I think I like the cloud concept if we consider Galactus is a living force of nature, as if a walking black hole. I just wish we could see a more well done shadow to prove that there is in fact a living being commanding this phenomenon
The intent of the movie’s producers was “he’s just hidden by the space debris.” You can see the outline of his head and even his giant hand reaching out towards Silver Surfer in this very clip. He’s not “a big cloud.” They probably just couldn’t figure out a way to make Galactus’ true form look believable for live action and chose to obscure him. Unfortunately, legions of morons think he was actually just a big cloud.
Tom Rothman demanded that Galactus' appearance be changed in Rise of Silver Surfer, as he thought that his original design was too silly and comic booky. Eitri: "Yeah, that's what...a comic book movie means."
When I was a kid I used to think galactus was hiding in the cloud and he was just using this as his force field to keep the fantastic four and silver surfer from getting to him
I love how at 3:30 we get a glimpse of comic-accurate Galactus inside of the cloud, as well as a shadow of his helmet when he passes Saturn earlier. He was apparently going to be featured in a spin-off Silver Surfer movie where he'd get his comic book outfit, but that movie never happened.
Most of you are too young but SS is a creation of Galactus. Galactus is born of another universe before ours. He is omnipotent in our universe because he is one of three forces of Eternity, Death, and Galactus. He is neither good nor bad. He serves a purpose in the universe. He is invulnerable and impervious to any harm. SS could no more destroy him than a newborn could kill its mother. Galactus's power is far, far beyond SS. He did reject Galactus but his punishment was to be banished to earth with no way to leave because of a barrier Galactus put there. Anyway just saying.
Galactus isn't that big of a deal. He doesn't rank on the same level as Death or Eternity, though he is aware of them, and he has been hurt or subdued many times
Didn't he go to the epicenter of his universes collapse absorbing his universes omnipotent beings when the big bang happened in our universe? My dad was into comics way back when and there is a story of Galactus in which he fights the sentinels and looks for their eggs inside of planet's. These eggs produce a defensive mechanism in which the eggs start to modify the genome of sentient beings on the planet turning them into mutants. The closer the eggs are to hatching the stronger the beings are. The story explained that is the reason for all the super heros and the reason that asgsrdians are so powerful, they defend their planet allowing the egg to continue to gestate. I believe that beings like Reid Richard and his son, a shape-shifter are the most powerful beings that can be produced by genome modification by the eggs.
@@OGSavage175 Yes, you are correct. However, it did not start that way. I am probably around your dad's age or older lol. Galactus (whose original name was Galan - a scientist in the previous universe) was absorbed by the cosmic egg of the new universe before the big bang. Instead of the radiation killing him it turned him into the planet eater and with the big bang was simultaneously expelled into this universe with Eternity and Death who he refers to as siblings as they were all created at the same time. It was later that we found out he was created to stop the spread of the celestials race and of their tinkering in this universe by eating planets (as you say) where they planted seeds. That is his destructive role as he does not only eat those planets but other planets as well to sustain his existence. He is supposed to at some point compensate this universe for all his destruction but as to what that compensation is or when we don't know. He is neither good or bad. He simply maintains a balance in the universe between creation and destruction.

He didn't sacrifice himself. He created a black hole and took Galactas to another Galaxy.
Norrin Radd AKA Silver Surfer can never leave Galactus. He have 1/4 of Galactus Power.
In the comics im sure F4 talk sense in to silver surfer who then goes to Galactus and says he will no longer serve, then Galactus sends silver surfer to Earth forever to live as Norin Radd
To give life. You must give a part of yourself...or at best yourself ... I cry each time I watch this scene

People: Wtf dude! What is this garbage?!
Galactus: Sorry, running on tight budget...
I honestly don’t know why people hated these films. They were very faithful to the Fantastic Four and I can’t really see what’s wrong with them?
Lol because people are stupid, have you ever been to Walmart? That’s the majority population...
Because Galactus don’t like the comics but forget he’s big and uses powers to drain planets.
They got the character designs right, and definitely got Silver surfer extremely accurate (in terms of how he looks). But other than that it wasn’t faithful to the Fantastic four at all from the clips I’ve seen.
@@readacomicreadmore8213 how is it not faithful to the F4. Mr. Fantastic can stretch. Sue can turn invisible. Johnny can flame on and the Thing says it’s clobbering time.
Were you just mad that Galactus was a giant cloud instead of a giant man wearing a purple helmet?
Need better reason than that
I can get why they hate the 2nd one for obvious reasons but the first is a misunderstood masterpiece imo
Who wants to see silver surfer vs thanos ?
he already lost. even while having Mjolnir

