Some kind of insane gauntlet in the part that leads down to the last boss room. I'm thinking the raid in the centre part and some kind of lightning wall closes up behind us and slowly chases the raid. There will be normal packs of mobs with the mines and the robots that go immune plus new mobs on the top levesl that ranged have to take out. Maybe a new Alarm bot boss at the end.
I didn’t even think about mount drops. Hot damn slam that mechanospider button. Even the white and black strider is badass. I was excited before but now just thinking of the possibilities. Hyped.
I’m so excited for phase 2!! But god do I despise Gnomer… I was devastated to see that Gnomer was going to be the raid. I hated the dungeon, and to know that we’ll be clearing this damn thing every 3 days or so is haunting my dreams 😭
I think the team did well to pick less popular dugeons to convert into raids in the early phases. I think BFD is a great raid, but was really weak in classic. Hopefully Gnomer will get the same treatment. The bosses could be really cool with actual mechanics, the dungeon is big enough to have epic set piece fights.
As much as Gnomeregan is a ok choice for a raid I really think they missed a huge opportunity to make Scarlet Monastery the level 40 bracket end raid. The potential are just limitless and that could have been so epic.
I agree! I think the challenge was turning 3 dungeons into 3 raids. While taking gnomergon out for leveling is painful removing 3 dungeons would be worse.
I want that eletrical helm scaled up, it was an aoe farming gem for prot paladins. Surely can can work something awsome with that item along thosw lines, to allow melee some more aoe dmg

I'm expecting Engineers and Alchemists to get craftable trinkets, Gnomergan is really techy (engineers) and full of those slimes (alchemy related?), plus both professions already have craftable trinkets in their "lore".

SM is gonna be so farmed and burnt out going from 30-40. To have it return as a 50 raid would be a little too redundant. BRD is really the key. It’d be a lot of work for them, but dam that’d be epic. Can’t wait for gnomergan
If SM is available in phase 2 then it won't be a 50 raid, so there will be the answer right off the bat. I did think SM raid at 50 was a bit weird too, yes they could scale it up, but it would make more sense to do a scarlet version at 60 in EPL. Sunken temple makes more sense for sure at 50, BRD would be a 60 revamped dungeon, they won't raid that for sure, there are too many other options at 60 to play with.
people forget that in original wow, gnomergan was designed to a be a city but then they decided to do a raid, but that did get scrapped. And we got a dungeon instead. This is very good nod to old devs and also what they said they would do, maybe using old ideas what never came to retail. Thats why gnomergan is so huge. Pretty sure they used some of the textures from development to the Iron Forge gnome section and deeprun tram, what they intented to gnomergan.
Also they might have improved engineering recipes since some dropped from last boss. Maybe some new goggles like future expansions of each armor class?

Everyone talked about how SoD is supposed to be like classic plus, but apart from a raid each phase and the runes, nothing has really changed. I'd like to see them implement other stuff. Maybe mechanics or features from other expansions that really added to the game and were well received.

No, thats on the other side of Iron Forge. Iron Forge was going to be mush larger in vanilla but they scaled it back as it was to big. If anything they should use that old IF for a Grim Batol raid.
i guarantee that there will be an epic version of the automated crowed pummler , possibly involving a profession to upgrade it, perhaps hydrocane will also see a change and be bis for frost mages since they were so bad in phase 1, and if they are gonnna drop mounts i hope they do the mecha tanks idc how goofy it looks ive always wanted one of the original mecha tanks to be a mount.
Loot is nice and fine, but first i would like to know how they plan for the Horde to enter the Instance. Always running that long way from the nearest Horde Base is annyoing 🙂

I kinda thought they would make it some kind of set with the swimspeed ring from BFD. Next raid we another piece of swim gear and by 60 we have a full swimsuit set.
Gnomer is up there with Mara for my least favourite classic dungeon. Scarlet Monastery would have been really cool considering they could have linked all 4 into one major run where you go from the graveyard to the barracks, lib and then cath for the final portion. It would have taken some work but its such a missed opportunity for discovery. Gnomer just seems like the safer/easier route by comparison.

While I can understand if we don't get SM as a raid, as it might cause us to lack dungeons at lvl 40 and it might just be too many bosses, it also seems like a huge missed opportunity. At the very least I hope for Uldaman as a second raid, but I just don't think we will see two raids in phase 2. At the end of the day, it is classic style raids, so it is simple fights. As such, if I do not like the theme of the raid, it's a huge deal. I'm sure I'll have fun in phase 2, but phase 3 is really what I look forward to. Zul'Farrak, Maraudon, Sunken Temple and Blackrock Depths are all fun dungeons, and I'd be happy with any of those as a raid.

I loved BFD, but I am so so so so so frustrated with the drop rates. I have run all lockouts except 2 and my feral druid has never seen the head or chest tier set drop. Even if it drops, we compete with rogues and hunters for the same set. Blizzard needs to fix this in phase 2. It is making me want to quit.

