@@nickdrake4199 it is an issue with wright standard they chose the motor for the soul purpose of saving money and it will cost them dearly in a few short years in sales
@@darrellhicks4197 Absolutely incorrect. The Wright "Standers" are not related to engine motors. Those motors haver their own separate warranties. I would advise you to study up on these topics. Vanguard is its own company like Kawasaki and Kohler. Wright does not manufacture those motors or even design then in any way. It's a Vanguard issue. Inserting a 37 HP EFI Motor was not an attempt at saving money. Are you not aware of how much those things costs? The only savings targeted here is gas and the amount of oil changes.
The Vanguard EFI 37 or 40HP engines are offered on almost all of the most high end mowers. They are likely the best engine on the market and at $4500 per engine, hardly a cost saving measure. All engines can have problems. For your one issue there are 100 other guys with no issues.
what can i do to get into a zxt and get out of this smoking scag? this is my 3rd one with issues, the newest only having 11 hours on it and the engine smokes when it wants to, the dealer and scag have ghosted me and won't return my calls, emails or texts. I've made several videos and at this point i'd take a larger overkill machine for my small 2 acres as long as it and the manufacturer are built to last.
I am amazed at the comments I am reading here. I have 4 Wright mowers and have had very little issues.

Problem is we can't get them I've asked my dealer three times when they were coming in with no answer in sight!. Would love to get one!
Tried to get a demo several times with no luck and now the clutches shearing off have me reconsidering

You should take it to the dealer for warranty repair. That's a Vanguard issue, not Wright

Why don’t y’all put a adjustable baffle on the deck for example toro decks?