The fact at 1:25 you can kinda. Of see Galactus eyes and head means I been waiting for mcu to make a move with him
Can't see shit. By the way that giant ass alien at the end of Eternal shows that the MCU knows where and how big Galactus would look in size in future movies😌🔥
I love how Surfer just smirks and is like: "Ok Johnny, let's go kick his butt!"
Personally i don't read comics so i enjoyed the movie, i love these Fantastic Four movies and the cast is great.
I like how when his was giving life back to her you see the severe damage it was doing to his skin but main around his heart showing physical what he is doing for her.
This scene was outstanding in the theatre
I know. Before I knew this was ripoff Galactus, I was blown away by what I saw as a kid.
"I will no longer serve. This is the end for us both." Destroys Galactus and himself. What a way to say "I quit" to the boss.
3:27 - Moral of this story: It's cool to have mods, just never ever give them too much power.
2:37 that almost smile proves that silver surfer finally accepted the F4's friendship
he does some surfing and kills the enemy. 10/10 would watch space surfing again.
For some reason I love these f4 movies. I agree with everything about inaccuracy to the comics etc. but actors/actresses’ chemistry was on point man. I still watch them again here and there to spend fun time
I like this portrayal of Galactus. The comic book version that I grew up on in the 70's, a big dude, would have been a little silly.

Silver Surfer he is the coolest and awesome superhero in all the time in the universe of Fantastic Four I like the moment when he sacrificed to destroy Galactus and save the fantastic Four
Not a superhero, more of a Anti -Hero.
@@capzify1830 He's absolutely a superhero he was only tricked into working for Galactus. Now he spends his life helping people to atone for the planets he helped Galactus destroy, but even before he was a herald for Galactus he was a righteous man who would do anything to protect the innocent.
He didnt die, he "absorbed" galactus

Galactus is eternal "The be-all and end-all am I"- Galactus

Same thing, galactus is still alive, he just wont be coming to earth again until hes destroyed all planets in other universes which could take forever. But he gets destroyed before that anyway. Cant remember how as theres multiple ways hes died, but silver surfer crashes to earth and reveals galactus is dead. What ever fate they decided for him in this multiverse is unknown. But obviously galactus doesnt actually stay dead, he has to be brought back to stop abraxas. But in this story hes just warped to another universe
Galactus is a 4th dimensional super powerful god..
**Killed with a surfboard
He wasn't kill but push away
Wasn't killed, the surfer can create a blackhole or teleport...he probably transported him by using the cosmic power he has from Galactus.
I think silver surfers super power is called " cosmic" and he released it
An sploded all over the space.
See what i did there. Hahaha
Bruh you do not know how strong silver surfer really is 🤦🏽♂️😂
The silver surfer was given a tiny fraction of galactus's power as his slave to be used to hunt for more worlds to feast on, also galactus can recreate himself from absolutely nothing
when Silver Surfer healed Sue, you can see him decaying
I think I like the cloud concept if we consider Galactus is a living force of nature, as if a walking black hole. I just wish we could see a more well done shadow to prove that there is in fact a living being commanding this phenomenon
It's actually based on the ultimate universe Galactus which is a cosmic storm so it is comicbook accurate.
@@sigiliguswhere is his hand at
Silver Surfer and Galactus need their own movie. Galactus better be Galactus next time too haha.
Tom Rothman demanded that Galactus' appearance be changed in Rise of Silver Surfer, as he thought that his original design was too silly and comic booky.
Eitri: "Yeah, that's what...a comic book movie means."

It's definitely a piece to make the movie stand strong
People all hating they made Galactus into a cloud, but no one bat an eye when they did the same thing with Dormamu
When I was a kid I used to think galactus was hiding in the cloud and he was just using this as his force field to keep the fantastic four and silver surfer from getting to him
Director to the VFX team : Where Galactus?
I love how at 3:30 we get a glimpse of comic-accurate Galactus inside of the cloud, as well as a shadow of his helmet when he passes Saturn earlier.
He was apparently going to be featured in a spin-off Silver Surfer movie where he'd get his comic book outfit, but that movie never happened.
I'm so high right now I thought this was the trailer for the new fantastic four 😅😅
As many faults this movie had, the Silver surfer isn't one of them. I think that this character version is amazingly well done.
Perfect casting for fantastic four.... The real fantastic four 2007 vibes 💯😍💯💯
The voice of silver surfer was god level casting, shoutout to Laurence. I’d expect SS to have a velvet rich voice.
