Don't put ore into matter. Grow trees and dump them into matter production. It It can scale forever and you do not need to ever expand for new resources!
Agreed, but with one caveat: oil and mineral water (the latter especially) can be freely dumped into matter. Even if you convert them back, they're much more dense on the train network when shipped as matter.
6:48 Your fluid unbarrelling machines for lubricant should dump the empty barrels into an active provider chest, not into a passive provider chest. Unless you want to be swimming in empty barrels later.

I have one additional mod recommendation. Its called Rate Calculator and its a huge help in mods like this. With the mod you can drag to select a selection of machines and the mod will automatically run the numbers on the ratios and spit out the required inputs and most importantly the number of machines to achieve that number of inputs per second. You can also select an entire assembly line to see what raw products it requires. I heavily recommend trying it out.

Yay for a continuation! Admittedly i still would far far sooner go with my 1:1 train blueprint for k2 again, but ive been nose deep in my k2+se blueprint designs for factorioprints. In true factorio engineer fashion, watching someone else's designs just makes me want to go back and design some more, for science!
This base is so overbuilt and I love it. I started and finished my own K2 run while this series has been happening

You can make a much simpler balancer by using loaders into and out of a stationary wagon (or other multiblock storage).
When I first saw this series you had half the subscribers you did now but you still only have a tenth of the subscribers you deserve!

As an engineer myself, I can clearly see that this factory is running far too smoothly. Where's the lack of communication? The parts and components on back order for 4-5 months? The manufactured urgency due to poor management?
