Be sure to manually pollinate your melons. There's also a yeast boost recipe that incorporates wood ash and Epsom salt. Search yt for it, I'm gonna try it this year too
I’m in Northern California and I’m having that same problem with my tomatoes and peppers. I heard about this Epsom salt trick and I’m gonna try it. Thanks for the advice, wish me luck.
I’m in the eastern Sierras area of California and all my plants are thriving as far as growing goes but my tomatoes simply stopped flowering… the plants themselves are thriving just no flowers 😖so no fruit. I put compost down before planting… gave them all plant food and epson salt and still nada. I guess I’ll try spraying them!
@@LargeFamilyHomestead I just watched a video on crushing up aspirin into your plant water and it sounds like a huge benefit for struggling plants! 1 aspirin per gallon water. The guy said it helps alot with the problems we’ve been experiencing!
I was just doing some research up here in Maine trying to solve my issue with our tomatoes. Too much sun or water was my thought and seeing this video has given me an idea to try! Thanks a bunch 😁
Dittos here in New Hampshire. Tooooo much rain! I also find that adding bone meal which is adding phosphorus has kept my plants( including tomatoes, and squash) blooming and producing through this heavy amount of rain. As far as squashes go high temperatures such as what we have been getting(90 degrees and above) will keep the female flowers from producing.
@@kathym2563 Oddly enough my hydrangeas have bloomed more than the past three years, and that’s what makes me think phosphorus isn’t lacking. Very good tips here, thanks!
Every time you walk by your tomato plants and see a cluster of flowers, just use your fingers and tap on the vine close to the flowers. They need to be pollinated and you might be suffering like I did from this same issue. I now have tomatoes forming on my plants. I will throw a video up on my channel this evening showing them. I think I have one up showing how they were struggling. Happy Growing!
One thing that I had to do to my tomatoes was hand pollinate them. Everywhere I seen a cluster of flowers, I would rapidly tap the vine, shaking the flowers. Someone told me to use one of those vibrating toothbrushes but I didn't have one on hand for that. I now have multiple clusters of tomatoes forming after about a week of doing that. I just didn't have any bees around them. The bees were all over my cucumbers and watermelon but not the tomatoes. Good luck!
That's a great point to make. We also pollinate our plants - even though there are bees around them. But, that's something for people to be aware of. Thanks for joining us. ♥♥♥
We did one dose and taped this 10 days later right before we did a second dose. It's been about a week since that dose and I don't think they will need anymore. Everything is looking really good. ♥

Yes! Please let us know how it goes. It seems that the plants need it sprayed directly on them for some reason. ♥

@@LargeFamilyHomestead ok thanks! We are trying tonight
I overwatered an overly composted bed and I had to add fertilizer to prevent a total die off!!
Everything that I plant is struggling really bad that is the ones that grew
Yes, it's been a struggle for a lot of people recently. Trying spraying the plants and see what happens. ♥