@@onetime1337 well thing is even w/o much credit deep wounds rn is like 30% of dmg if not more cause of double dipping or w.e. Rend is insignificant as is. So dropping 30% from dw and getting as much from deep fury talents would most likely be net 0. So warriors might not jump as much as one would expect looking at logs now. But it’s all assumptions without knowing loot/runes/mechanics
@@shodan785 with warriors having completely broken scaling,and them ALREADY having trouble dumping rage, i just dont see any normal scenario where they would move in the rankins. they might get competition if other classes with hyper scaling get specific runes(fire mages getting cooldowns to make very big ignites,or hunters getting steadyshot so they can make use of rapidfire). the class is just fundamentally broken unless some other class gets new beneficial bugs or some fiasco eg hunter pets prenerf. and that is assuming they keep mechanicals immune to bleed ofc,if not arms might be crazy too

BFD was not one of my favorite dungeons but the raid ended up good and they also teased something for SM. I also kinda don't mind missing gnomer for leveling.
You been MIA the last several months? BlizzCon announcement already heavily implied BFD (25), Gnomer (40), SM (50), and Kara (60) is the raid roadmap. Proof you’d rather bitch than read. They’re tying up the major loose end storylines from Classic that never saw the light of day or never saw their payoff. Given the context surround Xal’atath appearing in SoD, Twilight rumblings in BFD, Thermaplugg’s connections to the Dark Irons and therefore Twilight factions it makes a hell of a lot more sense contextually. Naturally it’ll lead us to SM as we’ve already had plenty of lore surrounding Light and Void with the Scarlet Crusade being the antithesis to the Twilight while working towards similar evil ends - before we trek into the Plaguelands, and Kara will likely serve as the narrative thread as it can manipulate space and time just as CoT in many respects. The foundational stories we’re getting here serve as a platform for the retail trilogy story they’re moving forward with in Metzen’s tutelage.
So far SoD has only disappointed, i won't even continue play if devs continue on this course. Ignoring players nor fixing anything, only balancing hunters, bfd too easy. Not much discovery and now we are awaiting p2 and no mention of it

I've had some weird drops in BFD for sure. I've seen the xbow 5 or 6 times now, sword once, staff once.

bleed /poison classes in shambles thinking about gnomer. They would be total idiots to make anything but weapons epic.
The biggest hit is to warriors but they are top dps rn so I think we might see a meta change. Low-key would like to see casters pull up next phase

@@shodan785 warriors are going to most likely be fury,which actually has no access to deepwounds at lvl 40, and rend doesnt scale so very unlikely we will use it anymore. warriors not going to be going anywhere lol
@@onetime1337 well thing is even w/o much credit deep wounds rn is like 30% of dmg if not more cause of double dipping or w.e. Rend is insignificant as is. So dropping 30% from dw and getting as much from deep fury talents would most likely be net 0. So warriors might not jump as much as one would expect looking at logs now. But it’s all assumptions without knowing loot/runes/mechanics
@@shodan785 with warriors having completely broken scaling,and them ALREADY having trouble dumping rage, i just dont see any normal scenario where they would move in the rankins.
they might get competition if other classes with hyper scaling get specific runes(fire mages getting cooldowns to make very big ignites,or hunters getting steadyshot so they can make use of rapidfire).
the class is just fundamentally broken unless some other class gets new beneficial bugs or some fiasco eg hunter pets prenerf.
and that is assuming they keep mechanicals immune to bleed ofc,if not arms might be crazy too

BFD was shit, it was an old dungeon with a couple new boss mechanics... its boring after the 2nd pass (20 years and thats all we got)
Gnomer will be the same sadly, at least its not an overdone dungeon so new scenery will be nice
why isnt gomer map being changed slightly?, why cant they add in new dungeon mechanics? and change some of the mobs?, why isnt there a challenge room? like BRD's torch run>?

Nah hard miss here. Gnomer was probably the worst dungeon they could have made a raid, especially over SM? Come on. Proof blizz doesn’t know what their players actually enjoy
BFD was not one of my favorite dungeons but the raid ended up good and they also teased something for SM. I also kinda don't mind missing gnomer for leveling.
You been MIA the last several months? BlizzCon announcement already heavily implied BFD (25), Gnomer (40), SM (50), and Kara (60) is the raid roadmap.
Proof you’d rather bitch than read. They’re tying up the major loose end storylines from Classic that never saw the light of day or never saw their payoff. Given the context surround Xal’atath appearing in SoD, Twilight rumblings in BFD, Thermaplugg’s connections to the Dark Irons and therefore Twilight factions it makes a hell of a lot more sense contextually. Naturally it’ll lead us to SM as we’ve already had plenty of lore surrounding Light and Void with the Scarlet Crusade being the antithesis to the Twilight while working towards similar evil ends - before we trek into the Plaguelands, and Kara will likely serve as the narrative thread as it can manipulate space and time just as CoT in many respects. The foundational stories we’re getting here serve as a platform for the retail trilogy story they’re moving forward with in Metzen’s tutelage.

So far SoD has only disappointed, i won't even continue play if devs continue on this course. Ignoring players nor fixing anything, only balancing hunters, bfd too easy. Not much discovery and now we are awaiting p2 and no mention of it
