We used to have a... leather guy in town (he passed).. he did leather work for state police.. holsters, belts etc. and he repaired bridles, saddles etc. He could have fixed that bags handle. You must have a leather guy somewhere... maybe
The yellow Coach with broken bits, take it in Coach store they'll check make sure its real, say it was a gift and you'll be able to send it in for repair.
Honestly from someone who collects Coach I think you got a pretty good haul (except that wallet, ugh, I would definitely tell Thred up about that one!) I was watching for all of the signs for a fake on that third bag and from my perspective it looks authentic, the C's were "updated" a few years back to look more modern, it does have the YKK zipper, the C's all line up well and it has the little word "coach" in one of the C's on the outside, plus with the printed bags the interior should have no printed fabric. PS any of the serial numbers can be looked up by using the numbers after the hyphen, typically it's a Coach outlet purse if that number starts with an "F" (stands for "factory"). Good luck! :)
You can use regular paste or cream shoe polish on leather handbags. There are a million colors online. I use Cadillac Leather Cleaner first, then apply a thin coat of the shoe polish, with a cloth in a circular motion and let it dry for 30 minutes and then buff with a soft cloth or shoe brush. You will be amazed at how beautiful the leather is. Sometimes I do up to 3 coats, letting it dry in between, just because I love a deep shine. If you can't match the polish to the leather there is always neutral or clear shoe polish. It is easy and you bag is nice and clean and protected.
I just went to the Coach website and it appears that they still do repairs. One year warranty work and then after that at a fee. The instructions for sending in and getting price quotes are given. Good lunch with the little chartreuse bag.

Goodwill blue box does NOT let you send a bad box back! I had one a few weeks back and I contacted them. They basically said too bad! It’s what it is... and he said to me if you don’t like it you shouldn’t buy the boxes then! What the f!!!

When he wrote me back he was actually kind of rude like that it’s in the description that you know the box could entail junk. Because one of the box that I had received was junk the whole box was Junk was not sellable at all basically all crap
I think the initial shock was a bit blinding. After cleaning and leather conditioner they will all go double what you paid for the whole box. Its worth the money to get the strap fixed at a cobbler.
I got my Coach box 2 days ago. I got a fake, 2 beyond repair, 1 small old one that might bring 25.00, a small keychain and a watch that doesn't work. I was so disappointed. I did email them for the bag that is fake. They are suppose to have an authentication team. I emailed them. We will see what they do.
Sell the mustard shoulder strap as a replacement...many times parts goes for more than an actual bag...also can sell the coach tags separately. Magic eraser and Wilson’s leather wipes from your grocery store do wonders. Fakes never have the ykk zippers.
If you really love the gold bag I would definitely take it to a cobbler to fix the strap. Especially if you want to keep it for yourself, then it is worth the investment. I would definitely complain to ThredUP about the wallet.
For the coach bag with the wide C's ...I believe that's their "new" designs for the signature bags . Usually coach bags on all the metal parts and doodads should be stamped coach too

Yeah I bought a Dooney&Bourke bag from the youtube world of resellers she knows who she is, and it was sold to me not broken in terrific condition, and it's so broken I can't use it. So I feel your pain.
The broken one I would cut the handle off and just use it as a cross body, yes it's not good enough but still useable ,and you can keep it for yourself, I would always expect to have to clean any bag I thrifted
ok, I'm a little confused about the yellow purse. I know you can't use the short handle, but can't you connect the shoulder strap to the D-rings? I don't like handles and always use the shoulder strap myself, so It seems like it would still have some value to someone like me, and would be happy to get something like that at a good discount.

I contacted them, sent pics and they paid the shipping to send it back. I got a refund. Only one of the bags was decent. I sold it and made back most of what I spent. One of the 5 was a worn out wallet! How do they consider that as a “bag”? Needlessly to say, that was my first and last thred up purchase. .
I have seen ThredUp put accessories like wallets, phone cases, coin purses, etc..in their $100 Coach AND their designer handbag rescue boxes. I would not be happy if I rec’d accessories in a handbag box. I still can’t get over that they sent you a Coach purse with a broken handle! Ugh!! 🙀😡
You can buy Coach hardware on eBay, or you can part out the yellow one. People sell the hang tag, lining, straps, and hardware. I almost think you can make more money parting it out than you can getting the hardware and taking it to a repair shop.
I much prefer Coach leather bags over the coated canvas or fabric bags. I got super lucky on facebook last year and found a basically unused nude Christie Carryall for $50 (it had a ballpoint pen mark on the bottom and the seller didn't want to risk ruining the bag trying to remove it). I manged to successfully remove the ink and now have a great bag for spring/summer!! Also check Ebay for Coach parts, esp if you can figure out the style
Hello friend. I think that coach repairs this type of damage. I would contact them. They should have authorized places that could have the parts and help you repair it. I have a lot of Coach bags myself, and they stand by their product. I have the cleaner for the material, and I am sure you are not the first and not the last to have a broken strap. That lime green bag is sweet, don't trash it.

These “boxes” are a real gamble. In all fairness; not perfect by any means but are in truly really better than thrift store condition. I think they’re all pretty worthy of what you paid . That weird “loop” on that mustard bag is for a belt/Fanny pack I think. Shoemaker can do easy handle repair. But 5 items for $100 net net ~$20 per item; not awful. Thrift stores are now selling used bags for way more! I also don’t think they can sell you illegal coach items. Major copyright infringement ramifications for them. Truth; you have to really know how to authenticate these bags to define them. Love your video and candor. These boxes have become so popular; the prices will only increase on supply and demand.
