Then, I was always hearing about all the crap Hollywood celebrities got away with.
OJ Simpson was a celebrity, especially if you are big fan of football and black. He was a hero to them. He could do no wrong.
Now, he's in court accused of butchering 2 innocent ppl. One he had a known history of abuse with. But this was LA. Site of the Rodney King beating. Virtually all black ppl, especially in LA took that personally. LA cops had quite a bad reputation. There was simmering hatred between cops & black residents in LA.
Johnny Cochran knew he could play up to those black jurors all those emotions he knew they had. And he did.
Both Marcia & Chris repeatedly failed to do the right things in this case. There was vital evidence they left out completely! Chris was warned the glove was going to blow up in their faces but entered it into evidence, anyways.
Then there is that egotistical moron in a black robe, Judge Ito who let fraternizing between the jurors & OJ occur in court! WTF. That's cause for a mistrial, so who dropped that ball??
Black LA residents outside the courtroom cheered when the verdict was read. We all knew only one person had motive, had the violent history and that was black ppl's "hero," OJ. There was a lot of projection from them when he was set free.
When ppl are filled with strong negative emotions, all facts and truth don't matter anymore.

@@wilcoxdaniel9825If you knew anything about a narcissistic and/or sociopath you would understand it's typical behavior. Add in domestic abuse that occurred for yrs. You get O.J. who doesn't care about anyone but himself. Domestic abusers kill when they realize they have lost control over the abused. A sociopath only cares about their self always. The only thing that matters is their wants & needs. Kids in their mind are extensions of them and therefore are nothing more than that. He isn't capable of love. There are 100's of domestic violence reported daily in US. So many more never reported. The abuser knows they can do whatever and get away with it. By the time the abused realize they have almost died several times and they need to get out, it is often to late. The most dangerous time in an abusive situation is when the abused leave. The abuser losing control of the victim they can't handle. The kids being in the house where they could find her body when they woke up mattered not to OJ. He abused her in front of the kids their whole lives. If he was worried about the kids he would not have abused her continually in front of them. The screaming, the threats, the beatings the kids were there during a lot of this too. They were not important to him. He and he only is all that he did then and still now cares about. Unfortunately domestic abuse and murder is not occasional or once in a while it happens daily all over the US. Sadly the US is not exclusive in this by a long shot. Research what I have said and you will see the truth. While you might never think it ok to kill a mom with the kids in the house is one thing. OJ does not think like you proven time & time again through his actions.

Fantastic interview. Crazy story. Thank you for revisiting this case with Kato. He seems very genuine. I was working as a domestic violence counselor at the time of the murder. O.J. checked every box for being a possibly murderous offender including having a pile of incriminating evidence against him. I thought he did the crime and this interview reaffirmed that.

I’m glad he is doing well and has found his way remember hosting the SONNY and CHER show Brian?

I wonder if Kato Kaelin ever thought for one second what would have happened had he walked in on the killing of Nicole or Ron. No way OJ would have let him live.
And walking in on the killings could very likely have happened given where Kato was living in OJs backyard.
Really, I think Kato is lucky to be alive.

WOW...That must be a line OJ used on blonde, hot girls. My old roommate in Hollywood and I used to go out and we would always see him at the clubs. He told my roommate the same thing! He said,"You are sooo beautiful, you remind me so much of my wife". She HATED him! It was a vibe he put off that came through his fake, nice persona. I didn't buy his nice act either. He wasn't into my Kate Mossish body and look.. He liked voluptuous blondes, a little insecure but beautiful and with full booties! My petite French vibe put him off, Thank God! So glad you didn't fall for him! I could not believe the women that lined up to be his next wife after the trial.. it was sick. They would stand outside his gate and just wait for him to drive out. He picked one almost immediately,it didn't last more than a couple of months. He started hitting her and she ran for the Hollywood Hills!

@@piaparadis1253 WOW indeed! Thank you for your post. OJ had the makings of being another Ted Bundy. Many said they were both good looking and charming but I never saw anything "attractive" nor "charming" about either one of them. I'm glad your friend didn't feel capivated by him and only repulsion as I did. I don't have hate in my heart and my instinct told me to be aloof to his now "worn out, fake compliment" referring to his wife. The women you say who were standing outside his gate are sad wannabe's with shallow and hollow dreams. It is inevitable they will sadly find out the hard way that life in "Hollyweird" is not so glamorous, safe nor wholesome. Again, thank you for posting your story Pia.
