FOR PEOPLE THAT CANT TURN DURING THE CANCEL (console players most likely) - A cancel works only with a full opposite input (the green area here 5:15) - If you are on console, you most likely have a cross deadzone (or circle, doesn't matter) like the one on the left. So to be able to cancel you are gonna have to aim for the green area on the bottom and top. You could still not be able to do it for 2 reasons. 1. Your controller deadzone is so high, you get rid of the green. 2. Your aerial sens is so low your car barely moves - FIXES: Decrease your controller deadzone and increase your aerial sens till you get a nice speed on your cancels Any questions you may have about cancels or ideas for other videos leave them here in the comments guys 😄

@@Epro-hv1qi You cannot cancel sideflips, and diagonal flips are often hard to cancel because u may just be flipping a tiny bit off in the wrong direction. Front flips are just very straight forward I'll maybe do that! good idea. I'll see if other people like that part of the video as well.

Bro maktuf this has got to be one of the most important tutorials out there rn. I’m c3 and I’m hard stuck with my mechanics. My peak is a triple reset with rapid resets but I felt like training was becoming stale because it felt like all the stuff I needed to learn was just a variation of what I was already doing but I just wasn’t good enough yet. This video is something not enough freestylers are talking about and gives me something to grind towards getting better at because I always wondered what was separating the smoothness in pros movement from mine but this video makes me understand exactly what I was missing bridging the gap between diagonal flip cancels and vertical with an input after. I finally understand the inputs better now, you’re the goat
I've been saying for years there is a controller discrepancy in RL and they need to standardize some basic movements. You gotta jump through so much hoops to get mastery level. I would love a video of Maktuf playing on a new console with the best settings and seeing if it even matches. (I'm sure he could)

When I do this on Xbox, the steezy flips don’t cancel the way yours does. It just does a normal flip cancel. Ive tried messing with my dead zones. The only way I can try and do it is with a dead zone at 0, but it’s extremely hard to control my car. Is this down to the square dead zone pc have access to?

I have more than 8k hours spent playing on the keyboard, and at the beginning of this month I decided to switch to the controller, I'm progressing very quickly and this video opened my eyes to how much fun flips are, something so simple but so clinical, very good video bro
even for freestylers, the lowest deadzone you can have is always the best. But the thing for freestylers is that we are also trying to get those perfectly straight frontflips amd backflips consistently and you can only do that with a little bit of a higher deadzone. So, if you can consistently do perfectly straight front or back inputs with a deadzone as low as 0.05 then that is more than perfect 👌 but look at what happens to flip cancels when you have such a low deadzone (at least for me and other freestylers) 27:26 Lowest deadzone if seen a freestyler use and be consistent with it is 0.15
I am trying to get better at rl moving towards higher ranks. But i saw this video in wich there is explained that flip cancel is used by higher ranks, but there was said to watch a video about sens and deadzone. In this video there is explained that pros use low deadzone doesnt this mean it is really hard to flip cancel right. I am wondering if i should try and learn more flip cancels by using a higher deadzone or putting it down like the pros to be more free in the air as said in the sens vid?

For those who may be new to freestyling or trying to up their mechanical skill: Just remember that some of these things take hundreds if not thousands of hours to truly master. you may get it down in the first 10 min or it may take you a few months (and even longer to get it down in game/under pressure). Dont get discouraged otherwise this dead comm becomes even more dead :D

This isn't working for me. When I do a straight cancel then immediately move the stick to the corner, it just un-cancels the flip. Idk what I'm doing wrong.

Great video however when you’re showing stuff like joyo’s plays it would be a lot more helpful for you to actually slow down the video instead of just pausing and going back yes I know I can just do that but then your voice is slowed as well and it’s not as great of an experience . What do you mean exactly by uncanceling? To stop canceling so stop holding the stick down or up and letting it go to neutral? Or if for example we are talking about a back flip cancel holding stick up to cancel, uncanceling would mean getting the stick down?... I'm confused
how come joyo can cancel flips perfectly fine with low dead zone? asking because i wanna be able to stall and things like that but i don’t like the feeling of high dead zone
he is very very good (I can also cancel at 0.07 but this happens at 27:26) watch my deadzones and sens video to find your deadzone and not loose the smooth feel. It may help a bit The lowest deadzone you can have is always the best deadzone, just make sure u also maintain consistency to flip perfectly straight everytime

The pro player analysis helped me SOOOO much. Great video however when you’re showing stuff like joyo’s plays it would be a lot more helpful for you to actually slow down the video instead of just pausing and going back yes I know I can just do that but then your voice is slowed as well and it’s not as great of an experience . Just something to think about
@@pepsiman6q I thought about that too! but for some reason its even harder for me to see what is happening in slow motion. Quick snappy movements from uncancels and cancels arent as clear in slow mo, everything is just as slow.
But Ill maybe take it into consideration for the next analysis
What do you mean exactly by uncanceling? To stop canceling so stop holding the stick down or up and letting it go to neutral? Or if for example we are talking about a back flip cancel holding stick up to cancel, uncanceling would mean getting the stick down?... I'm confused

how come joyo can cancel flips perfectly fine with low dead zone? asking because i wanna be able to stall and things like that but i don’t like the feeling of high dead zone
he is very very good (I can also cancel at 0.07 but this happens at 27:26)
watch my deadzones and sens video to find your deadzone and not loose the smooth feel.

The lowest deadzone you can have is always the best deadzone, just make sure u also maintain consistency to flip perfectly straight everytime

Idk what I do not right, but even on 0.25x speed I can't do your flip cancels, I am frustrated. I have been doing it 6 hours already...

me and my friend went against you earlier this morning maktuf, if was fun running into you, ggs man.
The pro player analysis helped me SOOOO much. I always know my biggest set back was not being able to utilize my flips like I should be but you helped break it down so well it became so easy for me to take it into my playstyle. thank you so much maktuf all your videos like this one and square dead zone and finding sensitivity has helped me have better control and just enjoy rl more!
