Normally, I prefer calmer music as both a composer and listener, but Terterian's 3rd is a fantastic and intense work. For me, it's easily as compelling as any of the Mozart and Bruckner I've heard, and definitely more so than any Haydn.

Incredible performance and an unbelievable sound world. Composers like Terterian, Shostakovich, Kancheli, Jon Leifs, Zhu Jianer in his early period...they are truly one of a kind.
Thank you for this upload and the chance to hear something magical. I can say of this composer: his music sounds like no other I have heard. The sound world is unique and compelling. It's also great to hear it played by a first-rate orchestra. The solo instrumentalists produce sounds like flowing liquids.
The timpanist is just terrific. A very original composition, something that seems to tell us legends from an ancient tribe. The music is quite earthy. Deservedly worth listening to.

I would much rather listen to this than "Happy Birthday to You" played on a kazoo, and I'm sure there's at least one person in that audience who shares the same opinion. As you can see from the comments, there are many people who appreciate it, so you can keep your smart-aleck comments to yourself.
